Manda pro Brasil meu amigo !!! Rsrsrsrs... abraço
Hi bro I am 72 yrs old beginner love you teaching simple but work for me. 🙏❤️🙏
Only 3 minutes in and I know this video is going to be a reference video I come back to often!
Right? This was a winner for sure!
Same. I try to at least play 2-3 of these a day at decent speed. They definitely don't sound as nice as his though. Lol
I cant agree more on this
Yea me too alot
Same
I've got to say. You have taught me so much! Self taught since 12-now 72. Learning how to marry the notes to the scales and fretboard-game changer for this old ax grinder! Peace
Best on line tutor I've ever seen..explains everything perfectly...brilliant guy...
Just wanted to say "Thank you" for a GREAT lesson. Been playin almost 30 years, recently got into Blues Licks, and building my "vocabulary" of Go-to licks, and I can't tell you HOW MUCH I appreciate you keeping them ALL in the SAME key! This has been WAY MORE EFFECTIVE (for ME) than 100 licks ALL in DIFFERENT keys. I finally began to see the FUNDAMENTAL things in ALL Blues Licks, and you can properly show MAJOR and MINOR and how to get "in and out" of them...
You took the words right out of my mouth ! Thank you Rob
You seem to anticipate my learning needs and goals. What a great teacher.
This! Is what every new player want's!! Priceless!
It's like you're giving away the blues in gold bars, gift wrapping it and handing it to us with a smile. I've been playing for a spell, but STILL this video I find has tremendous value. Thank you!
Essa foi a melhor aula de Licks que eu já assisti! Parabéns e muito obrigado! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Really unlocked some things for me. Playing more than 45 years. Knew scales and caged but this put it all together brilliantly. Thanks
You are so easy to watch, you are a great teacher. Been playing 53 yrs. In Southern Rock bands, with great musicians, some you would know, and others you wouldn’t, each great in their own way, but I truly enjoy your stuff, you will make players better, and beginners enjoy learning. Look forward to watching your other videos.
Another awesome lesson! Thank you so very much. I am really developing passion for blues guitar and you make it very accessible. Learning these licks is so much fun👍👍❤️🎸🎸 thank you !
thanks for such great explanations on why these licks work in the scale patterns and how it all starts tieing together.. definitely a gifted teacher. excited to check out your lessons. thanks again
This is one of my favorite lessons I have ever come across. Mixing the major and minor pentatonic gives you such a great sound. Thank you for the time you put into this. This really is a great lesson keep up the good work
Wow! Rob your lessons are brilliant and pitched at a challenging but achievable level. Thank you from Western Australia.
This video is one of the very best I've seen for delivering instantly usable information/technique/ licks. I appreciate very much your generosity in devoting your time to strangers to help them gain more enjoyment from the guitar. I'm in a blues band and I will use ALL of these licks in some fashion. Thank you!
The BEST guitar Blues tutorial I have ever seen. Coming from a sax player, retired music teacher, still active musician. Bravo!
I've been playing for 40 years and still was able to pick up some new things. Thanks. 🙂👍💯
Thanks dude!! I’ve been doing loads of “riff-solo-riff” lately working on my rhythm and was stuck on 2-3 very boring licks. This is absolutely perfect! Appreciate your sharing and effort ❤️🙏
What a tasty set of Riffs... probably the best set of Riffs I've seen put together in one lesson. Well done Swiftie!!!
This great lesson will keep me busy for 20 days 😀. A lick 👅 each evening ... thanks Rob!
Great stuff Rob, your by far my favorite guitar Teacher on UA-cam!
🙏🏽🤲🏾🎸
Wow what a generous lesson, gonna have to favourite this and keep coming back. Love it dude thank you!
Undoubtedly the best teacher on the net. Highly recommended to all.
I had that guitar in 93. That was one of the greatest guitars I’ve ever played. I have a classic now but that guitar was so perfect.
