Created Warden after it (only class I never gave fair chance) and now I am 54 and can not stop playing it. Once you get hang of it it is for me the most fun class in lotro. You literaly have it all. AoE dots, AoE burst, single target Dots and single target burst, heals, buffs, movement speed, ranged option, etc.
@@aubreytheweirdone Right now can't decide between a Captain or a lore master. I have a difficult time playing any other race other than man or elf for roleplay reasons. Captain seems like the better choice. But I might give the LM a try for debuffing in groups. I like the Gandalf esthetic. Maybe one as a main and one as an alt. depends on how devoted I become to sticking with the server. I always tell myself I'm going to participate in more group play when I return but inevitably become a solo player.
The original 7 classes at the beginning of LOTRO dovetailed so well. Each class felt tuned for a certain role. LOTRO seemed to have really nailed the class system and also seemed to pioneer crowd control, with the burglar’s role in Fellowship Maneuvers being a huge part of this. As more classes were added, the original classes were homogenized, and FM’s became a less significant part of group play, LOTRO just seemed like a collection of classes that each took a turn being OP until public outcry forced the devs into nerfing one or buffing another… creating a cycle of merry-go-round class design. If they had stuck with the original seven then things would be different. It makes sense in the current context to rate classes S-tier or F-tier, as you have done, because people are almost forced to simply pick the most OP class, rather than the one than fits best within a play style they enjoy. Go back to 2007 and pick a class then, and it is entirely different than picking one today.
For solo gameplay, "purple" Beorning is just amazing. Prime red line but go enough into blue to get the recuperate skill and anything that doesn't one shot you just doesn't survive.
I like the hunter, rune keeper and champion in that order. My hunter is anything but boring. I get hit plenty in blue line but I don't only use my bow against enemies. I often wear them down with the bow then let them get close enough to finish them off with my daggers. It makes the fight more interesting. On bosses, I use my trap and the yellow trip wire then my bow skills while backing up. My hunter is my go-to class and the transport ability is great to have. My lightning rune keeper is more than adequate for my playstyle. He's maneuverable, fast and fun to play. My champion...well it's a toss-up between him and my guardian. Both are lethal. I have no patience with the warden. He's too complicated to learn and remember...all those gambits are nerve-wrecking. I prefer to use my playtime enjoying the game without all the focus on skill order.
I definitely enjoyed the video, had a good laughs at some comments in the good sense, it's refreshing seeing Lotro videos from someone so young. It would have been nice going a bit further and commenting a bit more about lines. I mained loremaster for as long as the game exists and I recently suffered the drastical changes made to the class. I get that perhaps you made this video before the revamp? Anyway, soloing in blue line with either the bog guardian or the bear it's pretty safe and enjoyable. They made it so it's a bit less tactical imo but more understandable for new players. Thanks for the content and keep enjoying Lotro!
Yes, this video was made before the revamp and now I play a Lore-Master a lot on the new Angmar server. Thanks for watching the video and there should be in the future.... another video going over the class lines more... but you didn't hear that from me
I never liked the hunter or burg even from the beginning but some people just love that playstyle. I was always a main tank, it takes a special kind of person to want to tank, (a DODGE tank specifically where 50% of attacks would just flat out miss me and proc all my skills). I always said that guardians may be SLOW to solo, but we almost NEVER die. I could solo whole dungeons and areas that you were not supposed to go without a group. When they added 2 hand weapons way back it made solo grinding way better. But then I switched to Captain and I couldn't believe how good the glass was. You can tank AND kill stuff in short order. Its such a good class. All the caster classes in LOTR are really solid to play too. That is an amazing trick for an MMO where they are usually either totally OP or really bad.
Burglar is the best class for me. I like the high crits and procs and fast paced gameplay. Its just so much fun :D And I was never the biggest fan of the WoW Rogue xD
@@robertvocals Fast paced gameplay… that’s actually a perfect way of explaining burglar’s and that is what I think I was trying to explain in the video. I love that it’s like that.
Not played in years, jumped in to the new Legendary server, and I'm having lots of fun. The progression is slow and chill with just enough complexity to keep me interested. The game world is beautiful - I don't mind the graphics. The music is great also.
