Every time I find a cool watch nobody seems to be talking about I always think "I wish Teddy would talk about this". And lo and behold. Very cool sir.👍
This combo of hair, glasses, and jacket has you looking like Kim Jong-un.
Bite your tongue sir😂
Oh, no. I cannot unsee it now. 😂
Lol
🤣
Perhaps you'd like to get a room with him ?
Great timing! I was literally looking at this watch last night. I saw this video pop up and just assumed the UA-cam algorithm was suggesting an old video. To my surprise it was a new one! You always seem to have a sixth sense on the watches I’m interested in 😅 great video as always!
love the look of this piece with the integrated bracelet and the sharp bezels. dial is damn gorgeous too
Teddy, bring back the watch collector's anthem . It will go viral Teddy.
This makes a lot of sense. In this size & price point, options are few. The smaller PRX is quartz. The BRO5 is priced higher, and larger like the Aikon. I couldn't agree more with the notion this gives you an understated wear, similar to a Datejust, but more visual interest than a field watch, Murph, Explorer homage, SARB, etc. Some people will find those usual suspects for everyday wear a little boring, not dressy enough, etc. If you think it's too small, you are not hurting for choices on integrated bracelets. If you think the whole category is a stylistic rip-off, then start saving for a PP or AP or VC. To me, the movement is only a minor trade-off and not inappropriate at this price and finishing. I mean... quick-release bracelet? Pretty cool...
Always glad to see a small watch featured, Mr. Teddy!
The inverted VI = 18 in Arabic.
I wonder if it was by design or just a coincidence. Maybe Teddy can ask the design team! :D
I do like this watch, especially on the rubber strap.
I've always liked the teal variant, and actually the bluntness of the grey.
I purchased one and cant wait to put it on =) . Thank you for featuring the watch on your channel . I remember reaching out a few months ago and requesting you to do a review . Cheers
@tomasz5274
Can you please tell how it holds with time?
Is it more prone to scratches than other watches?
Any more positives or negatives surfaced with time?
Many thanks!
So nice! I love this brand!!
The rose gold 10661 is beautiful. Hope to purchase the 10661 model within the next year or so.
It’s a Beautiful watch, I like Riviera’s Dive watches, down here in FL the summertime rains are torrential so you gotta have good strong water resistance, don’t know if 50 meters is good enough. Thanks for the review.
This looks surprisingly small on a 6.5 inch wrist, even if the wingspan is fairly long. Even though the Sellita movement is top grade, and the bracelet is solid, the lack of water resistance is a bit disappointing. I'll probably wait until they do an automatic 35mm PRX to get my compact integrated bracelet fix.
Tried this on yesterday and really liked it but I already got a similarly cased Maen Manhattan.
Beatifull Watch!
One of the best-finished and most underrated watches from one of the oldest and most underrated Swiss watchmakers. Great video.
They will surely gain market share they seem like a sleeping giant brand
@Keith W I think you could be right, especially if more a formal style comes back in fashion. The Clifton dollar for dollar may be the best day to day office dress watch there is.
Totally agree, I only bought the Clifton last week, great watch
@@keefw361 congratulations! Which one did you get?
@@rickyromano6659 thanks Ricky got the Clifton Baumatic COSC green dial.
just another genta-like watch
Surprisingly this was one of the first watches that got me into the watch world in the beginning!
Only later did I realise I was the only one looking at this watch haha. I would say it leans more into the Chopard Alpine Eagle route than the Royal Oak but still a great watch nonetheless.
Agreed so much like the chopard alpine eagle route
What would u say r your favorite watches now
Stunner no doubt BUT ! A 39mm option with female end links & I would’ve been sold !
Would have been perfect if they had the baumatic 5 day power reserve movement in it
Hello Teddy! Great job as always! But you seem to have out that the watch is 50m instead of 100m WR.
Its hard to look in to this watches when PRX is just around the corner and checking almost every box there is. It feels like the choice is PRX or go all the way to Royal Oak / Nautilus which is quite a stretch. Those in between is kinda hard to justify and that is a testament to what PRX offers in terms of design and value.
Sorry it's a bit off topic - but, with Valentine's Day coming up, why don't you do a feature on watches that haven't got a date?
Can you do a report on the Dievas MAYA MK 1,2 & 3? Liking your channel!:)
So glad you made this! I literally went to hong kong and tried all the watches you talked about, longines, grand seiko, tag, maurice, ball, frederique... And so on. But this baume and marcier was my absolute favorite among all of them. The only problem was that the 42mm version was too big. And the 36 is too small. Was hoping for a 38-40 version.
try 10746 and 10720 both are 39mm
You should do a review on the tissot le locle open heart
Good looking watch, but too pricey for a SW200 movement.
Perhaps take a look into version with Baumatic movement - not sure there is 36mm
I don't know if its the lighting or a filter or maybe just my screen or the watch itself but the watch looks like titanium. Even on 4K. Its kind of hard to distinguish between brushed or polished surfaces in some places.
anyone know if they are going to release an automatic of the light blue.
I don't know man, mixed feelings with this watch. While I appreciate the dial, but the oakish case and the size?
Funny that Richemont would release this watch and then later release IWC Ingenieur even though the B&M destroys it for cost
I have a Longines Oposition. Commercially i think it was a flop, but it seems more and more ahead of its time.
Is there a GMT version in 2023?
i have the 42 mm.....its fun to wear, light and handsome
Thanks for sharing your experience.
Can you please tell how it holds with time?
Is it more prone to scratches than other watches?
Any more positives or negatives surfaced with time?

