I'm sorta in the same boat, I haven't hurt many people, but I said a lot of weird and grotesque things and ruined many friendships due to my stupidity a few years ago, and I wish I can just let go of my past and stop worrying about it haunting me. This scene is of thorfinn reflecting on how long it would take him to become a better, stronger person after almost losing control, hearing the real man behind his father's death. He felt regret over the fact that if he saw that man again he would rip him limb from limb. Thorfinn is strong indeed.
I genuinely think Thorfinn is one of the most impactful characters not just in manga, but in all of fiction. Just look at the amount of people influenced by a character to become a better person. I can’t think of another character who has got this many people genuinely trying to improve themselves.

Im dedicating this last half of 2023 to myself, not selfishly but mostly trying to improve myself. It starts with my emotional and mental health. It’s time to take this one day at a time. Love you guys. I’m gonna make myself the best version I possibly can. 🙏❤️ Edit 9/18/2023: So it’s been about 3 months, and let me tell you that the progress has been astounding. The one thing I’ve learned over these months is to love yourself. Also I started a journal where I write down things that I am thankful for. I have lost 30lbs as well. I am the most emotionally mature of my life. I’ve grown closer than ever to God. Still got a ways to go, but I’m feeling great!

It's honestly both wholesome and fascinating that a piece of fictional media has resonated so much and so hard with an audience that it changed a large amount of people's philosophy and ways of interacting with life in general. And on top of that it's a philosophy that promotes peace and non-violence.

I don't know. I've been working out and training myself to beat the shit out of someone that's been bullying me for years. I don't know If I have the strength to let go all of those years of hatred and anguish I've been keeping. It doesn't feel right.
It was great for me before, I learn to be positive and just enjoy everything. Everything changed when I met her, i thought she would be my only one forever until she decided to leave. I learned afterwards that she was just simply.. curious. What the fuck kind of world are we living in where it's okay to do that? She knew how much I suffered from that, i was being played, I loved her for nothing, and now she's able to live just.. for her own? I want her to suffer but I know it's not for me to decide, I know deep down I don't want any harm happening to her. It's a constant battle of wanting to be better and wanting to inflict pain and suffering. It's a cycle that i've been living through since the start of the year.

I used to be a very upset kid, because of my mothers drinking problems and often took my anger out on my brother and pretty much anyone else. It wasn’t until my brother said the words “I hate you” that I was able to step back and look at what I’ve become. At that moment I vowed to never hurt anyone again, but I’ve broken that vow many times because I can’t control my anger. I wanted to be a better person, a happier person. The first step to that was forgiving my mother, and forgiveness is much harder than I ever thought it would be. I know this road isn’t easy but it’s the road I’ve chosen and I won’t go back again.
As long as you keep choosing to try again then you are doing the right thing. I am proud of you, I know you can climb even with all that weight digging into your back.

I was treated badly at school because they knew my history, I had a Few friends, poor self-esteem. But now I have forgiven my mother, she does not drink, we have become friends with her. I realized that she drank to numb her pain. I accepted it, there is no anger and resentment against her, Harmony has come, the chain of hatred is broken and I feel at ease. Edit 9/18/2023: So it’s been about 3 months, and let me tell you that the progress has been astounding. The one thing I’ve learned over these months is to love yourself. Also I started a journal where I write down things that I am thankful for. I have lost 30lbs as well. I am the most emotionally mature of my life. I’ve grown closer than ever to God. It was great for me before, I learn to be positive and just enjoy everything. Everything changed when I met her, i thought she would be my only one forever until she decided to leave. I learned afterwards that she was just simply.. curious. What the fuck kind of world are we living in where it's okay to do that? She knew how much I suffered from that, i was being played, I loved her for nothing, and now she's able to live just.. for her own?
I want her to suffer but I know it's not for me to decide, I know deep down I don't want any harm happening to her. It's a constant battle of wanting to be better and wanting to inflict pain and suffering. It's a cycle that i've been living through since the start of the year.

I used to be a very upset kid, because of my mothers drinking problems and often took my anger out on my brother and pretty much anyone else. It wasn’t until my brother said the words “I hate you” that I was able to step back and look at what I’ve become. At that moment I vowed to never hurt anyone again, but I’ve broken that vow many times because I can’t control my anger. I wanted to be a better person, a happier person. The first step to that was forgiving my mother, and forgiveness is much harder than I ever thought it would be. I know this road isn’t easy but it’s the road I’ve chosen and I won’t go back again.
As long as you keep choosing to try again then you are doing the right thing. I am proud of you, I know you can climb even with all that weight digging into your back.

I was treated badly at school because they knew my history, I had a Few friends, poor self-esteem. But now I have forgiven my mother, she does not drink, we have become friends with her. I realized that she drank to numb her pain. I accepted it, there is no anger and resentment against her, Harmony has come, the chain of hatred is broken and I feel at ease.
