The answer to your question is sort of yes. You do not need to equip the cutter. Just open your scanner and then draw your weapon and it is automatically the cutter. Close the scanner and it automatically switches to the last weapon you had equipped
Yeah I know about that. I just meant to switch to your last equipped weapon, not necessarily the cutter.
At the next rank of Security (lockpicking), when you select a pick the rings it will work on will be highlighted in blue.
Makes the whole process much better.
Since you are like me and can never remember what resources you need, try using the tracking feature. When you are building or in a bench and you are short of resources hit X and it will put an icon above the resources you need.
In regards to access to the ship being dependent on your distance from it:
What's funny is you're always able to sell stuff directly from your ship's cargo hold, regardless of how far the vendor is from your ship.
With that in mind, a neat little way to get something from your ship if you're too far away is to sell it to a vendor then, buy it back. It costs you nothing if you do so without exiting the vendor interface.
You can assign Lin and/or Heller to your outpost to get them off the ship.
No, there is no button that will take you to your previously equipped weapon, but if you want to have an easier time using the mining laser, just open the hand scanner and use the trigger button, and you'll automatically use the minging laser.
You don't even need to switch to it.
Your character will switch to it automatically as long as you have the hand scanner opened.
Yeah, I know about the cutter. I was just hoping they made switching to your previously equipped weapon easier, like in Fallout.
I love that the same sex relationship options are actually viable.
