Her father was one of the coolest people I knew at the time, and in many ways the father I never had. I couldn't listen to this album anymore after she dumped me. She suggested I quit my service, since the middle east was a hot zone at the time. So I did, started job training in gastronomy. Aimed to become a restaurant manager or possibly opening my own place. Aruarian Dance actually samples parts of 'the lamp is low', which ITSELF samples parts of 'pavane pour une infante defunte'. I knew about Aruarian Dance before and when I first listened to pavane pour une infante defunte, I thought it was a just a coincidence that some parts sounded similar. Then later I found the part that connected it all together which was the lamp is low.

This is the only anime I would never get tired of watching back to back, the story, the scenes, the art style, the characters, the adventures, let alone the music. Everything about it is just a modern day classic it’s not even anime, it’s simply a perfect piece of art. I can watch a different anime and ya the scenes are good, but not as good as samurai or cowboy bebop or space dandy. I’m glad I gave the anime a chance and holy shit is this one my number fav anime of all time. Thank you fat Jon and RIP nujabes for the INCREDIBLE soundtrack!

What an evocative anime, that Samurai Champloo. And the soundtrack makes one nostalgic for some place, some beautiful land one hasn't ever seen, only dreamt of maybe, through some vague flashes and glimpses of a former life. Thank you Nujabes and Fat Jon, and Shinichiro Watanabe, for such a poignant and heartbreakingly beautiful series.
this show was such a characterful, unforgettable and unique journey and for a good part because of its outstanding soundtrack; found Nujabes like this, absolute legend
I found out about the anime in 2018 in a reddit post i made about recommended anime. Some guy told me about champloo and that was it. My favorite anime of all time. The music is important to me in all anime, films and stuff and obviously champloo's music got my attention. I searched for the OST and i cried. The music resonated within me so much. I am listening to the OST for about 6-7 years now. I have found out similar artists that made this kind of music besides Nujabes, Fat Jon, Tsutchie and Force Of Nature. They are Nomak, DJ Okawari, J Dilla, Soulostar, Blazo, Uyama Hiroto, Flying Lotus and Haruka Nakamura. I've been searching and craving for more still after all these years. It's never enough. I feel the flow of life and i feel like i am one with life itself with all these musics. Thank you all great composers! (Forgot to mention Shing02. He is the one who raps in Battlecry.)

I didn't know it aired back in 2004 till I was on episode 17 lol I thought it was something new and it felt new and but I should have know with how good it was and the cowboy bebop feeling it gave me.. Soundtrack was great. Which brought me here now..

