First video that tells how much and when to add water as well as how many bags per hole, thanks, made my day.
You are very welcome!
Thanks for the easy tutorial .....about to set my first pole!!
Thanks for sharing. Great video
Good video, nice work.
‘Plumb’ is the correct term for the perfectly upright, ‘level’ is for the horizontal orientation
Great vid, quick tip, always run .25" off the line. If u touch the line it progressively moves the line as you go. Thank you for the video.
Love it! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Great Experience to see thank you for sharing 👍😊
Thanks for watching! Enjoy!
Cool, thanks
Is it ok to throw in some metal mesh or rebar like you would in a mixed cement post?
I found there are levels call 'post and pipe levels" that are small, have corners and straps on. No more holding levels. 👍
$8.95 at Lowes.
Good video also the term level is primarily for objects that are in a horizontal position
For vertical objects such as your post the word plumb would better describe your work like ok that is good now my post is plumb.
Truth we have just been saying level for so long... We will correct ourselves one day! 😂Thanks for watching!
Can’t believe how much that frustrated me
you better calm down david@@davidcroy6107
Is two bags sufficient for a 6ft 4x4 post? According to the concrete bag, as well as some people, they are suggesting 4 bags which seems like overkill/insane to me.
that pole would be there for a thousand years lol
What is the depth for holes, how long are the poles?
Thank you,
Great question! So it really depends where you are located as well as what type of fencing you are using and what for. Most of the time we recommend 2 1/2 to 3 ft into the ground but if you are in a part of the US where the frost depth is lower than that you may need to go lower also for gates and corner posts those need to be really solid so they can always be deeper and wider as well. We are always good with too much but not too little. As far as the posts we typically have an 8 ft posts so that you can go 2 1/2 to 3 ft into the ground and use it for a 5 ft tall fence but if you are going deeper than that you would need longer posts for example if you are going 4 ft into the ground and want a 6ft fence i would make sure to have an 11 ft post. You always want a little more so that you never come up short and can cut it down if needed. Hope this helps but also here is another video of ours to help answer this question ua-cam.com/video/_SjA4hrq6Kc/v-deo.html
Well done ❤John 3,16 ❤
I use regular bags of concrete and put one shovel of calcium chloride into the mix and it kicks in about 20 mins. Much cheaper. It’s about 30bucks for for 50 pounds of calcium chloride (comes in granules like road salt)
Wouldn't the post be more stable with mixed concrete in the hole then setting the post?
That way concrete gets in the center of the post too.
You could even raise the pipe to the hight you want.
Definitely a great option as well. I do know of people doing this option we have just personally never done it. Thanks for watching!
Vertical is plumb, not level. Good video though.
You are 100% correct! Appreciate the support! Be sure to check out more of out videos!
ADDED TOO MUCH WATER, YOU DON'T NEED THAT MUCH