Wardens: I love the concept of the gambit system. such a different approach to combat than most other classes. Wardens, when played well, are solo masters. A LOT of gambits, yes, but a lot of them are just ignored as low priority similarly to low priority skills of other classes. 4 keybinds give you a huge amount of flexibility with your abilities. Warden may not be the 'best' class in the game. But it is easily my favorite.
I've been playing Hunter back in 2007 and been a Warden main ever since Moria. I also played a decent amount of minstrel and lore-master when my raid group had to shuffle around a bit. Came here to check out what the general vibe is nowadays since I left after Mirkwood and I'm thinking about starting over on a legendary server. Beornings look very interesting, but I'm also thinking about Minstrel or Captain.
The current graphics might not be the best available but they're both charming and nostalgic. But yeah the monetization needs a lot of improvement. Other games just give you more options and better value in their stores.
@@Tory-JJ 1. Coffers would be packaged to be more consumer-friendly. 2. Store purchases (that aren't consumables) would be account unlocks rather than character bind-on-acquire. 3. Things would actually be added to the store once in a while, it's mostly the same stuff that's been there for years.
Sadly, in relation to the graphics, I think that's almost impossible to do, because they would have to remake a big part of the code from the ground up. At that point, it would be better to just make a new game.
Very informative video. Keep up the excellent work! I find that my favorite class in LOTRO is whichever one I happen to be playing. Sure, I'll miss some abilities/skills from other classes but I get really connected with the character I am focusing. If I drop that character and return six months later I completely reconnect. I've always enjoyed playing alts but LOTRO really makes each class a fun and unique experience.
I just came back about 3 weeks ago, and rolled a red LM, i felt really powerful all the way to 100, soloing all the 3 man instances and quite a few of the 6 mans but minis tirith just killed it for me. its so laggy and difficult to traverse i just had to take a break. so i'm watching your video to see what my alt should be. every other class other than the bear has felt weak
I'd put Warden at least in A IF you start picking up patterns. I.E. Shield spear, shield spear, etc.. Going from a 2x combo to a 4+, etc., all are different gambits. You don't need to know all the gambits😊 That being said, I understand your experience with them😁 It took me quite a while for it to click, like a 'light-bulb'. Good video! Always interesting to see other views😁 Edit: I actually love all classes in their own right and still have to check out Corsair and Brawler😊
i tried warden many times, gambits just seem like unnecessary work. they get 'shortcut' ones to build gambits faster, but it makes your ability to react slower than just using the skill directly, like normal classes. Not only is trying to remember them and use them all flawlessly much more of a learning curve, it makes the gameplay feel slower because you have to do more than one action to get a skill off. Note that other classes still should 'memorize' certain rotations of skills that are optimal for given situations, but it's less tedious to execute them (fewer actions AND time to get desired result)
I recently got back into the game and having fun solo red line guardian, do with a shield. I rarely die and kill fast enough especialy with mix yellow line 😅 Do am also enjoying brawler tank.
As a lvl 30'ish burglar (which I really enjoy) I teamed up with a Mage (lore Master I think) for a while, and pretty much stood by while they melted elite groups in seconds.
Thank you for ranking “Champion” so low. The class really needs an overhaul! I've tried LotRO several times since it started in 2006, but my actual main character (Dwarf - Champion) started his journey in 2011 and is now stuck in West Gondor (yes, I had a lot of breaks). Simply because I can't enjoy the boring playstyle anymore. And that's frustrating because I've traveled halfway across Middle Earth with this guy for almost 13 years!
I played warden since day 1…12 years ago. It was my main class. What I really liked about it was the versatility to solo anything PVE and PVP. I might have to log back in…haven’t played in a while.
yeah, it seems warden's aren't as tough as they used to be, e.g. beorning is more survivable (related to armor and HoT instead of burst healing) on hardest landscape PvE, and RK is better as well (both able to deal with orange on hardest modes reliably from what i see)
I really disagree with the D for Champion. As a Champion player I've many times Solo'd things meant for multiple players and can pull massive amounts of Enemies and burning through them so easily. I'd say Yellow Champ yeah is weak to me, but Red Champ is kind of insane with how much self survivability it has as a DPS
I'm pretty new to Lotro, but tried most of the classes to 10. For me, Yellow line guardian is my favorite! Light-touched, screaming, boot-stomping, hilt-smashing, enemy-cleaving, death machine. In between screaming and cleaving, I enjoy scroll writing, historical reading and a good pipe at the fireside. Great video and awesome community!
