It's hard to stop asking for more when the stuff they do is so good and diferent from the rest...
there's a bug in cry of fear where the note at the start of the game the 54 one wont let you exit the note
The whole Spike and Barley thing reminds me of early yogscast, with shadow of israphel. I have probably the biggest youtube nostalgia for that series, and it's pretty much the same thing, 2 guys play a game and then it comes alive and fucks with them.

I remember i tried playing Afraid of Monsters (Director's cut) back in the day and after i turned the lightswitch off in the hospital, i was too scared to play it anymore.
Oh yes, i was happy i managed to discover spike and barley playing back in 2011 after looking for some gameplay videos from svencoop. Easily my favorite youtube gaming duos to date :3 !! Loved their sven coop and doom playthroughs !

I've been meaning to say this for the past few videos, but it always slipped my mind: you've really stepped up your game. Not just in terms of content output, but just overall ratio of good game analysis with out pretensions and your brand of humor&editing.
This game seems really inspired by Silent Hill judging by how it starts, with some Max Payne thrown in as well.

I came across okami for the wii after watching a lets play of it, and now I am playing it, and loving the heck out of that game.
Bro, as soon I saw the title of this video, I was gonna mention the Spike and Barley, it's soooo awesome knowing you're a fan too, still my favorite lets players on UA-cam
Kinda interesting coming back to this video in 2019 as Nintendo did away with their old UA-cam restrictions on lets plays around the end of 2018, so that bit in the video kinda makes this an unintentional time capsule.

Those twisted spider things are actually remodelled Alien Slaves, and the giant faces are just invisible Alien Grunts with their muzzle flash retextured as a face.

5:26 Funny you say that, because there actually *was* an ichthyosaur in the water in the 2005 version of AoM, probably removed because it didn’t fit with the games theme very well in the DC version.

There were ichthyosaurs in the sewers in the original AoM so you had every right to be freaked out by the sewer though they (thankfully) didn't show up in DC.
The distorted Abominations are just extremely fucked up Vortigaunts, changed up from the original AoM Vortigaunt reskins with insta-kill melee attacks.
The most brilliant is the Bleeding Specters because of the fact they're simply invisible agrunts with the Hive Hand muzzle flash replaced by the giant face and the crunching stinging noise replaced by child laughter.

I played through CoF a couple of times and I still really like it, but I could never get AoM to work.
But I have a new PC now anyways, maybe I can get it to run now.

Hexen does have a backtracking problem, but everything else is so awesome I don't care (especially with the Wrath of Cronos mod installed)

Oh god, I have such a huge nostalgia boner for AoM and CoF, hell I even made a map for the halloween collab that they organized. So many memories from my time on the forums (even though I was an annoying little shit lol).
