I'll never understand HOW a grown man like you (lates 40s) NEVER listened The Bee Gees, c'mon Man , I could understand it on a young man, or teenager, but How is this possible? I've seen a lot of Black men of your age or close to, saying that never hear that band, How old was you in the 80s? This song is from 1978/79, I was 9 years old, and I'm from a far away country called Argentina, and I know this group since that time. Really I start to thinking that some youtubers fake this when Titled, " First time reaction to some artist" I am a Musician I love since my childhood and teenage years The "Black Music"from USA, and with The Bee Gees you can hear the BIG influence in their music.

I understand what your saying brother. But in 1978/1979 i wasn't even born and plus i was born in Africa so we didn't listen to the music from USA or had the technology to. I do think people fake reaction i see all the time but i keep it honest and to me that makes the best reaction. you knew about this group at 9 years old and i was watching cartoon at 9 lol. when i was in my 20's i'd hear jokes about them so people in my world never listen or talked about Bee Gees so i had no idea who they were. I am so glad this my first song tho i love it... I can ask you if you know a artist from my country and people in USA or you wouldn't know because it's not in your radar you know but that artist is big in Africa and other country's.

Agree with you, only issue I have is that you wrote it like they're an American group, they are British musicians and started their band in Australia, I think Barry the oldest brother was 12 and the other 2 were 9 when they moved to Australia, not sure if that makes them a British or Australian band, but definitely wouldn't be American.@@CVTECK1

My husband and I used to Roller Skate to this song and do the couples only and he used to sing this to me...
We dated in High School in Anchorage,Alaska. I was 15 and he was 16 at the time...
We lost contact for over 32 years and found each other in 2015 and we got married 10 days after I made it back with him...

The Bee Gees had a younger brother (12 years younger then Barry, the oldest brother) Andy. His career started several years after them, but they were TOTALLY supportive of him. Often sang backup for him. He was supposed to join his brothers, but sadly 😢 died too young, from heart complications (due to drug abuse/addictions) before he could. But you can also check him out as well.

As you travel down this rabbit hole you'll discover that their voices are not always in the falsetto range. The primary falsetto "era" for them was in the late 70s to early 80s
A good example of Barry Gibb's regular singing voice would be the 1980 song "Guilty"...a duet he did with Barbra Streisand or "Words" from 1968. Their catalog is vast enough to keep you busy reacting for years.

Barry Gibb's natural singing voice is baritone. They switched to falsetto in the late 70's at the start of the disco craze. Barry is the only surviving member of the Bee Gees. The band Chicago played the horns in this video. I'm a 64-year-old Navy vet who grew up listening to the Bee Gees. No one will ever equal their songwriting and singing abilities.

The funny thing is that they sang together in harmony for 20 years before they discovered how great their voices would sound together in falsetto. They were a really big deal as singers and songwriters, especially in the 70’s but turned out great music in every decade from the 50’s until the early 2000’s. Chances are you’ve heard many of their songs and didn’t know it was them. They even went through a post disco period in the 1980’s when radio stations refused to play their music so they spent more time writing hit songs for other well know artists. Check out more of their stuff!

This performance by the Bee Gees was a children’s charity event for UNICEF they donated the proceeds to UNICEF, the Bee Gees three brothers from the Ise Of Man of the coast of the United Kingdom, later the family moved to the Manchester in Britain, as children the family emigrated to Australia at the cost of £10,after some success as child performers when the became teenagers they decided to return to the United Kingdom as the music scene was exploding with many new bands and artists evolving, including The Rolling Stones and The Beatles, The Animals and many more, moving to the United Kingdom was wise move as the Bee Gees had their first No1 hit in 1967 the song was ( The New York Mining Disaster),Bee gees always first and foremost considered themselves songwriters before being singers, although they were phenomenal vocalist, they have written many songs for famous artists including, Barbara Streisand, Celine Dione , Jimmy Ruffin , Dionne Warwick, Kenny Rodger’s and Dolly Parton ,Frankie Valli, and to many more to mention, they also wrote for films, Grease and Saturday Night Fever, both films starring John Travolta, Elvis covered a Bee Gees song called Words. And they had 6 consecutive No1 hits in a row in the 1970s , they have a huge catalog of amazing songs and live performances, and have sold over 250 million records worldwide over 6 decades, great reaction thanks!

I love seeing the younger generation listen to this music. I remember when this was on the radio, daily. The BeeGees are amazing. The lead singer, (although they claim there is no “lead” singer) is Barry Gibb. And the other 2 are fraternal twins, Robin on the left and Maurice (pronounced Morris) is on the right. They wrote over 1,100 songs and have also written and performed with countless other artists. Unfortunately, Robin and Maurice Gibb, have since passed. They also have a younger brother, Andy, that was too young to be in the group, but, had his own successful singing career, unfortunately, he has also passed at the young age of 30.

