It has been a long time since I've started to consider making a Kakash AMV. Well, he is one of my favorite characters. Alas, until this very moment I failed to find a good song for him. I was a bit disappointed with these ANBU episodes, I thought they would be better, but never mind that :)

One of them threatens to kill him
His Mentor/Friend (jiraya) was killed.
He must protect his village and students from a hostile way more powerful than him
He dies without much achievement
He sees his father again .. And when his soul is clear .. Bam. He's alive again
His dead best friend is still alive and he has to fight him
It can be seen that his friend no longer has a heart
He does not give up the fight against the war that sucks every ounce of chakra he has in his body
He loses his eye again
It can be seen that two of his students were fighting a fucking god
God will finish them soon

His best friend saves him again and this time he dies again.
After all, his student is still talking about the revolution and hurting another of his students as he goes forward and fights against another ...
And after all that ... He is still a good and modest man ..
Don't forget he became the hokage.... His greatest achievement was still being the leader of the original team 7,student of the fourth, son of white fang, all of which resulted into ultimate peace, future legends, and a life for him to look forward to. (All this without a kekkei genkai or huge chakra reserves)

Everybody always talks about how much pain passed through Obito or Itachi, and yes, they did, but almost nobody sees what Kakashi had suffered.
I mean, he literally lost everything, killed without want it the last friend he had left and passed through a dark and lonely era as an Anbu.
He had a miserable life, even more than Obito, but he didn't turn evil and destructive, and he still smiles and tries to save the village.
I think he is a really underrated character, especially in the last episodes of the war in Naruto Shippuden, where he was always being saved without been able to do anything. He is more than that, he is one of the best shinobis of Konoha and I think Kishimoto couldn't show all of his potential...

I never realized how emotional this was for kakashi until this showed me, losing all your friends as a child and thinking you were the cause for one of them. How he pushed through and became such a great leader and teacher just wow.

He blames himself for Sakumos suicide, for Rin and Obtios death, for Sasuke leaving the village, for Itachis mass murder (because he thought he knew him well, but he didn't), for Minato and Kushinas death, because he watched over her while she was pregnant, for so many things he couldn't do anything against..

I have to say... while I stopped liking Naruto quite some time ago the Kakashi: Shadow of the Anbu Black Ops fillers redeemed it a bit in my eyes. It actually shows the anbu in detail, the dark nature of their missions, the type of people they bring in and the unsettling background of Kakashi himself. It truly was a well written arc and its a shame that the series as a whole couldn't be more like it.
Tell me about it..Idk if you still read the manga but Misashi is making it up as he goes & to me that is just terrible. But I mean in general the idea of Naruto is a good story & idea. Though he doesn't give many of the characters introduced much depth and that sucks..cuz when they die its like...Um aight..Then you just go about it. Though there was a few...Like Neji but the anime didn't really give that sensation when I read the manga. Manga I cried D:

I do still read the manga, though only because I have invested so much time into it that I feel like it would be a waste to quite now. I can see what you mean. Misashi has been making this up as he goes for a while now and due to that the story is full of inconsistencies and it comes off as just plain sloppy writing. Overall I would say the main idea behind it isn't a bad one but not necessarily a great one either. Some of the characters are pretty good and a very select few are great imo. I don't much care for the main group or rather I don't care for Naruto or Sakura because Naruto's character is painfully static, his personality remains the same for about 90% of the story and when it does change its only slightly and thats only because the entire world is on the brink of being enslaved. Meanwhile Sasuke shows good development early on and some small changes later but they kind of botched it later on in the series by making him flip flop so much. Kakashi was always good and the development in Kakashi Gaiden and now Shadow of the ANBU Black Ops has pretty much been perfected.
As for side characters the akatsuki members and neji take that pretty well while most of the others are pretty flat excluding a few of the major villains like Orochimaru or Zabuza.

Naruto is shonen, it can't be like that. Obito's background isn't shonen either but it passed through. I'm sure Kishi wanted their pasts to be a bit more gruesome and more logical and detailed but you can't do all of that in shonen series, you have to apply to the general population and that means something shallow, though there are a lot of subliminal deep details in the story people don't catch.

We all should congratulate Kakashi. He lost so many people when he was young. Yes, he went through a phase of giving into depression, but he was able to accept the fact that he still has friends and his students. They all helped Kakashi see the light, thus making him realize there is a better future. Next to Naruto, and Itachi, I respect Kakashi because of this.

Itachi - The Man who had to slaughter his entire clan, and even his own family, leaving the village and his precious he adored so much.
Or...
Kakashi - Who's Father killed himself, not knowing his mother, Obito died (He Thought) under a rock, and killed the person who we swore to protect with his own two hands. Having flashbacks and trying to get over the fact of that moment of killing Rin. And then Minato dies leaving Kakashi completely alone.
It's pretty hard... but to me the question is...
What's worse, killing people you love the most or losing them?
I would say Kakashi had/has it harder because, where as Itachi is very mentaly strong, could handle it somewhat. Kakashi had nightmares almost every night, and he could never get over all the loses he had.

I'm late but Kakashi didn't have a choice, Itachi did. Itachi chose his path, Kakashi just ran into it. I'd say Kakashi had it worse because he couldn't choose another alternative, even with Obito in his current state now(anime). It's rough having to fight someone you modeled your life around (him frequently being late now, and teaching Naruto and company the important of helping old people and the motto Obito taught him). He was a hero in Kakashi's eyes and now he had to fight him? crazy

kakashi is my fav character. I really like so much the fact that they made this arc for kakshi. His past is sincerely a piece of art; with its ups and downs. But i still wonder how the hell kakashi`s changed from being a serious-punctual-responsible shinobi to a cool- relaxed sensei???

Obito`s words and his guilt for killing Rin made him change his approach to being a shinobi.

I feel sorry for Kakashi... When he was young, his mother was dead... His father committed suicide after being shunned. Then he gets in a Ninja team as a Jonin, feeling that pain has tempered him stronger, only to have EVERYONE in that team die* Feeling like Obito and Rin were both HIS fault, and his master and his master's wife both die protecting their child, then later the only people he has to look up to anymore, Sarutobi and Jiraiya, both die as well, and I'm sure for a while, he was scared Naruto and Sasuke would kill each other too. It's no wonder he didn't get close to people like Asuma, Kurenai, and Guy, with what he'd been through, he probably would have thought they would just all die too.

Kakashi is my favorite Anime charector of ALL time. He is the best charector in Naruto, yes. To me he has the deepest story, it is like a roller coaster. He is so emotional, and sarcastic, I LOVE IT! He is really cute, and really smart, and very inclined. He is that charector that every girl wants to be real. If he was real I WOULD NOT take my eye off him. He would be my husband, Anyways, good job on the video. I really liked it. In Naruto, I think Saske is a little like Kakashi, in the story. He has some hard times, they both lose friends, and family. They both take hard throwbacks. Kakashi is my overall Favorite. When they showed his real face i was like WOW. I didn't expect that. I know they NEVER did, they were only drawings, but still, Its a shocker. It made him look fiercer, and in a good way. I love Kakashi, and this video really shows the true him. Great job!
