Didn’t think it was going to take long before chassis 1 wasn’t going to cut it. Man of many talents. Your going to get a drive through for working on the car without a stand under it. 😂🤣 Love ya work. 👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃
Nothing but applause....when you added the WRAP, that was it ahhaah...magic!...Looks fantastic, now you have something to SIM in with Scotty Mac and Gizza. Absoltely well done man!
I'm impressed, the skill the dedication and detail to your work great pride it's great to have you sharing that you just don't drive thank you for sharing Rick ☺☺☺.
Thanks Rick, another great video. Building a sim rig is great fun and you can always add or improve parts. Unlike real racing, sim racing should be more about fun, I'm enjoying it already for over 24 years :-) Greetings from Germany.
Good work Rick. Great to see young son giving you a hand. Looks like you have got an up and coming racer to pass on the baton to once you have retired.
Good to see the bloody camping chair finally got the flick ! Its a great looking rig , the only thing I'd personally change is the position of the screens. Ideal setup on any rig is to have the centre screen just behind the steering wheel , this gives the best field of view and immersion regardless of single or triple screens. Sacrifice the plywood A pillars and move them in ! :D
Bruh, you that CASTROL RIG IS SIC!! I've been looking online as I'm currently looking to buy one for myself & my kids!! (If they're lucky) if I seen this for sale I would buy it for sure..
Great rig. Not quite sure why the screens are so far away though. It's always going to break immersion if the dash of your car looks like it is 2m away. The FOV looks like it needs some work as well. Awesome build though and I bet your son absolutely loves it!
Rick , youre the man . What an awesome build !!!. Plus anything Castrol i'm into (huge Arron Slight fan) . In comparison my sim rig is being built to "homebuilt by jeff" specs . At least another Aussie tho . Once the racing starts again you may want to offload that puppy , how much $$ :))) ?.
Get the monitors/tv as close as possible to the wheel Rick. Just behind it. And also on a 60 degree angle to maxmise your field of view. Other than that, brilliant work!
I think Mick Doohan is going to build a sim for the next celebrity race that looks like. Cessna plane as he spent more time in the air than he did on the track ! 😂 I reckon chassis #3 will be where you tear the windscreen out of your real race car and silastic those LG screens in there 😁
Simple solution....VR. That was a lot of work! Just think when you get bored of it you can gut it, throw in a mattress and you'll have a cool race car bed for your son...lol.
Hey Rick are you able to post the measurements so we can setup our sim rigs to somewhat the same as a real supercar? Like steering wheel angle and shifter angle and placement. Thanks
Mate safety first wheres your glasses buddy just one bit of the lazer touching your eye, might not do anything for that split second but during your life time you don't know what damage that light did to your eye?
You'd be the ethical racecar driver who funded everything out of your own pocket and refused to endorse someone elses product in return for financial assistance to enable you to keep doing what you love, right?
Matt C These guys get paid millions and their fuck'n around in their sheds with bits of wood try'n to make a simulator............. Their car brand/factory should have got behind them and supplied the ducks nuts of simulators to promote their drivers during the e series ? I love that the Kelly boys keep us up to date with tricks, I wish em luck.
something a sim racing setup can never do is give the feeling of a car under you thats why the likes of Lowndes suck at sim ricing because he drives by the seat of his pants just like rick
Not sure if you answer comments but do you think you will use this for training when the normal race season commences? Just curious. Do you think it has a place in your supercar life or do you think it would be a good tool for a junior racer or is it too different the real thing? Thanks
I think Rick is having more fun building than actual racing...still makes for great entertainment.
Didn’t think it was going to take long before chassis 1 wasn’t going to cut it. Man of many talents. Your going to get a drive through for working on the car without a stand under it. 😂🤣
Love ya work. 👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃
The great thing about all this time off is u feel like ur so much more involved with certain teams. Definitely has opened up the fan base imo
I love how Rick works together with his son!
Great to see how someone was really new to all of this, has grown to enjoy it and put a bit of time into it
Good job rick i'm sure everyone who gets a go in your ford mustang V8 sims will think its so cool & enjoy it enormously
Nothing but applause....when you added the WRAP, that was it ahhaah...magic!...Looks fantastic, now you have something to SIM in with Scotty Mac and Gizza. Absoltely well done man!

Yeah he goes, "didn't get much sleep last night", but I am going to polish these welds that no one will see and add a wing haha. Great stuff though.
Rick i think the young fella is gonna be a future supercar star....
Is that what you call a rolling chassis? Seriously though Rick, great craftsmanship but how exactly do you get into it?
Could this be the topic of the next video? Please? I'm dying to know myself.
Nice work Rick, looks the goods, no excuses for not being up the front now!
Think I used to have a bed that looked similar to that.
Bloody hell, that's brilliant. Well done Rick. Hope it makes the difference for ya

Good work Rick. Great to see young son giving you a hand. Looks like you have got an up and coming racer to pass on the baton to once you have retired.
What an amazing build. Rick is so talented. Surely be selling these now as a new sideline.
☺️

