  • Billie Eilish also shared that when she is singing or performing, her tics are not typically present.
Tourette’s has been shown to improve with the use of music (in general - not always) and also when people are engaged in focused activities (like her performances). However, fatigue, stress, and pressure can make symptoms worse.
As a licensed clinician who built her platform on being honest about her own struggles, seeing celebrities opening up about their mental health / neurological / physical conditions is something I actively look for and want to share with you all. We are not alone and you can make your dreams come true.
For more information on Tourette’s, here are a few of my favorite accounts that cover this topic:

NOTE: Tourette’s is a complicated condition and this video is not an exhaustive list of the causes, symptoms, or treatments.

This was such a great video. I had no idea she had Tourette’s syndrome and I learned a lot from their interview and your commentary. I really love seeing those kinds of deep, open conversations. Outside of Trevor Noah, so much of the interviews with well known people stay pretty shallow. Sometimes that’s fine, but these kinds of conversations are so important. I’m happy Billie found such a healthy outlet. 💖

I think I have it and I’m so embarrassed by it. I’ve just learned to mask it and try to tic when people look away. I’m kind of even too embarrassed to tell my doctor to see if there’s treatment. I totally relate to it being exhausting.

Does she have Tourette’s or persistent motor tic disorder? A bunch of videos I have seen only discussed the motor tics without any mentioning of vocal.

I didn't know that Tourettes could present differently, before I assumed it was always obvious, constant and extreme

Yesh, Tics and Tourette's are so misunderstood unfortunately. Tics can be very mild, or moderate, or severe. Its different for every person who suffers from it. There is so much out there to learn! :)

I blame TV and movies because whenever a TV or movie character has tourette they always show more extreme cases

She's (Quantum) entangeled with people to throw hate or have alot of cortisol... she may have alot of anxiety and that actually lowers her frequency and becomes possessed by people at a distance whom she is connected Telepathically.. its when they see her as something she really doesn't want to be... Ultimately she needs alot more love than we realize and love can bring her to a higher frequency and some could say god...

Hi! I'm a music artist myself and hope to really get out in the open soon...
I have tics as well, kind of like billie with the neck and similar stuff.
What bothers me a lot is, lewis Capaldi also has it and we have such compassion for him because he's famous but if it were an ordinary person we laugh and mock (internally) and sometimes to their face.
I firmly believe that a lot of the tics are too do with vaccines, and all the crazy stuff in the air nowadays...
They don't have a cure for it, which makes me wonder...

love the video, but your video kinda led it seem tourette’s syndrome is a mental health condition. Tourette syndrome is neurological so it is a disorder of the nervous system.

this is a great video but you keep referring to tourettes as a mental health condition but its really more neurological, not a mental disorder .
