    You should do more Mix-U stuff! Mic placement on drums would be cool. As would gating and then other mix stuff like guitars.

    I would LOVE to hear your advice on cymbal bleed in vocal mics. I know a shield would certainly help...but it disconnects the drummer from the rest of the band. I've been mixing live performances, and I almost always have to overdub the vocal because of the cymbals. They're so loud..and noise gates don't seem to help much.

      Absolutely! So I do really like a good shield... key word being "good" haha. There are lots of bad ones out there that do cause disconnection. I also really like the waves Primary Source Expander plugin to help with this as well.
