    Thank you for this video, Dr. Sam!
    Do cleansing oils cause clogged pores as well or only the leave on oils?

    Thanks as ever for an interesting video. Does issue number 1 mean we shouldn't use cleansing balms and oils on our face in a double cleanse? Or was that meant for leave on oils and thick moisturizers

      Hi, if I understood correctly, I think Dr Sam was referring to the leave on balms and oils.

    Salicylic Acid has really helped the sebaceous filaments on my nose. But I need to use it like every day to keep them away. If I would use it just twice a week, as many suggest, they would come right back.
    Btw, I got a Pore Strip ad for this video 🙈

      @@galato4234what product are you using? you could use it in a cleanser, as it is wash off it will be less irritating.

      @@galato4234 I use the BHA Serum from Inkey List.
      I always use it at night. I started using it just on a patch of skin like the jaw to test reaction. Then I used once a week, and worked my way up to every other day. I only use daily on my nose where I have more blackheads/sebaceous filaments.
      This is the only potentially irritating product on my routine. All the cleaners and moisturizers are very gentle.

    Thank You, I am finding your videos are really helpful. When you talk about Salicylic acid, do you recommend a salicylic acid chemical peels? I recently done a morpheus8, 3weeks ago, I started getting breakouts, one of them seemed to be persistent.... I do feel my skin feels clean but no other significant changing otherwise. Thought I can try salicylic acid chemical peels? Also, I started using tinted moisturiser, do I need makeup remover when it comes to clean my face at night?

    I feel like retin-A is making my pores worse and my skin more oily. Is that normal? I’ve been on it for ~2 months

    • @kainaatk512
      @kainaatk512 2 роки тому

      Some say you should continue using bc it takes time to give results.
      And in some cases, retin A may not be suitable for everyone. You can try using a gentler retin A OR you can trying using natural Retin A's (rose hip, bakochoui (don't know how to spell).
      For now, try to use a salyclic acid cleanser and do use a moisturizer, otherwise skin produces more oil! You can also try niacinamide serum!

    is cleasing balm not advisable for oily acne prone skin? i use it in removing my sunscreen:)

    • @idahansen978
      @idahansen978 3 роки тому +2

      If you wear sunscreen , which you definitely should, you should also use the double cleansing method for your night time routine. The only thing to be aware of, is that the oils in the cleansing oil/balm should be low in oleic acid and high in linoleic acid (this is the case of you have oily, acne prone skin?) and the oil/balm should be non-comedogenic :) Also facial oils can be really helpful for oily, acne prone skin, given they are high in linoleic acid.