Play them all (or as many as you can) to 10. In fact, if you enjoy it carry on. If you want to ditch early go ahead, but try a different colour tree first - sometimes that's a big difference to the way you play. Play the ones you kept up to 20 (again, stopping if it drags). You should have a reasonable idea of the style(s) you like by then. Just keep breaking it down until you hit the one (or more) that you like. For reference I NEED to play variety as I'll get bored and just stop. I like Rune, Hunter and Brawler best (variety of range and style), but I have all of them at some level. Just play as and when. If you enjoy it treasure it - if not, bury it. It may become treasure later 😁
Hmm i came looking as new player, havent installed the game yet for ideas of what to play. but i can see this is a diferent sort of tier list, thank you though, gave me some insight
I have 0 friends on my friends list because I seem to have trouble finding people to play the game with guilds I join say they are active but they all turn out to either not be active or only get one 1 time a week and only play and talk to the friends they already have. And when I try to meet people through world chat not many people acknowledge my messages and the ones that do just give short answers about it's easy to make friends but none of them want to respond after I ask them anything outside world chat

Downloading this for the first time as I watch. I think hearing about its monetization has put me off before, but as an LOTR fan it feels like a sin that I never tried it before!
@@falconforgefantasy9496 I hope you enjoy playing it. I’ve never personally found an issue with LOTRO’s monetization but I will admit it’s gotten a bit less generous over the years. But I always loved LOTRO offering free-to-play by grinding the game and saving LP, or buying the expansions with real monies. The fact that they give an option is quite literally amazing. Most other games just want the money outright.
Put 4000 hours into this game over my time. Haven't played in yearrrrs but am suddenly having the urge to jump back in on the 64bit servers! Is it worth it?
So worth it! More people are playing on the legendary servers right now and it is has been a blast to have so many people with you redoing some of the OG stuff.
hello , new player here , i just finished downloading the game a few minutes ago , what class do you recommend for a new player? i usually play casters and assasins in any mmo i play but im down to try other things except hunters
@@Saryuin I have a few videos on here that discuss what classes I’d recommend. For your preference on casters and assassins, I’d recommend Burglar and Minstrel or Rune-Keeper. Hope that helps :)
I've changed a lot on Loremaster since the rework. Red line is very strong and I love that the pets are temporary (though they are a lot weaker). I almost never use a pet now! I dislike pet classes in general so Captain is a bottom feeder for me. I agree with your views on Hunter and Champion but I stick Beorning and Mini down there as well. All are boring to me. I really like Mariner now in both yellow and red line! Yellow has a lot of fun throwing skills and red has a lot of good combos and great animations. I still prefer guardian overall and play both blue and red. Great video!
Breaking Champ in 2 when HD came out as always been a raging point from me. It was dumb, stupid, lame and other descriptive words in that vein. I want the revamp to return the Champ to its pre-HD setup. Blue is tank, Red is DPS and make Yellow a utility/bleeds.
I love Brawler but I can solo much tougher mobs with Beorning. Brawler needs another heal skill. I have played for a year, so if they have added any heals maybe I will try it again.
yeah i found this as well when i played a couple of years ago, they should really update it, it's been a while! it would be nice that at least one line in every class is able to solo very tough PvE stuff when played properly, that's always fun!
Hunters are wonderful!!! I do take your point though and shall play mine nekkid from now on. Wonder if I can get the title Valtin the bloody rude ! Agree with most of the others and I'll give beornings a better shot.
I'm a Hobbit Hunter - Huntsman (Blue Line) very quick and moveable when attacking, running away still shooting arrows. It's my class and should be at S!!
truly there is nothing more difficult for me, as someone whos just starting the game, than picking my class. so many of them have bits of them i like and bits i dont like and im so indecisive. maybe minstrel? captain? rune-keeper?
Yeah picking a class is quite difficult, but honestly when it doubt pick the three you mention here, get them to level 10 and see for yourself which you prefer the most. It's honestly just going to be easier to decide once you actually have some play time in each class. I hope that helps :)
@@aubreytheweirdone very true, thank you! i guess im also so used to newer style mmo's like ffxiv where one character can play any class at any time that commiting to one feels harder lol
@@mirage8753 MInstrel is great for solo play. However, unlike Beornings, Brawlers weren't really rebalanced after they were relased, and their DPS is insane.
