Fantastic lesson man! I have been basically a rythym player for 40 years. I'm always stuck in the pentatonic boxes it seems when it comes to lead. I honestly can say I think you are the best guitar instructor on UA-cam.
Figuring out where all BC and EF notes are the best way learn the neck. They act as landmarks for different modes so you can break out of the pentatonic and start sounding more like Jerry Garcia.
The only thing better than an amazing guitarist, is an amazing guitar instructor who is able to effectively communicate ideas to others so that they can one day, possibly, become an amazing guitarist, as well! You are awesome!! Thanks!!!
I heard the CCR and Zeppelin as you were explaining the approach. This really opened my eyes (ears) to sounds I thought only the masters knew. You pulled back the curtains, thank you.
You are doing great speaking and showing information about learning lead on guitar. You don't bore us with a lot of nonsensical talking that many do, but you only speak to describe what a person should do.....Great Job!!
I’m that guy. The Rhythm guy trying to expand his skill set. I’m not unfamiliar with the concepts you are discussing but this is the simplest most succinct explanation I’ve seen. Excellent lesson! Really!
I am a Rhythm guitarist and was and am still struggling to play Solo but man I have picked up a few ideas from this video. Thanks, you are a great teacher 👏🏻..I need a few more videos like this one..(Bangalore. India)
Thanks a stack for that easy to follow and very helpful lesson and soloing ebook. I`m a singer who plays a bit of guitar for fun off stage. You`ve added a whole new level of enjoyment for me. Thanks!!
Danke! Eine super Lektion, die einem zeigt, was man eigentlich kann, es aber nur noch nicht wusste. Und, dass weniger Töne zu spielen oft mehr ist. Weiter so!
Love all of your tutorials you have an amazing ability at making playing the guitar so simple, which basically it is. You are one of the very best guitar tutors on UA-cam, quite possibly THE best 👍
As a beginner I'm watching to make more sense of the stuff I can't grasp ..thank you .. NOW it makes sense ..I can understand now ..maybe even play soon ..oooh 😮
Fantastic guitar lesson I've been playing rhythm guitar since 2009 Now I'm 30 years old and I decided to play lead guitar to come out of my comfort zone
That‘s what you actually do a lot when you‘re the only guitar player in a band. Just listen to Jimmi. 😄 You also do it when you‘re comping - backing a soloist rhythmically without getting in his way.
Very kool man. I dig the simplicity of this progression BUT can also be a little more complex if one wants to explore. I stopped the lesson halfway through to snag me guitar and fumble around some.
Very helpful..Thank you..Much appreciated! I have the privilege of working with the best guitarist in this county.. some of what you do reminds me of him.
Eddie always with the best lessons. GOAT 🐐 🎸 Thanks Eddie H, for another inspirational lesson on how to get better at playing guitar and progressing levels ❤
This was an awesome lesson. Maybe your best ever. What effect or distortion are you using and or what can you recommend for a beginner/???intermediate student?

The double stops and triads shapes change w Maj minor 7th etc chord shapes to match which is partial modal theory as well.
