I was logging my prgress here; www.gtmbuild.weebly.com but there's not any build videos. Search youtube for "Fastthings gtm build". He has lots of videos of the before and after and talks about what he will do and did.
Definitely a revolutionary idea and a great system that could make automotive history if used correctly but as far as I can see you guys will always be at the top of kit cars for decades to come, and I'll support it the entire way through because your cars are the ones I want in my garage
Mr.Smith your cars and your team are amazing and I was wondering if you where ever thinking about building a 41 Willys, one day I hope to purchase a 33 full body hot rod kit if you don’t do a willys before then. Thanks Bill in south Florida
Factory Five always hits their products out of the park! Now with this they'll do even better. And from what I'm seeing what's being worked on now looks beyond stunning.
Can a 6’7 person fit in it comfortably? Is there room to set seat and pedals to allow this? Wish the gtm could, from what I read it’s space is limited.
Since we are starting with the same chassis as the Type 65 Coupe, there's a chance a 6'7" person can fit in the new supercar, but since things are still in development, we don't have a definitive answer on that yet. Customers up to 6'6" have fit in our Gen 3 Coupe, so at 6'7", you're on the taller side of fitting comfortably in there.
the concept model that we see in the video a modern type 65 coupe? Will it eventually go into production? if so then that kit is definitely on my wish list. keep going guys !!
The plan is to go into production on the GTF, but the crew has some revisions on the body they want to make first. We'll share updates on the project as they become available.
Got my Ford V10 ready and waiting! Now only piece of the puzzle would be the price of the kit.... Please be under GTM pricing and closer to Daytona Coupe.
I can't wait to see it, I've been considering a Superlite slc because of all the fit and finish issues of the current GTM but now I'm going to wait to see what you guys come up with especially with the door and power window assembly and reducing the amount of body work.
Waiting is exactly what I would advise. There are a select few builders that are always the "first" to build. Continue to wait and for some of the "average" or "standard" customers to build and provide comment. Then study all of it and make a decision.
Okay, I hear that you are set on using a Daytona coupe chassis. Will we be able to purchase that type of chassis from you? Also, I would still like to know if you would ever do a workshop for this model when it goes into production.
Eliminating the clay modeling process. Great idea. Faster way to get from your inspiration and brain into physical form. Using VR. Very interesting. Love it. I'll show this to my Automotive students.
This looks terrific, a front engine original design :D. in my dreams the GTM would be revised to be big enough to make a livable mid engine race car out of and designed to accept required safety features without having to undergo the extensive modifications that people like the PDG had to do to theirs.
I think you guys have an amazing company you do amazing work I've been paying attention since the early two thousands and one day I will have one of these cars.
Very smart move using the Daytona as the base. Carol Shelby did the same thing in developing the GT40 way when. But this new technology is super. All Factory Five cars are highly desirable and when I visit their site I get a Chronic Case of Want . I live in the Philippines and getting them here is a hard process due to Government Red Tape Crap. I wish factory Five would look at with an individual getting kits here at a reasonable price. Plenty of highly cashed up individuals here.
Been wishing for any of these platforms for YEARS. Hopefully, this car will come in at a price point i can afford, the digital images look beautiful! Kinda Ferrari, kinda Aston Martin looking! Any idea what engine platform will go in it? Possible Price target?
love the tail end and the wheel arches of this car, not crazy about what I can see off the headlights or the front end because it looks a lot like a P1... that being said I've been saving up to build a factory five and this design has me really excited, needless to say I think this is the one for me.
This looks like it could be a substitute for the rod kit I was considering for next year. Looking forward to it. Would really love something like the “Brawler” body from PS4 Table Top Racing on your cobra platform. Make something like that and I will jump on it. (No kidding and yes I am a bit weird)
Hy guys amazing work. I am a car passionate and I design cars since I was a little kid, I don't have a degree in design but I can design very cool cars. If you guys want some ideas I would happily help you
Good to see. But sometimes faster isn't better. This is why carrozzeria - like Bertone, Pininfarina, Zagato - is a thing that is much more valued than a generic design studio. They get inspiration from art, music, life in general. And that's what makes a collectible supercar. That people pay premium for. Your customer wants to know, that you worked long and hard to make this exclusive product. So VR is only part of that design.
My thoughts on your ideas. You can skip all that metal sub & whole frame stuff and trust your new found 3D design surface geometry & 3D rendering(just get better with it). As far as body panels go forget sculptured maching and go to Stratasys's old(off patent now cheeper$) Ultem1010 or Ultem 9085(Polyetherimide{PEE}). Use this in 3DP's WorkBench Series #400 3D Printer to print 6mm. thick outer body panels covered and sealed in Carbon-Fiber. That printer is about 40 to 50k depending on multiple extruders and enclosesure options. Been eye ball to eye ball with this. The model #400 can print 59" on the "X"axis, 39" on the"Y" axis, and 27&3/4" on the "Z"axis. Sure thats big, but out of the box thinking, can get printings 115" long or longer. Here is how: I will use 3" of print lenght in sandwhich/finger joinery connecting 2 printings(or more) with a special connector at each corner of printings. After determining depth and aim of these connectors in composite panels you can attach printings at 250kg.s pull each connector. Cool thing is a simple to connect or disconnect just can be forward or reverse on your pistol drill. THIS IS Invisible detachable joining "Invis Lamello" store.swissinvis.com/ . See some UA-cam videos of these in action. Composites 101 says it's not so much the joinery or materials that give strenght to your final product, it's curing, thickness, many factors for you doughters. Invis Lamello's connectors come in 8mm.,12mm., and 30mm.(1&1/8" can easily attach sub frames to monocoque chassis). I use www.compositeenvisions.com . Burton Precision ph# 616-784-1756 deals in many 3D printers and optical/lazer scanners. They have a very cool portable robotic arm magnetic base scanner that could allow someone to simply weld two handles on a scrap piece of heavy metal and use this scanner on site at outdoor auto shows to instantly show potential customers changes in their rides while they view it live on your laptop.
Fix the front end of this car. Look at the Aston Martin Vulcan and Ferraris and super cars alike. Give this concept a front end that matches the rest of the curves this car has
I just hope you're not going to keep that Manta looking front end fender well . I can just see all the road tar kicking up and sticking to the side of the car
I want these tools and technology So I can build a space ship and get out of here!!! Really...cool tools.what could be better??? "BeWitched" technology...snap your fingers anf wiggle your nise....snap it appears out of your mind into reality.....
I don't understand how they are getting certification at the numbers they are making them. Ferrari might be selling less cars than they are, yet have to go through huge expense of certification and compliancing. Seems wrong. If I was them I wouldn't be drawing to much attention to myself.
They don't sell complete cars, they sell kit cars that owners complete and register (depending on state and insurance). Ferrari sells complete cars and as such has to comply with government regulations.
There is a reason every OEM uses clay full scale models as part of the process. Poly/Sub-d modeling does not capture the subtle nuance needed to create truly beautiful automotive surfaces. For the love of god hire a creative designer, and 2-3 clay sculptors. VR does not replace, it augments the traditional tools.
The problem with Factory5 is i want every car they make :)
Hoagie Sherlin LOL, you are not alone in having that same problem! 😂
Damn it I’m not alone
I am blown away with every car you produce WOW FACTOR!
i freely admit to hitting the thumb's up before the video loaded.
Like damn, every time I watch a new Factory Five video. My mind gets blown away.
Can’t wait to see the new car! 😁🤘
I'm still working on my GTM. I really hope you can apply as much effort to the body.
Any chance you could put some build videos up? Im addicted to watching people build cars from the ground up.
I was logging my prgress here; www.gtmbuild.weebly.com but there's not any build videos. Search youtube for "Fastthings gtm build". He has lots of videos of the before and after and talks about what he will do and did.
Love your cars. Love your shop. Love the drive to do more, better, faster. I hope to be a customer some day. Keep killing it.
We are building one of their Roadsters. Get one of their kits. You won't regret it.
Definitely a revolutionary idea and a great system that could make automotive history if used correctly but as far as I can see you guys will always be at the top of kit cars for decades to come, and I'll support it the entire way through because your cars are the ones I want in my garage