Heck yeah! Welcome to the LOTRO side. The game is still active and growing. They add new content frequently. We just got a new class, race and expansion a couple months back now.
"Warden: I'm complicated. Mariner: Hold my mead." Mariner is way worse now. The tooltips don't even make sense. Saying this skill will bleed or do this, when you don't even have the correct traits etc etc. With warden, you gotta worry about lag. At least that isn't so bad on mariner I guess.
@@Kinvesu I don’t think Mariner is hardly as complicated as Warden personally. Mariner’s level of difficulty is similar to LM’s with just seeing how your skills can combine to do additional damage but warden’s is all about memorization. Memorization for setting up every 40+ skills available (if not more) which is so crazy to me. At least with Mariner, I can click some skills and just need to remember certain skill combos to get the best benefit. But wardens are that plus, just remember some combinations just to get the base skill completed.
@@aubreytheweirdone I get what you are saying. You make a good point. I think it's just because the tooltips have a crazy amount of text on them, saying this skill does this or that, but it isn't true unless some traits are taken. Even though I have been playing since beta, I didn't realize that as I don't join test servers. So mine is level 15 right now and I was scratching my head like why is it no doing what it says, until I looked at traits carefully.
I'm curious on how you say champions AoEs arent that good, for me on my level 60 champ I have skills that can basically one shot enemies even a few levels up, and on top of that kill 13 said enemies at the same time
@@nathanielpickett439 What class line? I have a 60 champ that has decent aoe but the one shotting from an aoe skill is something unheard of anymore. RKs and Minis have that sort of power, but I feel like champs have more bleed damage that makes their aoe not as quick in comparison to RK or Minis aoe that is heavily focused in with crit
@aubreytheweirdone Its yellow line, Raging blade specifically does a lot of damage when you max it + have the tracery for it, but to be fair I also have a lot of good gear that certainly helps.
@@nathanielpickett439 ahhhh yeah. Yellow line champ I hear has certainly got good aoe, but I haven’t tried yellow line in quite some years. I’ll have to check it out soon then!
I had issues patching the game and was unable to play for about 3 months because of it. Finally got it working and have no characters on my account. Haven't heard back from support :(
I don't think the gambit system is that difficult to grasp. Just started playing yesterday, first char being a Warden, and the gambit system is basically a more extended version of the FFXIV Ninja's combo system.
Im still torn between Guardian and Captain. Both classes are fun to play. If I can run sword and shield on a captain then that would seal the deal for me personally.
@@zedorian6547 you can do sword and shield on a captain. But captains only use light shields which are quite hard to obtain in the game. So usually it’s something you can do in the early levels but once you get your legendaries it’s harder to maintain. I’d say Captain is just a better option personally cause they’ve got skills that can do a bit of everything but they are both decent choices.
@@willprotector Awww 😭 It takes practice to get there. That was always what my dad told me. No landscape mobs should come near a hunter cause they won’t last long. Granted the melee with a hunter has changed significantly and has improved since the beginning of the game but it’s still kinda like a rule of thumb I’ve always kept with me.
I main champion and I rerolled to it after hunter because of how boring hunter is. Shoot, shoot again, shoot but after a delay, repeat. At least Champions have animations that vary.
There is a "trick" to the warden gambit system that means you don't really need to memorize all these gambits. You definitely don't need the gambits though some come in more handy for solo play than others. Runekeepers from what I remember are supposed to be somewhat support. The thing many of us loved about LOTRO is the fact that there are support classes even though they may "output" less damage. I understand some may want this to be more cookie cutter like WoW, but then most of us would have just played WoW and never tried LOTRO. I guess from someone like myself who started the game in its beta testing phase? Someone who enjoys RPG's outside of just the MMO realm? I think you should just preface that your tier list is based on nothing more than power and that's what you want when you make a character.
