We appreciate your business!
I had my AD order this for me and have owned it now for about 4 weeks. I can honestly say that in a watch collection of about 20, I have looked to wear it at some point during the day at least every other day and it just keeps getting better and better. Accuracy is incredible as well as it’s currently my most accurate watch. I am talking about 0 to +.5 sec per day. Insane.
Thats great to hear from an owner. Thank you for sharing!
This watch has hooked me out of nowhere and I’ll be picking one up.
Baum and Mercier are insane ! Historical, in house movement. Extremely underrated
B&M is so underrated, the watch and the beans 💨
I love B&M baked beans.
Teddy thanks for the video. I came back and look at this video before going out to purchase this watch. Got one with the steel bracelet and they gave me a free rubber ones at Burchere in Lucerne. Your video made the difference in me knowing the watch and deciding to buy it instead of the first sales person who I met at another outlet . Thanks Teddy and love the watch and movement and the ease in changing the bracelet
Quick no nonsense review from Teddy, great stuff
B&M defiantly punches above its weight! Gorgeous timepiece!
This beast brand need more reconize, so damn underrated man
I can’t believe these aren’t being talked about more.
I’m buying the Hampton with the JLC calibre and I’ve gotta get one of these beauties.
B&M and Longines are the most underrated and underappeciated brands that give you more bang for your buck than any other luxury brands with both having loads of rich history and legacy backing it up.
Longines needs an integrated watch.
I only shop & collect proprietary movements. Buying ETA based movements, to me, is just buying a cosmetic skin and not particularly interesting. I want a watch maker to make a watch... not just design a dial & strap.
The Riviera is a KILLER watch with a very unique movement. Love what B&M did with it.
Longines is the 4th largest watchmaker in the world. I don’t think is underrated.
I contacted the Baume & Mercier chat support and they stated tha this model is not COSC certified, only the Clifton models are COSC
i got myself the 10720 reference (with the titanium bezel) that comes on the grey rubber band - wonderful watch! in addition i also purchased the steel braclet (39mm, as shown in the video) and it looks fantastic!
Teddy great video as always. I just traded in my Omega Seamaster 300M Professional for a Tudor BB58 as I’m focused on watches that are 40MM or smaller. I need to try this watch on and see it in the flesh.
Incredible looking watch
Yeah, the six upside down is how it would appear traditionally with a full set of Roman numeral makers. I love this design and too wonder if it would make more sense to have the six up right in this case....or would that be considered wrong? Seems less odd looking as the watch rotates....obviously-lol. Great video-thanks!
I really prefer the size and dial of the 36. Wish it had the Baumatic movement.
Recently bought the 39mm Riviera with the Titanium bezel and the rose gold indices. It comes with a grey rubber strap, which is okay, but not my fabourite. As there is a quick change mechanism, also ordered the steel bracelet as shown in the video. Am now in a position to quickly swap between strap and bracelet acoording to mood and occasion. Great watch, really accurate and the least expensive way to get the 120hrs power reserve. Same movement is also used in the IWC Mark XX or the new release of the IWC Ingenieur, but at double or even triple the price of the Riviera!
How does the steel bracket match the titanium case? I also have the titanium riv and I’m wondering if the steel ($700) bracelet is worth it
@@BobWilson84 IMHO the steel bracelet matches quite nicely, as the case of the Riviera is made of steel as well and only the bezel is titanium. $700 USD is quite expensive for the bracelet alone, but as it has the proprietary quick exchange mechanism, there is no real alternative. Managed to buy the watch with both the rubber strap and the steel bracelet with a discount. So it was a real no brainer for me.
Looks great. You don't say the size of the wrist at 2:32? I don't like integrated bracelet watches in general but if I was to get one, this would probably be at the top of the list.
Cool watch I did not know existed. Thanks Teddy, I learn a lot from (and enjoy) your videos. 👍
Thanks for watching!
Love this WATCH!!!
I could never understand why Baum et Mercier has never been on the radar of watch collectors or horology enthusiasts. I have always rated them. I feel the same about Ebel who also offer decent quality at a decent price level. With the crazy inflation of pricing for 'the big' watch brands like, Audemars Piguet, Rolex, Patek Phillipe, Vacheron Constantin, Paneri, even Omega and Tudor are rapidly hiking their prices up. This is making more value oriented brands like Baume et Mercier, Longines, Ebel and Oris seem like a much better bang for your buck alternative.
Because people are stupid and request gratification from others to justify a purchase. No one will compliment you on a B&M, but most will for a Rolex. Love B&M 👌🏽.
@darrenaquilina1403 true but although not compliment I have had a few people ask what it was when wearing the Baum er Mercier and also my Mr Jones watches but it shows how ignorant some people can be because I then have to explain who they are. In the case of micro brands like Mr Jones that is understandable but with brands like B&M and Ebel it's unforgivable, I understand that Ebel being now part of Movado group who are another Swiss brand that generates a lot of hate, is probable one reason for the disdain, however they still produce excellent quality watches at a decent price point.
Historically Ebel got screwed out of sales. Ebel has an awesome history.
@@darrenaquilina1403lots of people desperately crave the attention and validation they think they’ll get from a Rolex.
Wish they released a 39mm version with Baumatic movement that had a champagne dial 😢
Bought Baume & Mercier Riviera 39 the Titanium bezel version 2 months ago. Haven't taken it off my wrist since. Currently working on a YT video review. Absolutely love it! And I own Rolex and Omega.
Looking forward to that review of yours mate 🙌🏽
@@ishtiaqahmed-iw4ww Thanks mate. Stay tuned. I'll be releasing a promo for it next week!