@Ade Matthews Yeah I'm aware of that , thing is , what's the point in having 3 massive screens (10k$ at that ! ) to achieve maybe a 90° fov ?
That is an impressive rig. It is great that you have built your own instead of just going out and buying one.
Bloody awesome work mate and has been great watching through the e series bring on the real racing soon
Ohhhh mate this is friggen awesome! What a set up!!!
Epic craftsmanship.
Great work RK, looks awesome buddy 👍
Is there anything Rick can't do? A man of many talents. Need to up my game haha
Seeing this evolv has been much more interesting than Chaz Mosterts mullet
That’s a great build Rick, well done, you have lots of multi skills 👌👍😎
Epic build. Fingers crossed for the extra pace.
Mate that is fantastic! Great to see you actually building this stuff. So much respect - wish I knew how to do that kind of thing.
How have 5 people disliked this ? How is that even possible? What is there to dislike please tell me ?, great job Rickey !
Great job Rick 👍
Not just a talented race drive he's a craftsman as well.
Ive just built myself a new simrig and then i see this.
Well looks like im gonna build another one now loved how it turned out thats a grate idea
That dim looks so wicked Rick. It looks awesome wish I had it haha.
Bruh, you that CASTROL RIG IS SIC!! I've been looking online as I'm currently looking to buy one for myself & my kids!! (If they're lucky) if I seen this for sale I would buy it for sure..
Great work Rick.
Rick Great videoclip thanks- love your fabrication skills -
looks awesome, used your 1st one for inspiration just couldnt afford the new screens
Such a perfectionist. Looks awesome
love it another awesome upload rick keep them coming. Oh and bloody nice job on chassis 2
OK I think kelly is the most popular and legendary driver. He is fantastic 👌👌👌👏👏👏😎😎😎🌟🌟🌟
Can you post a video of how to get in/out of that thing? :D
Great rig. Not quite sure why the screens are so far away though. It's always going to break immersion if the dash of your car looks like it is 2m away. The FOV looks like it needs some work as well. Awesome build though and I bet your son absolutely loves it!

new drinking game... every time he says " beautiful lg screens" chug a jayger
bomb
Rick, I didnt realize you were a "Lefty", just like me :-))....Great job Bro, stay safe !
Top job mate.
Brilliant. Love it.
I'm just looking at that cr250 in the background 😍
Get the monitors/tv as close as possible to the wheel Rick. Just behind it. And also on a 60 degree angle to maxmise your field of view. Other than that, brilliant work!
Absolutely brilliant work. What happens to it when the eseries is over?
intersepter100 probably use it as practice, like most do with their normal sim
That is so sick. love it
Holy Crap! Damn impressive!!
Damm, I need a shed like that
Me too.. I'd make mine a little longer with a extra roller door extension.. Then perfect
I love to build my own sim like that. 🎮
I think Mick Doohan is going to build a sim for the next celebrity race that looks like. Cessna plane as he spent more time in the air than he did on the track ! 😂
I reckon chassis #3 will be where you tear the windscreen out of your real race car and silastic those LG screens in there 😁
Mad welding skills!
That’s a better setup. Well done
That's sick man. Can I buy it once you finished with it
Awesome DIY mate 👍 You could sell the build design online. Super Car Sim Rig
Simple solution....VR. That was a lot of work! Just think when you get bored of it you can gut it, throw in a mattress and you'll have a cool race car bed for your son...lol.
Absolute legend
Looks fun. Fix that FOV though lol. Maybe multiscreen angle degrees too
Mate that is so cool
Hey Rick are you able to post the measurements so we can setup our sim rigs to somewhat the same as a real supercar? Like steering wheel angle and shifter angle and placement. Thanks
I don't see Lewis Hamilton doing this,...respect!
Gwenndolynn
Lewis doesnt need a sim hes got Mercedes and a F1 car if he does he can afford the $50000 Sim set up
next level
Oh he is a cacky handed, me to Rick
fucking brilliant! i love it!
Should of used VR Rick save you a lot of time, and they are bloody amazing to use
I’m a fan 😍
Should build my own video game pod like this but different design.
Love it.
Respect !
Love it :)
Looks fantastic. But I feel that the triple screen little too far.
There's a good little side-earn there Rick if you started mass producing them...
gota love Bunnings
His kid plays with a direct drive wheel and I'm still on my G27 :(
Rick has one of the worse cases I've seen of simracing Gear Acquisition Syndrome. Chassis 002 is ridiculous and I love it.
Use a field of view calculator, plenty available online, so you can set your screens at the correct distance away from you. It helps a lot
Do a bit of FOV homework Ricksta. Think your immersion/feel will improve even more... get the B pillars on the screens same as in ya pony.
Please post more
Just plug the mustang into the pc and snag a vr helmet xD
SO, in a long while, when you give up driving, you're going to become a UA-cam craftsperson? "Kely racing Builds".......
If the shit on a sheep's tale don't fall it Must ang
I would laugh if someone used a real Mustang or commodore for there sim
This is deluxe
A few measurements from the real car aka obtain the 3D model straight of autodesk lol
You big child
Mate safety first wheres your glasses buddy just one bit of the lazer touching your eye, might not do anything for that split second but during your life time you don't know what damage that light did to your eye?
Product placement much ??
Cash for comment...........

The fov is off imo
a few unnecessary items on it .. lol ... isnt that why we do the things we do, if it didnt have unnecessary items on it there would be no fun in it.
come on guys- why do poople put bad music in the videos? honestly- here to check out whats going on, not to listen to your music man. come on