One of the best guitar content creators out there, youve helped my improv and playing immensely through numerous different lessons! keep it up, love your channel!
Thank you for this lesson and the time you have taken for preparing the diagrams and your super demonstrations of the licks. I have learnt a lot from this lesson.
That’s some of the best blues and rock licks you could possibly learn, great job man
I know immediately I’ll be back here over and over trying to learn these thanks so much excellent video !
Amazing video.
I watch every single second of it as a reference.
This video is one of the reasons that I love my Duesenberg more and more
This is an absolute treasure trove for new and novice players!!!
Cudo's Rob!
@@kowalski8 😔😔😔
Great riffs! Great instruction. Thank you!
Awesome lesson for those like me who know the skeleton for pentatonic scales, but when playing seems like we are practising going up and down, forwards and backwards secuentially on the scale. Thanks!!
Yes I have that problem
From Argentina we appreciate your excellent blues lessons
This is by far the best Blues guitar lesson for phrasing
Dude these are exactly what I was looking for!!! All so tasty definitely going to evolve my playing!
Thank you for these. As addressed in the comments, you're an excellent teacher. I'm going to sign up as a patron after I've finished the freebie course.
The variety of genres and styles here blows my mind!! I'm in!
Thank you for the huge effort!
The first one that really conveys a whole possibility! Thank you!
Thank you. Thanks for taking time to put tabs and notes.
On the surface a lot of licks that sound great there and easy to play with practice. Dig a little deeper and there's an awful lot there in terms of understanding the positions of the scale on the neck and using the major and minor. I can get so much out of this. Thank you.
Eye opener, got up to lick 8#.
Will be revisiting.
Love that guitar.
Top drawer again Rob. I'm working my way through them. I've transposed a few to my favourite key of D and it works great. Definitely 'Next Level'
I'm so glad I found this channel. Instantly I knew I was home for a while.
This is has started me on my own improvisation! I found that we can take a few of these licks and mix/match them together to build a riff, while added a few extra notes and some pull off/hammer ons, and you'll really feel like you're improvising 🤙
Too often you look on UA-cam to look for this kind of thing and end up looking at stuff that you have heard all too often but this is an excellent lesson there is so much to be learned so thank you so much for taking the time 😀
I've tried other musicians on UA-cam but I always come back to swift lessons.I find your lessons on patreon the best, with the best pdf study guide too!
Once again, excellent lesson and as always extremely well explained.
Nice and easy to learn licks .I also found on the 1st lick I repeated the lick in A by sliding down to the D scale and answering it in the E scale.
Seemed to work and got me using more of the neck .Great lesson .
YES! Appreciated this one for sure🙌🙌🙌
wow. thank you so much. this is a lessons ive been looking for soo long. you got it all. explaining pentatonic major vs mainor vs blues, interchanging it, moving the
entire neck, adding signatures from legends like bb king and srv, transitions, tabs, playing in slowmo and normal. 31 minutes but worth to rewing endlessly, surely enough for a week of practising. respect!!
just one thing that intrigues me: celebrating srv, but not playing his strat!
This is one of the best tutorials on UA-cam. I'm just starting again, after 15+ years away. Haven't played since high school. These are great since you learn not just fun licks but the scales as well.
Man we're on the same boat. People got so much expectation of me when I was in high school but I stopped playing when I get into college. 12 years later I bought my own electric guitar and felt like starting over again but it's more enjoyable this time since the understanding is so much easier now and big thanks to the god like presentation of this video.
Makes me wonder how the people I look up to in the past learned this in the first place without youtube lol
@Aldrin Aldrin yeah! Lol.
Same here, I quit because I started getting pretty good and people were always pressuring me to practice and make a career out of it. I totally put it away about 15-20years ago. I'm 38 now, and can actually enjoy it on my own terms. I lost much of what I knew, but I'm picking it up quicker now than I did in high school. But yeah, good luck with it!