Bought mine from Teddy Baldassarre. Great looking watch!
Good choice! Thank you for your support!
i prefer in blue and 42, please could you compare 39 and 42 in a new video?
10616 owner. They're amazing. The inverted VI is a B&M design move borrowed from Classima lines. The movement is not COSC outside the Cliftons labeled (extensively) as such. Helluva lot of watch for the money. Same movement and antimagnetism as the new IWC Ingenieur in a better looking package for 1/3 the price. ❤
This dont have a soft iron cage? So then the AM properties can't be the same
@@Bredes1 Actually, it does (it's a soft iron surround). And they are. Val Fleurier developed the entire thing with a silicon hairspring as well as the synthetic escapement, but Swatch Group got limiting rights to silicon hairsprings and so they had to use the soft iron surround to offset not being able to use it in the final production. ✌
I really want one of these but can't decide between blue and black.
I'm generally not a fan of integrated bracelet watches, but this looks nice. Pricing?
Near top of my list
Great watch...however hate how there is no minute track. 🤔
So why is that VI Roman numeral inverted? I'm sure they must have a reason.
Gotta be my wishlist, I got my Classima and love it so much.
The quality is outstanding.
BM must be so underrated
Couldn't agree more!
@@TeddyBaldassarreReviews Thank You for replying.
BTW, could you please share your opinion on the Tag Heuer - Carrera Skeleton? I really hesitate to take quite a big step but very be interested in at the same time!
I would love to see a video about the Baume et Mercier Hampton.
Stay tuned!
I have the 42 and it’s great. The 39 would be even better. The Riviera is getting more wrist time than my Rolexes and Omegas.
So B&M finally introduced the size they should have started with?
good review but you should show the lume if possible. i'm looking a the new clifton moonphase which doesn't have lume (i mean i'm leaning more towards dress than sports so it's not exactly a game changer per se) but just to see how powerful the lume actually is would've been helpful.
Hey I love it and I want one
Is it possible to get a discount on these?
Is it me or are brands combating on releasing affordable integrated watches this year?
It's hard for me to decide between this one and Maurice Lacroix Aikon 39 mm. I love both designs a lot but B&M compared to ML, but $1000 more expensive, I don't know.
Great specs for the price but need to work on the case and dial design
would be a dream beater for me, the integrated design is just on part.
The "Baumatic" between the 4 and 5 index imbalances the dial IMO - it should be put under the Riviera text the way Swatch group does it with "Powermatic" or "Co-Axial". Also the way the B&M logo is put on the butterfly clasp makes it look like the Zodiac logo.
I also thought it looked like a Zodiac logo.
I disagree. Baumatic is barely noticeable when you wear the watch, but it also gives some unique visual cues to an area you wouldn’t normally look. Also, moving it off the center of the dial allows you to view more of the movement unobstructed, which is cleaner in my opinion.
I think I like the version where the date is in that location more, i.e. 10701. I like the cleaner look of the dial but for whatever reason it doesn't come with the bracelet only the strap.
Sad thing is the Rivera and new iwc ingenieur are both owned by richemont and the iwc is trying to price itself as a premium watch even though it is really the same as this Rivera.
iwc is in no way the same as BM. Internet misinformation is rampant don't believe everything you read
39 vs 42??? can’t decide help pls wrist size 16,5
Is this the same movement in the iwc mark 20 and Ingenier?
Yes, it is.
Yes, for a fraction of the price.
Very underrated. This is finished nicer than a Tudor… Rolex/Omega level of watchmaking here.
It really isn't.
While I think it’s very well finished, I don’t think it’s as good as an Omega. I’ve had both in my hands and that’s what I think.
@@Rodolfoguerra12 me too, and i have one and a DJ41… and un my opinion the finish is on par.
This watch looks Fruity !
The finishing is very nice for the price, but what it really does is no longer makes me want to spend more money on a higher priced luxury sports watch, like a Chopard Alpine Eagle, or Zenith Defy, or IWC Ingeneuer etc. This ticks all the boxes at a superb price.
Very nice looking watch but man, the blue dial with the bracelet would have been nice, that said I am not a buyer but just something I notice that blue dials sometimes get stuck with blue leather. Hate on it if you want but went through this with the Bulova Curv, hat to get a different style than preferred because of the blue leather.
The cool thing with this model is that it is offered in a bundle that includes the bracelet and the blue rubber. Something we also which more brands would do.
@@TeddyBaldassarreReviews oh man, no idea, that's excellent. I will keep this in the back of my mind as I do like how this watch and bracelet look.
Baume & Mercier it's not underappreciated in my country, infact it is the opposite. Beautiful watch!
And what country is that?
Don't leave us hanging. Where u from?

What bothers me much about this watch is the minute hand jumps backward when the crown is pulling to the 2nd position, I don't know if that's just me but this is pretty annoying 😓
Love this watch. But Roman numerals are a deal breaker for me. They're just too formal. I wish the 12 and 6 were Arabic.
Butterfly clasp laziness needs to end…
How ist it with the non-screwed crown. 42 is to big so I have to take 39. But I’m often swimming in the sea and playing there with my child. So I’m afraid that the crown can be accidentally pulled. And then? How is the water resistance with pulled crown? Or is it impossible that the crown can be accidentally pulled? I want a real everyday watch for quite all circumstances.
Can’t wait to buy this used at discount in a few years 😂
Just an fyi this model is not COSC.
Ill be honest, i dont really like it.
Looks like a half-assed RO