Does anyone know how how this wears? In comparison to other watches? I prefer smaller watches and the bb54 is about my sweet point
Can't believe Baum & Mercier ripped off the CasiOak 😂
Why is the six upside down
It seems like 36mm are becoming very popular nowdays
They do this in a 36 and 42 while 39 would have been perfect!
Bought one! But I got the bigger one, felt the 36mm is too small even for my 6.5" wrist. B&M labels the 36mm as the ladies watches too and imo rightfully so.
This or the Frederique Constant highlife is what I've been asking myself for a while now. What are peoples thoughts ?
I bought ghe FC Highlife last year, it will stay in my collection most certainly. Its thin, its well made, and looks amazing. I loved this watch too and bought a 42mm at a bargain price. It will be delivered soon. So, Im that guy who wants to have both watches
no way, i bought a riviera literally just a week ago, it was the chrono but still : ) looks great, havent gotten it yet tho

@@tomasz5274 i mainly have only good things to say about it, very comfortable for such a big watch, my only complaint is that its a little too big for me (the chrono is 40+mm and i have very small wrists) the polished bezel does get scratches of course just like any other watch but i dont mind and it blends right in with the work watch look of the screws. i will admit i use it mostly as a beater and i used to work blue collar job so that probably also has an impact on the fact that mine has some scratches on bezel... but i wouldnt say it scratches any more then any other watch, used to wear a my rolex submariner as my daily beater before i got this one and even with the ceramic bezel it got scratches too. hope this helps :D
@@pezaxor7920 Awesome, many thanks for sharing your experience with the watch :)
Dodecagon > Octagon
Take that AP Royal Oak!
Nice watch. Also, Teddy, why don't you do a wrist check in your videos?
Might be the same reason why he doesn't do watch collection videos of his pieces. He said he didn't want to buy watches just to show that he owns a certain watch...
so they want over 2 grand for a SW-200, I suppose they think their brand equity and heritage in the 1973 design warrants it? It does look nice, though I'm not sure it's underrated, I'll wait for tissot to bring out the powermatic 80 35mm PRX
Tissot PRX is a nice watch and the price is great but in my eyes the quality of finishing is significantly higher in reviewed Riviera (including finishing of movement), Maurice Lacroix Aikon or arguably/perhaps Christopher Ward The Twelve.
The price seems to go up with better finishing and it's up to customer to decide what he is comfortable to pay for.
For in house movement one can look into Riviera version with Baumatic movement with 5 days power reserve but it's $1k extra... (and I'm not sure if there is 36mm version)
It seems like a good watch but I really can't stand roman numerals on a dial.
Similar looking watches under $1,000?
Do the ladies version
I'm surprised it only comes with an entry level movement. Don't hand wind ANY watch featuring the Selitta SW200, it's very prone to the ratchet wheel losing teeth and damaging the movement. Despite Selitta claiming this very well known flaw has been fixed, from personal experience... it hasn't.
The watch is way too expensive for the specs.
Would have been perfect with the baumatic movement! Now that's an impressive movement
You say it's 50m of water resistance but your website says 100. Just FYI.
The Roman numeral for 6 (VI) is upside down?????? Really????
The camera flips it
I'd probably go easier on the lighting. I saw the video in which your photographer explains how you fill in shadows so I'm guessing that's whats happening but all the pieces look extremely unnatural in your videos. I love what you have to say so I end up watching your videos to get your take on a piece but then I have to watch other reviews to understand what it actually looks like. Just some constructive feedback - overall I love your videos!
Over priced for SW200 and personally at 36mm to small. With the larger Bezel It makes the dial look even smaller. What should be included in measurements for watches is the actual ID of the Bezel so people have an idea of how visible the dial will actually be.
IMHO they should have made it in a 38.
I tried this on and it is way too small..also the movement is not worth the money

I like the looks (yeah Royal Oak), BUT, $2,750 for a basic Sellita SW200? No thanks, that's way to high. This makes the overpriced Rado Golden Horse with its basic ETA 2824 look like a deal.
roman numerals ruin it for me
Please at least attempt a correct pronunciation if you’re going to highlight a legendary 1830 brand. Your work is top notch overall so please accept this as constructive feedback
Appears to be an rather egregious knock-off of a Chopard Alpine Eagle.
No baumatic, no business.
Total agree would have been perfect with baumatic movement
Completely overpriced. Bulova quality is not great. Forget about it
Too many watch companies cater to little guys too much. 36mm??
He literally says in the 1st minute that there’s a larger version
