With so many people living in smaller bedrooms with higher beds, the demand for matching sets of tall, slim nightstands is a million times higher than a makeup table! In this video I’ll show you how I take an outdated vanity and turn it into 2 high end bedside tables.

The first upcycling I ever did was exactly this, when we were first married but didn't paint them. That was 50 years ago! I've been an avid furniture painter for about 32 years. Your work is amazing Katie. x

I separate desks too, desks don't sell fast in my area but a pair of tall nightstands sell in on day. Fastastic job, thanks for letting me know about bondo, I was using several layers of wood filler yuck!

Love that you mentioned how each vanity will be different. I have a pair I’m ready to top coat now that had crazy indentation from connecting pieces so I used a lot of filler. As I’m new to this there may be imperfections because I got tired but they still turned out great. The color you used in this is fabulous ❤️

Absolutely gorgeous! I adore big bulky furniture, so figured these stands would be a hard for me to like... Not at all! Huge improvement. Watching you fearlessly disassemble furniture gives me the courage to try. (Actually fit a French Provincial dining table with three leaves and drop down sides into a Nissan Sentra by disassembling at the thrift store.)
