    Just wanted to say "Thank you" for a GREAT lesson. Been playin almost 30 years, recently got into Blues Licks, and building my "vocabulary" of Go-to licks, and I can't tell you HOW MUCH I appreciate you keeping them ALL in the SAME key! This has been WAY MORE EFFECTIVE (for ME) than 100 licks ALL in DIFFERENT keys. I finally began to see the FUNDAMENTAL things in ALL Blues Licks, and you can properly show MAJOR and MINOR and how to get "in and out" of them...

    You are so easy to watch, you are a great teacher. Been playing 53 yrs. In Southern Rock bands, with great musicians, some you would know, and others you wouldn’t, each great in their own way, but I truly enjoy your stuff, you will make players better, and beginners enjoy learning. Look forward to watching your other videos.

    On the surface a lot of licks that sound great there and easy to play with practice. Dig a little deeper and there's an awful lot there in terms of understanding the positions of the scale on the neck and using the major and minor. I can get so much out of this. Thank you.

    wow. thank you so much. this is a lessons ive been looking for soo long. you got it all. explaining pentatonic major vs mainor vs blues, interchanging it, moving the
    entire neck, adding signatures from legends like bb king and srv, transitions, tabs, playing in slowmo and normal. 31 minutes but worth to rewing endlessly, surely enough for a week of practising. respect!!
    just one thing that intrigues me: celebrating srv, but not playing his strat!

    This is one of the best tutorials on UA-cam. I'm just starting again, after 15+ years away. Haven't played since high school. These are great since you learn not just fun licks but the scales as well.

    • @aldrinaldrin4618
      @aldrinaldrin4618 2 роки тому

      Man we're on the same boat. People got so much expectation of me when I was in high school but I stopped playing when I get into college. 12 years later I bought my own electric guitar and felt like starting over again but it's more enjoyable this time since the understanding is so much easier now and big thanks to the god like presentation of this video.
      Makes me wonder how the people I look up to in the past learned this in the first place without youtube lol

    • @RByrne
      @RByrne 2 роки тому

      @Aldrin Aldrin yeah! Lol.
      Same here, I quit because I started getting pretty good and people were always pressuring me to practice and make a career out of it. I totally put it away about 15-20years ago. I'm 38 now, and can actually enjoy it on my own terms. I lost much of what I knew, but I'm picking it up quicker now than I did in high school. But yeah, good luck with it!

    • @richardthomas4001
      @richardthomas4001 2 роки тому

      D o it! Tab is great just remember dont get overwhelmed. Pick a song or a lead whatever and take it in small pieces. Learn memorize play clean and slow as you have to. Then keep playing it over and over till your up to speed. As your working on one section maybe 2 to 4 bars or so start the next so you dont burn out. Pretty soon youll gave a nice section done.it sometimes takes me a month to learn a whole solo but when you can play a lead note for note to the record it very cool. Just have to take your time and dont get frustrated and stay in your ability moving into more difficult slowly but surely. You know how to eat an elephant? One bite at a time! Have fun 6 strings 20 or so frets thats it.