YES FINALLY THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR
This is got to be one of the coolest things I have ever seen.
I will some day own one of your products!
I have been saying that for a while now
I see a lot of the Shelby GR1 in the side profile.
Factory Five always hits their products out of the park! Now with this they'll do even better. And from what I'm seeing what's being worked on now looks beyond stunning.
FFR designing my future dream car.
This has me excited! I can't for what you guys come up with! :D
Can a 6’7 person fit in it comfortably? Is there room to set seat and pedals to allow this? Wish the gtm could, from what I read it’s space is limited.

Customers up to 6'6" have fit in our Gen 3 Coupe, so at 6'7", you're on the taller side of fitting comfortably in there.
Making room in my garage, this F9R is the new project, even if it takes 3 years to complete. Totally worth it.
the concept model that we see in the video a modern type 65 coupe?
Will it eventually go into production? if so then that kit is definitely on my wish list. keep going guys !!
The plan is to go into production on the GTF, but the crew has some revisions on the body they want to make first. We'll share updates on the project as they become available.
@@factoryfive GTF uhm what did I missed? Haha I'm looking forward to see your updates.
Awesome. I’ve wanted a Factory Five car for a while and can’t wait to see what the new design looks like.
You guys!!! I dont know how mucho time I has waited for this!!! You well see, when I get adult and more money I will build one with my bare hands!!!

Hello. Love what you guys do here. What donor car frame will this body use, and would it be available in your workshop classes?
Okay, I hear that you are set on using a Daytona coupe chassis. Will we be able to purchase that type of chassis from you? Also, I would still like to know if you would ever do a workshop for this model when it goes into production.
Love the technology being utilized here. Really slick.
Revolutionary. Go science!!!!!
The entire crew @Factory Five is a Dream team!!
Eliminating the clay modeling process. Great idea. Faster way to get from your inspiration and brain into physical form. Using VR. Very interesting. Love it. I'll show this to my Automotive students.

