Why did you drop off in the first place ? Do the exercises you enjoy doing instead of listening to others telling you what and how to workout . That’s why you dropped off because you listened to others and didn’t enjoy it

Giving a good acceleration impulse at the start up. In a lifting manner. But being seated to secure the spine. Thanks from Russia.
simple stuff really. Barbell shoulder press followed by front, lat and rear delt raises. Simple things done really really well over a long period of time is definitely the key to success
That part about getting strong in a weak position- love it. That same muscle movement happens in my landscaping work. I could tell that was a weak point for me coming out of the winter. I trained, but just not that movement!
I need to know Mike, do you or have you had any injuries from lifting? You lift heavy and you do it consistently. I'm getting on now (46) and trained all that time but injuries have happened and do (as I get older) still constantly worry me.

I do the side laterals the same way Mike does. They are pretty tough to do that way. If you haven’t done them like that before do like Elias does and go lower weight. First time I did them was with 10s. The rock your shoulders though, I love doing them like that.
Update to my previous comment. I did not mean this as a knock down… I would also be hitting 25 lb on each side. I meant it to say how ridiculous Mike is compared to most weightlifters in the gym…

That's a LOT of weight to be pressing. As Dirty Harry said, a man's got to know his limitations. I know where mine arr at. Any time I can escape a work out with no injuries, and remain relatively pain free (not counting good muscle soreness) is a successful day at the gym.