sorry but loremaster is actualy an S.... 1 shot on every mob, self heal and no problems with wraiths.. same with runekeeper. idk where you get youre informations
@@aubreytheweirdone wasn't meant negatively. I started with lotro 2 weeks ago and played a runekeeper and burglar and loremaster to 50.. and I leveled extremely quickly and super... burglar 2 days to lvl 50 without any problems. and runekeeper 1 shot everything
as a champ main i dont see why it needs a rework. their aoe is still the best in the game probably. and when it comes to group play champ has a solid spot in any activites what is very nice. since i heard how it was in mordor and seen how it was in anvil raid on 120 cap. where first you have to weapons swap in combat to compete. second boss mechanics and dps level of champs was so low that 1 spot in 12 man t2 raid could be a problem and you would be replaced by any ranged dps. rk or hunter back then. tanking probably isnt good enough compared to other tanks, but i dont know if anyone still cares about it
@@mirage8753 yeah champ tanks aren’t really as necessary now given there’s so many other off-hand tank options. I don’t see champs as having the best aoe in the game. I certainly think their focus on melee is what makes their aoe not as powerful in comparison to Mini or RK aoe abilities. When building on crit rating, RK and Minis can basically one shot several enemies. In fact my RK has taken out a total of 29 enemies at once with one aoe ability (granted they were two levels below). With a champ, they’re more melee and armor value focused so I feel their aoe damage is more overtime or almost like a bleed in some way. Still quick, but not one shot material for aoe which I feel should be the case for them.
@@aubreytheweirdone yeah, if you are talking about one shot skills in landscape then yes. other classes may have better ones. fury of blades is hard hitter for champ, so if it wont one shot then its fail
you should review lore-master update. They just completely destroyed the class, so boring, so dull in terms of red line they just completely destroyed class fantasy.
As someone who did a bit of HEMA i would say High Elf Guardian does a pretty decent Meyer stile with a two-hander. :'D Then again why the hell even i bring up this merely cool factor? :'D

The mounted combat was a huge mistake, totaly OP, and you do 1 thing only, kite and kill, and verry laggy. at lvl 85 (or maybe 95) ppl was AFK farming for the best gear, couse it droped from normal mobs in the world, but at a droprate of 1/1000 or something like that. I mained as RK from 65 and up and its an empty shell of what it once was. i have no idea what happened at lvl 100 and up, have they kept dumbing things down or have they changed things araound and make it hard again requiering ppl to understand their classes and the bossfights rather then just mash buttons and follow the 1 guy who is leading? dont get me wrong i loved the game verry much, but i really wish they had kept the same quality that they had at 50.
if this is dps chart or raids then its sad. if its solo then hunter and champ should be way higher. on hunter mobs wont be able to reach you in many cases. while on champ you have heals on hits or heals on kills which help a lot for soloing. thats why those 2 are most popular classes in the game btw. just check social panel in prime time on your server. mariner should be at least on the same level as warden. as you know warden is gambits, which are head ache for many ppl. tbh for leveling all classes are good. even loremaster after upcoming u41 should be good since animations were shorten and dps wise it could be even op with current state on bullroarer
@@mirage8753 The chart is my personal opinion on what class is best for solo gameplay. Not strictly just based on dps output, but based on well-rounded skills and fun. Hunters while good for soloing, are boring because they don’t see much combat action with exchanging blows. Unless you turn on landscape difficulty and get defeated often…it’s not a class that I find people will stick to. Champs could be ranked higher for sure, but that’s also another class I feel is too easy to master that will get tiring after awhile because their main thing is aoe, but honestly there are other classes that provide better aoe with the exchange of having more of a variety of skills. Like I said in the video, at the time of the video, I didn’t play much Mariner so I ranked it in the middle just cause the middle is like a “neutral” zone. LM’s will certainly have a different rank once U41 comes out. I like the changes made from the preview I did for them, but I won’t say anything for them until U41 is live.