Very cool guys! Excited to see what is next.
Wow! This is very impressive. With a forward thinker like Dave Smith leading the company Factory Five is going to keep growing and innovating.
I think you guys have an amazing company you do amazing work I've been paying attention since the early two thousands and one day I will have one of these cars.
When is it comming? 2019 is here
Very smart move using the Daytona as the base. Carol Shelby did the same thing in developing the GT40 way when. But this new technology is super. I live in the Philippines and getting them here is a hard process due to Government Red Tape Crap. I wish factory Five would look at with an individual getting kits here at a reasonable price. any upates? will it be at sema '19?
Super excited to see this, I'll definitely be conflicted between a GTF and GTM in the future is this looks as good as I hope.
can't wait to see it and drive my own.
Been wishing for any of these platforms for YEARS. Hopefully, this car will come in at a price point i can afford, the digital images look beautiful! Kinda Ferrari, kinda Aston Martin looking! Any idea what engine platform will go in it? Possible Price target?
i believe V8, as usual
God bless factory five, keep it up guys
love the tail end and the wheel arches of this car, not crazy about what I can see off the headlights or the front end because it looks a lot like a P1... that being said I've been saving up to build a factory five and this design has me really excited, needless to say I think this is the one for me.
Great! Now get to work on a Chevron B-19 or Lola T-70 Spyder body for the 818 for me! LOL!
Waiting impatiently for GTF updates =]
Nice work guys
Is this going to replace the GTM supercar?
Amazing stuff guys
What software are they using to do the model rendering?
inspiring keep up the good work MADE IN THE USA
Ohhhhh lala. You guys are setting the Bar.
thanks for pushing the envelope !
How about a Factory Five that fits people over 6' tall COMFORTABLY????
bikebudha01 I’m 6’7 and wanted the gtm until I read its hard to get in.
Would I be able to put a Hellcat engine in one of these?
I want that truck!
This looks like it could be a substitute for the rod kit I was considering for next year. Looking forward to it.
Would really love something like the “Brawler” body from PS4 Table Top Racing on your cobra platform. Make something like that and I will jump on it. (No kidding and yes I am a bit weird)
Dave, after building 3 Roadsters... I Want A GTF!
Living the dream!
Wow. Good stuff
Very cool.
Hy guys amazing work. I am a car passionate and I design cars since I was a little kid, I don't have a degree in design but I can design very cool cars. If you guys want some ideas I would happily help you
I'm so hype.
I hope you fixed the way you make body panels, customers don't like separating panels.
I would like to see them build an amx3 or an amx2.
I make 3D models for the construction industry now, would love to model on the automotive side.
Giddy up baby!!!
Love the design but MOAR RMR PLZ (818 and GTM
God damn I would love to build one of these with a m120 v12 in it, maybe one day if my UA-cam channel gets bigger.
Good to see. But sometimes faster isn't better.

Oh dear, another one to add to the never-ending list of cars I want to build... 😂
They must call it "Factory Five" because you need to own "Five Factories" to afford your favorite model - ALL OF THEM!
Is the new car front engine or mid
Front engine is not bad thing
My thoughts on your ideas. You can skip all that metal sub & whole frame stuff and trust your new found 3D design surface geometry & 3D rendering(just get better with it). Oh hell yeah!
From a designers standpoint make the front end look more P1 Mclaren that 720 imho...looks better
i will be a costumer if u would have front engine 818c
Seriously?? You guys set the bar high... And then set it even higher each and every time that too affordable
Any of these cars (kits to be specific) you buy there is no fix if you have an accident.
Fix the front end of this car. Look at the Aston Martin Vulcan and Ferraris and super cars alike. Give this concept a front end that matches the rest of the curves this car has
The front looks good and intimidating factory fives racing is trying to make this car look unique not a clone of some other car
Very cool, but I'm not sure that this is new technology, maybe for the kit car industry.
I would soooo work there for free...
Even just taking out the trash and sweeping the floors.
More on the truck...
Is anyone else using vr to design a car?
I just hope you're not going to keep that Manta looking front end fender well . I can just see all the road tar kicking up and sticking to the side of the car
👍
'
better rather like plain simple vehicle...
no need fantasy wow sporty car...
vehicle must have 2 amber yellow lights on the taillights
please higher me!!!!!
'hire'
hopefully they dont up there price on all the cars
I want these tools and technology
So I can build a space ship and get out of here!!!
Really...cool tools.what could be better??? "BeWitched" technology...snap your fingers anf wiggle your nise....snap it appears out of your mind into reality.....

I feel like TVR just became irrelevant
Why not just buy a BRZ?
are you dumb?
Because a wheezy 200hp Toyobaru isn't gettin' it done.
I guess VR has not been successful?
Wow! Maybe now the FUBAR MK I thru MK-IV rear wheel opening radius that just SCREAMS KIT CAR can be fixed?
