I randomly came across the album "Classical Current" and I discovered that one of the pieces, "The Lamp is Low", is actually the one sampled and used here, but it doesn't stop here, since I also discovered that "The Lamp is Low" itself took its melody from Ravel's "Pavane pour une infante défunte"
So, this is literally more than 100 years of music combined

Just seeing how many people talk about the song being taken down over and over again in the recent comments, am glad that people actually still recognize and keep coming back to this song although it been more than over a decade
its a real shame, i wish i could of seen the original vid with apparently over 16 million views and see the community and everyone's stories that was impacted by Nujabes music just like i was. But oh well we still got this community right here which is better than nothing.
This is super relaxing man. I don’t know why this gets me sad or emotional. This track always humbles me for no reason. This is a midnight drive song.
I feel the same. For me this song represents those special times when you get to spend time with loved ones. Often when a fun trip or visit is coming to an end this song will play in my head and I try to savor the moment but there is sadness over the impermanence of it as well.
