I found this Danish Teak dresser for FREE at the side of the road a few months ago and have been completely intimidated by it ever since. I really wanted to restore this piece back to its original condition but after talking to a few restoration specialists, I realized that painting some of it was going to be the best course of action for this makeover.

I love that you still have the wood grain texture after you were done painting. That's ideal for this piece.

Just wondering how did you achieve that wood grain texture after painting?

You help me sublimate my compulsion to start projects of my own. I’m downsizing due to my age and can’t start a new hobby nor do I have room for more furniture. Your work and style leave me speechless. So beautiful. I could go on and on. I send your videos on to friends.

Katie....breathtaking! Loving the two tone.... WOW!!! Adore that color gray. I have an upstairs bathrooms that we tore out and made 2 rooms into one big bath ( well bigger than it was ...22 ft long and only 10 ft wide 🤷‍♀️ ) with a big shower, open shelves for a vanity, etc...and I had the contractor take the very low ceilings ( it is an 1800’s house ) but I had the guy make the ceiling go through the attic to the peak of the house. So one wall is 15 feet high, pitched down to 7ft high to the original outside wall. All shiplap and in a color very similar to that gray....LOVE IT, I call it my “catfish bath! “ everything else is white and the floor is a cottage gray. So when I see some one else LOVE that gray tone it make my heart happy....I’m not alone ! LOL!!!
Lee Valley Catalog is candy to my eyes !!! Do I know what half the stuff is or for? NO!!! But I think I want one of everything ! Some ladies look through clothing catalogs (👎🏻) etc...but give me Lee Valley. If I was younger and not all metal, plates, and pins and full of MS...I would love to have drills, paint brushed, the smell of sawdust in my nostrils.....LOVE IT ALL!!!, I’ve always said they should have cologne that smells as good as sawdust...LOL!!! (. Can you tell I was a contractor’s daughter and loved my Dad deeply ? )
Beautiful ....Beautiful piece , it is gorgeous Katie !

I have one very similar to this one, but mine is 7 feet long and no legs. I got it from a charity shop for only £7 about 5 years ago. I got it to store all of my sewing materials, and new also that it was worth about £200 as it was, but now after seeing what you have done with yours, miner's the legs, I think I may paint it. Wish me luck. Xx

I just wanted to say that the reason I subscribed is not just to watch you take sb's trash and transform it into its greatest potential. I can do that without subscribing. What made me subscribe is the down to earth person you come off as and you make it all very easy. Thanks and I'm happy to be one of those 70,000 who watch your creations. As for the chest of drawers, it was atrocious even in its youth. I would consider buying it after what you did!👍

I just bought a desk on Facebook Marketplace for 20 USD and it‘s made of that same material as that dresser! I’ve been searching for ideas on UA-cam on how to restore the desk I bought and this video is it! Your piece turned out beautiful again, despite the poor quality of the dresser itself: it looks very "luxe" and expensive now! Nothing wrong with a bit of spackle, when in need! I used it when I built my front door to cover/hide the fact that I used a variety of different woods and plywoods (I painted the door once it was all spackled and sanded). That was over ten years ago, and the finish I painted over it is still smooth and withstanding all the rough treatment it gets!