They were amazing. No gimmicks , no messing with the sound just pure talent. The documentary about them shows how they never got to be showy or thinking they were better than other's. Down to earth and fantastic. When I see these reactions to songs that I grew up listening to. I actually feel sorry for the generation of people who have not experienced good singing music. I feel sorry for the " not going out to meet with people who are strangers you talk to on a good night out. Then there is no way to contact them. Hoping that when you go to the club next weekend, that person will be there and still wants to talk to you. The BEE GEES come on in the slow set. You dance close to the person and enjoy the closeness and the scent of their after shave lotion and the beat of the music. As the night ends, you may make arrangements to meet up during the week to go for a drink together and get to know the person. This all goes well. You go on with your life. Then one day you watch a reaction video of the Bee Gees and call your husband in to look at the videos. 42 years after we met. 3 daughters and 8 grandchildren later. We can still dance close and feel the beat of the music.
Some many young people don't know how to communicate with actual people face to face in a social setting. Sadly they will have hundreds of " friends" on social media. But how many actual friends have they got.?. Technology is a blessing, but it is also a curse. There is so much to look at and listen to that the day is over before you know it. But you have no contact with people in the real world.
    With ❤from Ireland 🇮🇪

The one in the middle is the oldest brother and the only one still alive. The other 2 were twins. They wrote somewhere around 1000 songs in multiple genres and for multiple artists, many of them huge hits. All the procedes from this song were donated to UNICEF, the UN children's fund. It has amounted to millions of dollars. They started singing harmonies together at 9 and 6 years old and writing songs before they were teens. They did not stop until the younger brother with the beard (Maurice pronounced Morris) died suddenly. They were amazingly talented singer/songwriters who took a lot of flack because they wrote songs during the disco era that became so popular that they overwhelmed a lot of other music.

They used to not sound that way. Barry singing the highest note, didn’t sing like he did before the 70’s. Then he tried the higher pitch and it was singing that way from now on. Even though he will sing in his original vocals. One of the TOP GROUPS!

🇨🇦 Listen again carefully, and notice that even though Barry seems higher pitched when he leads, that his Brothers can join in at the same level ! On a dance floor, when they played this song, ALL the women would be looking for someone to dance with !
Do not underestimate the Bee Gees, they wrote Hundreds of songs !
My personal favourite is "You should be dancing" 🇨🇦

Too Much Heaven is nine layers of 3-part harmony, essentially creating 27 voices. Barry seems higher pitched as he's the only one singing falsetto plus his natural & lead voice. So he's singing 6 layers by himself (or 18 voices).....on top of the 3 layers all three brothers are singing together.

The BGs are prolific singers and song writers--they were known for their falsettos. They wrote songs that were hits for their own group as well as songs for singers and different groups of different genres of music. They were the bomb for several decades--and this is coming from a 74 years old black woman. Please find more of their music its so much out there for you.

Also please can you react to Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton singing Islands In The Stream live, it is absolutely one of their best songs, completely brilliant. Keep the reactions coming. From the UK and looking forward to the next video. 😊❤

As far as the voices and talent, PURE God Given Gift to them for us. Nothing like a bit of Heaven here on Earth for the short time we're here. These men (brothers), were born for this and I've heard them say time and time again that they loved what they were doing all their lives long. They were a gift for us because people need this when as we walk out this life.

I've been listening to the Bee Gees since the 1960s. They were one of the most influential groups through 4 decades. Barry is still performing making it 5 decades of music! He is an amazing songwriter. Many, many big names have sung his songs.

Everyone focuses on Barry's masterful falsetto (which IS gorgeous, as he is) but listen how Robin and Maurice (pronounced Morris) carry the main body of the song by themselves, perfect and on pitch every single verse! Their brotherly harmonies are perfection and heavenly. I can't say I love them enough. Please listen to some of their earlier 60's songs. How Do You Mend a Broken Heart, I've Got to Get a Message to You, Words, To Love Somebody, New York Mining Disaster (1941), Massachusetts, I Started a Joke, Run to Me.....too many others but that's a fantastic start! Did you know they had albums in FIVE different decades?? 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's?? They have sold over over 200million albums worldwide, ranked 5th among all artists ever?? They are members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Barry has written over 1000 recorded songs! Many recorded by other artists. I could go on and on. Needless to say, I LOVE THE BEE GEES

If you notice the brothers together Sound just like the lead singer barry gibb because there's times where barry gibb is actually doing backup vocals but the two brothers are singing the main chorus. Truly a god-given talent. A lot of babies were made because of this song

They wrote all their own songs. This song was their contribution to music for Unicef, they along with their manager helped get other artists to join in. They donated all proceeds. You should listen to Love you inside out, Spirits having flown, Jive Talking and Fanny be tender with my love (Quincy Jones said one of his favoriteR&B songs)❤❤
