I used to love IKEA because their prices were so good. I lost an ektorp couch in my divorce and went to order another. They were 399 but out of stock. Then all of a sudden they discontinued it and replaced it with the upland which has gone up to 800! All of their prices are becoming so high.
So true. I have two linen Erktops, one is a sofa bed, and they discontinued everything to sell way more expensive similar furnitures. It is very sad that they do not continue the basics as they did at the beginning of their journey. I can't even change the cover now, which I regularly did for the Erktop Ottoman. It is indeed becoming so pricy now...
True, same over here in Scandinavia. I waited several months for pax wardrobe, and the prices is not so nice as they were.
I think the ektirp was better quality - certainly as far as the upholstery material goes. The ektirp was sized right, priced right, better material and washable colors. I wish they’d bring it back. Especially the white. I had to say goodbye to my old sofa, but already knew what I wanted. After carrying it for so many years, no ektorp😭
I own Ektorp chair and ottoman and was going to purchase new covers, so disappointed.
We shouldn’t be shopping at stores that support communist countries that enslave their people… if we keep buying… they will never be set free
I've never been to an IKEA. Thanks for the tour! 😆 Thrift stores aren't as cheap as they used to be. Was at Goodwill the other day and I saw a glass dome for a cake plate like the one you were looking at. It was $10 just for the dome! A white cake plate was about $9, so IKEA is still a good deal. At least it's a matching set!

Thanks for the tour Sarah. I'm planning on taking a trip down to the city next week and Ikea is definitely going to be one of my stops. I do own that small shoe cupboard that you were showing. It sits in my front entrance. I repainted it to match my taste and added a larger piece of wood on top so I can display seasonal decor. It's a great space saver.

I've really liked the Ikea tour. Even more when you chose the pieces I love. I've gifted my daughter for her birthday the ikea desk and it is so beautiful..what is hard is to find a chair that suits her and does not hide its beautiful lines. Kisses and hugs from Spain

I love Ikea, it is like I am Alice in wonderland ! I do not necessary like everything, but the way they set up the "apartments", is amazing. The displays are however very different from place to place, and it is stunning to see that other countries have very different products either ! There are always tons of little (or bigger) things we want to buy ! Thank you for the trip.

There are definitely different displays at different stores. I just went to the Atlanta store last week, and they had different displays.

I live in Idaho and the closest IKEA is 5 hours away in Salt Lake 😩 I try to beg my husband to take a trip so we can go and he says ABSOLUTELY NOT 😂 he’s not a fan of the store. Ive managed to convince him to go twice whenever we happen to be there.

I really enjoyed this video and the timing is perfect. We are finishing our basement and looking for affordable furniture options. They all have to come in pieces because the door to our basement is only 29" wide.🤣P.S. I love your shoes!

I have been to IKEA a few times but I usually get so overwhelmed that I end up leaving with maybe a new plant. I loved this tour with you, it gave me so many ideas. I really loved the Farlov sofa. I wonder how comfortable it is.

It’s easy to get overwhelmed in ikea. I often have to calm myself because the design can make me feel trapped and panicky.

I use a punch bowl ever year at Christmas.
I went to IKEA once. With 2 small children and my husband. And maybe an infant... 😆 I just walked. I followed the arrows and we walked in and walked and walked and then walked out and I felt like my entire system was on overload for days. 🤣 I remember only vague things from the trip. 😆. Maybe I should go alone. 🤔

That person sneezing loudly grossed me right out. If they're sneezing that loudly, they're clearly not covering their nose/mouth - just spraying their fluids all over everything that people are buying/touching 😷 I CAN'T
