Congratulations on landing a job, sounds like you're really excited about it and it's cool to see a lot of graft and dedication paid off. Props to you as well for finding time to continue your own work alongside this as well as making content for this channel. That's a lot of plate spinning and shows how passionate you are about your creativity. I'll be sure to tune in to whatever you share! Really enjoying your tutorials and learning a lot, where I've struggled to follow some others yours are clear, easily followed and delivery high quality results. Also love the thoughtful approach - a shoot and grade series sounds great and I'm about to watch the Stranger Things uploads!
Hey! it's my first time watching your channel through your stranger things colour tutorial and i agree strongly with what you said, what you are offering here is really the complete package for DP to achieve a final look, which has to be done from pre-production to colour grading. Would love to learn more about it in the future!
Actually I think its a shame you didn't make part 2, I discovered your channel through part 1 yesterday and really would have liked to continue with it.
Thank you so much, I have been watching all of your toturials and it has taken my films production to another level..Do you have any other advance detail courses centered around the BMCC 2.5K where I can purchase? Or do you do one and one training? Love your stuff bro, keep it up....
I think you should make a video of the work you do there ..if its possible...some of the clips officially released and one u like too if its new for us. And dont worry about the time man...ur true fans like me...can wait for quality tutorial...i knw its not easy to manage everything at once...will wait..take you time...and yes congratulations...u deserve it.
Hey Avery. Could you do a Da Vinci "beginners" tutorial explaining where everything is and what it does as far as tool for grading go. OR could you recommend any? I am battling to find any online.
Hello Avery if you do go over shoot and grade I'll be looking forward to your tutorial can you please go over shooting from different cameras. you will get different looks if your shooting on black magic or Nikon or Cannon. can you go over different shooting methods that will apply to all cameras? I love the black magic camera but I don't own one I own a cannon. but I'm pretty sure everyone else will have different camera's just a thought. that way when you do go over grading we will all be on the same page no matter what camera we are using. thank you.
Hi Wakonda! Thanks for subbing! And yes, absolutely: that'll be a focus in the upcoming Shoot and Grade. My hope is that everyone can follow the series regardless of camera. There will be some general shooting tips to get the most out of your sensor, as well as grading tricks in Resolve to help level the playing field camera-wise. Obviously, every camera will perform a little differently, but you can get them close with the right control over your image. Tutorial is about 80% done right now; I'm planning to have it up this weekend!
This is exactly what I need my friend!!! Please do this. Thank you for the great content. And congrats on the job. That's so awesome