Somehow I stumbled across this lesson but I’m glad I did. Even though I’m late to the party as I see this was created two years ago, I’m having a blast with it.
There are some really good licks in here. Thank you headless man.
Best lesson, you make it so much easier with your teaching technique!! Thanks!
I have never learned so much from one video. Thank you!
Great guitar and blues licks. Thank you so much 👌🎶🎶🎶
Oh yes siree! Really like this lesson, love the way you break it down and the camera views are excellent, cool and sexy riffs. Thanks Rob!
Great lesson! You explained the context for these as well. Very usable licks and helping me shake the rust off my fingers. Subscribed.
after 60 years of playing keyboards , in jan 23 im going back to guitar. i know chords and patterns, but i remember being weak on picking out good leads. i can duplicate what you play on my keyboard BUT my goal is to re learn this on my guitar. thanks for your video.
Sure do love this lesson and with the tube screamer you have a great sound . Very strong!
Thanks for starting simple and keeping it tasty & thorough! GOOD STUFF!
Thanks for the ideas! I love lick 9. Giving me chills!
I've been looking for this kind of lessons for long time with lick library and tabs, Thank you so much and Subscribed!
thank you for sharing. Great lessons
Nicely done. I'll put this one under favorites. I'll be coming back to this one often. More please.
Saw just a few ones but sure that i will be back to learn other clear and cool licks of yours. Thanks!
I joined. I'm 72 (played since I was 22) with 3 acoustic guitars and a Les Paul on layaway.
Obviously, your 20 licks is right up my alley with a Les Paul coming within a week.
Rodger ...Waves (Seattle)
This is a cracking lesson Rob, explained well making it easy to learn, Probably the best on You-tube. Thank you.
Really fantastic tutorial, thank you very much, I saw your 'let it be' tutorial too, made me happy, so good. Thanks for sharing and explaning the A chord and it's potential. I hope this channel will make you happy too, channel's like yours make the internet very worthwhile. Great teacher! Love it! 😋
Amazing lessons, thank you❤️
Definitely one to come back to for a while, nicely presented and seems entirely doable. You may have just inspired me to finally learn to read tabs. 😎👍
D o it! Tab is great just remember dont get overwhelmed. Pick a song or a lead whatever and take it in small pieces. Learn memorize play clean and slow as you have to. Then keep playing it over and over till your up to speed. As your working on one section maybe 2 to 4 bars or so start the next so you dont burn out. Pretty soon youll gave a nice section done.it sometimes takes me a month to learn a whole solo but when you can play a lead note for note to the record it very cool. Just have to take your time and dont get frustrated and stay in your ability moving into more difficult slowly but surely. You know how to eat an elephant? One bite at a time! Have fun 6 strings 20 or so frets thats it.
this is the teaching I'v been looking for thanks
Awesome licks. Can't wait to go thru and as I learn em,put my own style to it.
this is awesome, gonna take a while to memorize them all, great licks, thank you!
It’s starting to make since. Loved your lesson, first time I’ve seen any of your videos an definitely won’t be the last.
I just started my UA-cam Channel. Being a born again guitarist, back after 20 yrs,I'm only focusing on blues. This video is a for a saver. I'm gonna compile my favorite, easy to understand blues instructional vids on my Channel soon. Great vid,and keep them coming.
Excellent lesson. Lots of nice ideas that are very useful.
Oh my!!! Thank you very much for this one❤️❤️❤️
This is really great man. Broke me out of a mini rut. I forgot to come back to basics. Thanks dude. Book marked!
Great stuff man! This is exactly what I needed. Realizing I'm beyond the beginner/intermediate lessons at this point and need to stop going back to those hoping they'll push me further. Just need the licks now.
My dude! This lesson changed my whole life just had to come here a year later and tell you that, thank you.
What an excellent job you have for us all here sir.
That was great. Just what ive been after as im kind of stuck in the same 4 or 5 licks.