I've never finished this show. Watched it as a kid but it wasn't until when I went to college that I connected with the show. I'm rewatching it again in hope that I finish it before graduation day. A conclusion to an era.
Did you finish it?
20 years after, In 2024 listening to the full album after watching Samurai Champloo and it was amazing ive never watched anime like samurai champloo because the music the story animation, just gold
finished samurai champloo a couple months ago because i got into nujabes and i wanted to watch an anime with his music in it. it was great to hear an anime that had the music i liked with the action i wanted, and now here i am every single day listenign to this on like 3 repeats per day
You love for his music is most commendable 🦋🍀
i just finished it a couple days ago but i watched it for the same reason as you, and i found both a new favourite producer and a new favourite anime lol
I just finished last night I almost cried I miss early 2000’s to 2007 anime and the old school adult swim and toonami excuse me I think I’m bout to go cry as I reflect on my youth as a kid 💔💔😢😢
Some days, some nights
Some live, some die
In the name of the samurai
Some fight, some bleed
Sun up to sundown
The sons of a battlecry
Only watched this series for the first time a few months ago and I’m so glad i found it, it’s amazing, the sound tracks are 🔥
the space between two world is like the space between 2 fingers, it can be very small if the fingers are in the same hand, or it can be any size you want, if one person is in brazil and the other in japan, it is literally the space between two world.
just finished watching this masterpiece of an anime and it took my breath away with the visuals and soundtrack, I already listened to Nujabes so I was so happy to find out he produced this soundtrack RIP but the other artists also made this so unique and every song in the whole show was a bop. The soundtrack was almost the highlight of a show where everything is amazing ugh so happy to find this show and soundtrack 10/10 goddamn I wish it was on spotify
This is what real hip hop is truly about nujabes was definitely a dope dj Rest In Peace nujabes 🙏🏾🙏🏾💔💔
hip hop can never be truly divined-tupac
Nujabes is a part of me and a part of my life. I'm glad that I knew about his music.
Rest in Peace, Legend.
This whole album is a masterpiece. I always have to keep checking every once in a while to make sure this video is still here, so thank you.
how you feel just really gets me like no other track... brings me back to when I lived in japan
best song on here for sure... at least my most favorite ig lmao
How you feel is the best fr
moreno valley says this is a classic.
Fat Jon the truth 👍🏾
for me, its aruarian dance
Here I am again. Will always vibe to my boy nujabes.
What an evocative anime, that Samurai Champloo. And the soundtrack makes one nostalgic for some place, some beautiful land one hasn't ever seen, only dreamt of maybe, through some vague flashes and glimpses of a former life. Thank you Nujabes and Fat Jon, and Shinichiro Watanabe, for such a poignant and heartbreakingly beautiful series.
yes thank them soo much
just making up words now
@@tonyonit lol
this show was such a characterful, unforgettable and unique journey and for a good part because of its outstanding soundtrack; found Nujabes like this, absolute legend
yo i've heard these songs a million times and they never get old
Battlecry was a life-changing song to a young kid who liked anime and didn't know what Hip-Hop was. Up late at night watching TV in the dark.
Missing you, Nujabes. You should still be here making great music, man.
This comment section is full of creative folks WHO GOT AN EYE FOR DETAIL AND A FINE TASTE IN MUSIC. Mad love ❤️❤️❤️
this album will be the first one I will listen to when I go to Japan ♥ magnificent! rip Nujabes-san
I definitely listend to this far over 100 times in almost 10 years
Everytime I listen to Mystline, I sense a feeling of melancholy that I only get with this song.
One of the best anime till now and even more good with this addictive songs/beats
ahh.. a nostalgic masterpiece that i can always come back to. so timeless.
Aahh! Nostalgia! This gotta be one of the best anime soundtracks ever! ❤️
2024 , still a banger song ! ❤❤
They literally pioneered Lofi back in 2004, amazing, ahead of it's time
the real father of lofi is J Dilla, not nujabes
@@sirarthur2523 But he was inspired by Nujabes and Lofi still doesn’t touch Nujabes or Fat Jon in sound or structure.
@@krow5099 And what do you think Nujabes and Fat Jon took as inspiration? Well, in jazz rap, many of those songs produced by J Dilla
@@sirarthur2523 Dilla’ the father in the US, but he couldn’t take it no where as deep as Nujabes had. As Nujabes is known in the East as Nujabes is responsible for the growth and popularity in the Lofi community bringing it to a modern day setting; which no one has fucked with Dilla since the 90s when Badu and Dangelo had there runs, please sit down with that old head BS. 😒😒😒
@@krow5099 i doubt j dilla even knew who nujabes was. they had completely different styles and dilla's style is most prominent in modern lo-fi hiphop.
Japan has so many great modern musician
Ryuichi Sakamoto, Seba Jun, Hisaishi Joe
And Perfume ★
i just bangged out a website in about 5 hours listening to this. made it seem like no time passed at all.
it's made almost 20 years ago, and the album still sounds awesome. Samurai Champloo was still lying in my best list, thanks for the upload
Still rockin here since 2004 ! For ever Nujabes! Peace !
I love Aruarian Dance by Nujabes!! It soothes your soul. This is a great album. Thank you for posting it again.
Watched when i was 11 now i am almost 26 and it's allways in my mp3
In all those years it never mattered when i switched any phone that was the first mp3 song there
It kept me alive in those nights when things took a dark way.
samurai champloo is my first anime ever watched, it holds a special place in my heart
16:41 1st Samurai brings back memories. One of the dopest tracks in the entire show.
It has a Ratchet and Clank vibe to it
Fat Jon - Wave Motion (2001) and Nujabes - Metaphorical Music (2003) are GOATed. The three of these albums together are the best of their output imo
one of the dopest anime series i've seen. I gotta say when it comes to samurai champloo, they give off a different vibe with their music soundtrack that has its own groove and style. I enjoy hearing all the hiphop references in this show. classic.
Truly an incredible series and soundtrack that has stayed with me all these years.
You know, I put this on to study since it's been a while since I've listened to this soundtrack. I remembered most of these pieces and they're obviously gorgeous, but I somehow forgot just how awesome Shiki No Uta was. Thank you for posting this entire album
This show has the best vibes. Some shows you watch to compensate for your anger, but Champloo means happy, means life
This whole album is legendary, still jamming to it
i think the fact that more of this can't be made, although sad, makes it all the more timeless.
Great music to draw fighting choreography to.
I've tried my regular playlist but you can't draw fighting scenes to regular music.
You're the real MVP brutha!
Very specific. Not drawing, drawing fighting choreography

Yea man
This stuff is medicine
I just finished the last episode just now December 13th 2022 1:26pm pacific time California.. just wanted to document it.. I just heard about this show not even a month ago. I didn't know it aired back in 2004 till I was on episode 17 lol I thought it was something new and it felt new and but I should have know with how good it was and the cowboy bebop feeling it gave me.. Soundtrack was great. Which brought me here now..
I always come back to youtube to find Nujabes' collection of music. It is just so beautiful and really transports me to a different place
This makes me wanna go rewatch samurai champloo
Aruarian dance give me a nostalgic emotion that I can't describe RIP nujabes😢💔
u a legend for that google drive download... throwing that on my Spotify downloads
The entire ost needs a Spotify release
20 years later and this still hits hard
I use to listen to this on repeat when I was 8 years old, downloaded it from eMule 😂. So cool seeing the internet bring us together to appreciate this massive talent.
Thank you for putting this under entertainment so we can have it in a separate window you absolute God king
Absolutely aggravating that this isn’t on Spotify. I’ve probably listened to this album a hundred times no joke. It doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. Also RIP Nujabes.