@@aubreytheweirdone main thing for champs is to deal damage not just aoe. this aoe thing is something from tips in class creation. its outdated in the most part since trait trees were added and every class may take few roles. red line for single target and yellow for aoe. its good in both solo and in group play. you can say its too easy to master when you play it on t4-5 raids. but in depends how you look at it. if its just pushing buttons one after another then every class is easy to master at some degree. if master means raiding for you then even easy classes might be not so easy🙂

Watching your stuff has gotten me back into the game! When I played last, the beorn, mariner, and brawlers didn't even exist yet 😂
Thanks for watching the video and there should be in the future.... another video going over the class lines more... but you didn't hear that from me
@@aubreytheweirdone Glad to hear about, and happy you're playing loremaster! I added the eagle to my blue gameplay btw
@@zimnelredoran9985 Nice!!! I’m a blue line as well, but I’m waiting to get the eagle 😭
Its just so much fun :D
And I was never the biggest fan of the WoW Rogue xD
@@robertvocals Fast paced gameplay… that’s actually a perfect way of explaining burglar’s and that is what I think I was trying to explain in the video. I love that it’s like that.
Not played in years, jumped in to the new Legendary server, and I'm having lots of fun. The progression is slow and chill with just enough complexity to keep me interested. The game world is beautiful - I don't mind the graphics. The music is great also.
I played Dwarf (4yrs ago), Hobbit (10yrs ago) and a bit of Elf (a yr ago) - i don't know what race to choose haha i like them all
Wardens: I love the concept of the gambit system. such a different approach to combat than most other classes.
If lotro gets a BIG graphics and monetization rework, it could compete with the giants of the mmorpg industry.
The current graphics might not be the best available but they're both charming and nostalgic. But yeah the monetization needs a lot of improvement. Other games just give you more options and better value in their stores.
Like what? Name 3 things ya change?
@@Tory-JJ 1. Coffers would be packaged to be more consumer-friendly.
2. Store purchases (that aren't consumables) would be account unlocks rather than character bind-on-acquire.
3. Things would actually be added to the store once in a while, it's mostly the same stuff that's been there for years.
Sadly, in relation to the graphics, I think that's almost impossible to do, because they would have to remake a big part of the code from the ground up. At that point, it would be better to just make a new game.
coping too much?
Guardian its been my main for years i love the class 2 handed hammer or ax red line rest on yellow the best
Finally tried the Brawler recently and it's been fantastic.

Yeah Brawlers are quite fun :) Their animations are fun.
I love brawler also. but at higher level the lack of healing skills makes soloing not as fun.
@@KennyM-p3o True for red brawler as your offense is your defense. Blue brawler is so sturdy, has 2 heals and surprising damage for tank.

Thanks for watching! I'm glad you are able to reconnect with your character after taking breaks because that is a skill I don't have, but want lol.
I just came back about 3 weeks ago, and rolled a red LM, i felt really powerful all the way to 100, soloing all the 3 man instances and quite a few of the 6 mans but minis tirith just killed it for me. its so laggy and difficult to traverse i just had to take a break. so i'm watching your video to see what my alt should be. every other class other than the bear has felt weak
all the complaints you had about hunter is why i like playing them :D but good video !
@@copydepastey hehehehe makes sense cause we are soooo opposite on things 😭 Thanks for watching copy, especially with the audio on too 😁
I was on the fence on going Minstrel on the new legendary servers. You confirmed it for me :D
I rarely die and kill fast enough especialy with mix yellow line 😅
Do am also enjoying brawler tank.
As a lvl 30'ish burglar (which I really enjoy) I teamed up with a Mage (lore Master I think) for a while, and pretty much stood by while they melted elite groups in seconds.
@@RillUK Haha yeah that combo of LM and burg isn’t a fair one 😅 Their range alone would give them a huge advantage of slaying enemies faster
For me personaly bear was pissed when you cant interact objects in bear form, switching to human over and over kinda sucks
Right? I just wanna stay as a bear lol
Heck yeah! It's still holding up well.
warden was my main when it has might primary stats, lol.. after that i cant play it even so many times tried to get it back
yeah, it seems warden's aren't as tough as they used to be, e.g. beorning is more survivable (related to armor and HoT instead of burst healing) on hardest landscape PvE, and RK is better as well (both able to deal with orange on hardest modes reliably from what i see)
love Beorning, and captain is stupid strong lol i was surprised when i tried it
@@Npc_Nate Beornings for the win! Captain is pretty alright 👍
I really disagree with the D for Champion. As a Champion player I've many times Solo'd things meant for multiple players and can pull massive amounts of Enemies and burning through them so easily.

@@falconforgefantasy9496 I hope you enjoy playing it. I’ve never personally found an issue with LOTRO’s monetization but I will admit it’s gotten a bit less generous over the years.
I think you should just preface that your tier list is based on nothing more than power and that's what you want when you make a character.

as a champ main i dont see why it needs a rework. their aoe is still the best in the game probably. and when it comes to group play champ has a solid spot in any activites what is very nice. since i heard how it was in mordor and seen how it was in anvil raid on 120 cap. where first you have to weapons swap in combat to compete. second boss mechanics and dps level of champs was so low that 1 spot in 12 man t2 raid could be a problem and you would be replaced by any ranged dps. rk or hunter back then. tanking probably isnt good enough compared to other tanks, but i dont know if anyone still cares about it
@@mirage8753 yeah champ tanks aren’t really as necessary now given there’s so many other off-hand tank options.
@@aubreytheweirdone yeah, if you are talking about one shot skills in landscape then yes. other classes may have better ones. fury of blades is hard hitter for champ, so if it wont one shot then its fail

if this is dps chart or raids then its sad. if its solo then hunter and champ should be way higher. on hunter mobs wont be able to reach you in many cases. while on champ you have heals on hits or heals on kills which help a lot for soloing. thats why those 2 are most popular classes in the game btw. just check social panel in prime time on your server. mariner should be at least on the same level as warden. as you know warden is gambits, which are head ache for many ppl. tbh for leveling all classes are good. even loremaster after upcoming u41 should be good since animations were shorten and dps wise it could be even op with current state on bullroarer
@@aubreytheweirdone in my case i couldnt say i mastered champ which probably easy to master, since i couldnt run shelob t3+ back on 130 cap with weapon swap. but yeah, i can push some buttons😀
@@aubreytheweirdone Minstrel is as easy to master as a Champ. In fact, most classes are aside from probably Mariner and Warden which IMO require WAY too much button spam.
@@taylemgames2652 Minis are easy to master, but squishy enough to keep combat interesting. You can certainly have some close calls which is what makes them more of an enjoyable class overall to me.
Most to least fun "tiers":
Guardian, Hunter. Burglar
Captain, Champion, Brawler
Minstrel, Rune-keeper
Mariner, Lore-master, Beorning
Warden (much hate for combos)
@@Xaphiero I do have a video on most enjoyable classes and no lie, this list kinda reflects 😅
Hunter is too fast... This is the main DPS class in the game, you want to slower their CD's? Really? If they do that they will ruin the class and it's purpose... Hopefully they don't listen to you. Balance of classes in LotRo is pretty good. Don't fix what is good.
haha. hunters need increased cds. go and say it in world chat to see if you are right :D to have more challenge on hunter take more challenging content. increasing cds is definitely not a wise suggestion
@@mirage8753 If you make more of a challenge on hunter, they quite literally will die 😭 They can’t do that high of landscape difficulty so it’s kinda not a good mix atm. As soon as an enemy gets near you, you’re toast cause medium armor doesn’t hold on long. Especially when long ranged skills are king for them. What would you suggest?
FIRST!
AYEEEEEEE! Thanks for being first Zero! Hope you're having a good day :)
@@aubreytheweirdone it’s always a good day when u post
@@zero_wing_ Awww that means a lot
Your title clearly doesn't fit the rankings. If you want to rank a decent class bottom tier at least don't claim it's about 'best classes'. I've seen a ranking list where you placed them A tier, so I know you know better.. Just be honest with the title if you are going to talk about gut feelings.
They made the video so it's their opinion. To a normal person, that is obvious.
@@Tory-JJ not really, being her video implies that it is her opinion on which classes perform best at soloing content.
But that's not even the case here, it's her opinion on which classes she finds enjoyable/fun.
So while it is no big deal, the title is still misleading.
Srsly, why not you lot go make a video on tier list the way you want it. Free consuming content but whining about it seems goofy
@selenang2006 creating content does not make one free from criticism coming from those who don't. it's a fallacy of poor quality.
@@selenang2006 Is it really that hard to read my complaint, instead of being insulted on the creators behalf? I don't critisise the positions on the list, I critisise the claim of the title on wich it will be ranked, for then the creator using a complete other assesment on ranking them instead. If you think me pointing out this factual difference is somehow a problem then you prefer ignorance over truth.
