She is such a brave, and wonderful young lady. Have been following her for some time, her positivity and wonderful personality really is wonderful, and she can be so proud of herself.
Baylen, you are an inspiration and will be an asset in the medical field! Remember that you can pursue your dreams -- just keep an open mind about how they may manifest. You may or may not be able to do some kinds of nursing -- but that doesn't mean you can't be of such help and value in some version of that role. You can do it - you have a lot to offer. I wish you all the best!
Atleast she accomplishes her dreams of being a nurse regardless of wether or not she can work in that field. She has will, courage, and thats good for her. She is blessed with loving parents and thank God they can help her.
I saw a video of an Australian girl with severe Tourettes syndrome. it was very uncomfortable and painful for her but she was so lively and confident ...she had thin electrodes planted in her brain during the surgery. it cured her almost 90 to 95 per cent. Might be this lady can opt for that surgery? Wishing her all happiness in the world.

I have autism, Tourette syndrome and depression. I have a vocal tic where I clear my throat and cough, which really sucked during Covid. And growing up the teachers would glare at me because they thought the noises I was making was me trying to disturb the class and I was branded the class clown. Which was stupid and the tics were something I couldn’t control. Seeing this video I am amazed at the courage of Baylen. So inspiring. I would never have the courage to talk about it on television, let alone on TikTok. I have other tics that aren’t as noticeable as the vocal tics. I pop my shoulder out. When I was a kid I would bend over and stretch my back this weird way as I walked. And I had a tic with my leg where it would kick out as I walked. It went away on its own somehow, along with the back one. My neck tic went away when I was a kid but came back. I have no idea what makes certain tics happen and not others. I was diagnosed at a very early age.
HAPPY EASTER BAYLEN, remember when you are having a bad day, you are not alone, we all have issues in our lives and the ones that appear the most normal sometimes have the most and worse issues, They hide them. In a way you are blessed in that people see yours and we like you anyway. SO you know that you are assepted and liked as who you are. WE LIKE THE REAL YOU.
I got a mild case where I blink and have a head shake tic that just happens and can't control it, I used to be embarrassed about and did my best to suppress it but I've learned to accept it and more people around me are accepting it, it sucks but God has us all here for a special reason.
not to be insensitive, but I wouldn't want her putting in a cath, IV, an injection of any sort, trying to move a patient or support a patient, give CPR, clean a trach, adjust oxygen, adjust a drip, make a blood draw, use a tongue blade, turn a patient, or empty a colostomy bag with those violent tics. Unfortunately it's incredibly unsafe for every one of her patients if her disease is so progressed. She could go into nursing research but to encourage someone with this disability to go into nursing is cruel and basically utterly irresponsible just because we're afraid to tell someone no in this day and age. (from an RN)
Totally agree. It's kind of odd they don't recommend another helping profession (since she seems adamant) like Social Work instead. I'm one and at least the main worry is not having someone unalive themselves - especially what kind you go into. She could very easily be a social worker and even get focused in Tourettes etc. Maybe they just don't know the options. I feel like if I was her I would choose something fulfilling but realistic and can do volunteer work on the side.
There are other avenues where a nursing degree can be used; administrativs, public healthy, scholarly research, education, preventative medicine. But you are indeed right, passing a nursing school would require competence in said practical avenues.
She is beautiful without makeup. If she wants to be a nurse, that may be a problem. Nurses use needles in their profession. There is a high burnout in the nursing field. It's extremely stressful.
I feel for her, poor girl. I also feel that maybe her parents should be more realistic about career goals. It would be crushing for her to get through a good portion of schooling and not be able to pursue a career in nursing. Unless the symptoms lesson, she already needs daily help with things like brushing her hair; I can't imagine that she'd be able to do something like insert an IV or just take vitals from the way her tics are. Maybe a therapist or something similar in a field of care? Wishing her all the best. :(
She definitely can, not all nurses have to place IVs or take vitals. In my clinic the medical assistants take vitals and insert IVs. The nurse helps with diabetic education, etc.
Bayley you are real God bless you You would be a true help and speaker in this world for others not only with Turettes, but struggling with other problems So special you are.
2:33 I feel like that one could be a hook in a song, just sayin. She is brave and very strong. It's insane to me that some people actually think she is faking this, because imagine all the bullying and teasing she has endured. I wish her all the best, and the most fulfilling life possible.
My 13 year old son is subscribed to her tik tok he loves watching her….. he showed myself and my mother her tik toks now we all enjoy following her life story very strong girl
I don't understand why ppl can be so cruel...I don't have tics but it is NOT ok to EVER to make fun of someone with them bc you never know what they go through bc it honestly sad seeing ppl just like me and you struggling with Tourettes.
This is so bizarre. I mean I totally get involuntary tics, I had some as a child. But the idea that your brain, without any input from you, chooses specifically things that are obscene, offensive and inappropriate, primarily of a vulgar or sexual nature like references to genitalia and such, rather than repeating more innocuous phrases. It's all pretty hard to swallow. I don't know about "cute", that doesn't even make sense, but surely you can see why people think it's fake.
Just because your symptoms are different doesn’t mean she is faking it. They only show half of the entire interview and too be honest I feel like Dr. Phil only posted this portion to make a conversation if she was faking it not. This interview is much longer and if you were to watch it in its entirety, the discussion about if she was faking it or not, wouldn’t be as obvious. I had my doubts but actually found the WHOLE segment and feel like the show did this on purpose to drive up views. If I’m wrong then why not just post the entire length?!
It's crazy how we're controlled by our brain and a lot of things we think are in control just aren't. Health is a blessing and shouldn't be taken for granted.
See even Dr.Phill even said. You're so courageous and that inspires people. I've watched many of her videos, some more recent she goes through almost the whole thing without anything out of the ordinary like just a normal girl. Yet others are so over the top with the constant swearing and "sayings". Some have said she does this on purpose to get more likes/subs/views, like she exploits her condition. She does make money off of all the videos/UA-cam/TikTok etc. I do not have Tourettes but I do have many issues with autoimmune disorders, nerve disease, and other issues and would never exploit my own health for popularity or money. Others with Tourettes have also said how themselves or others they know with it have never acted like that. So its probably her family and herself making it so over the top so she makes more money getting more views/likes/sponsorships/ subs, etc. Even though now she is an adult she still is not fully functioning alone so her parents surely must get a cut of all the money she makes.
Realistically not everyone has the capability of being a nurse. Someone who cannot control their motor skills and such a severe case of tourettes could unfortunately kill someone. Yeah I remember reading this comment from someone claiming to be a nurse who said that she would love to work with her. WHY on THIS show was she talking so much more NORMAL, than when she does a VIDEO snd the focus is entirely on HER and she 'ACTS OUT' pretty bad? Makes you wonder.
I mean I have Tourette’s and when I’m super focused on something my tics go away. It may not be the same case with her but I could definitely see a nurse, paramedic, etc having Tourette’s. The only problem really is society’s view on it.
@@justinsilverstein6278 well for her defense, I'd like to point out how hard it'd be for normal people to do the muscle spasms she's managing, even if she's faking (high doubt) she should have an incredible control of her body to do them.
My oldest friend had this! He didn’t verbalize at all, but had ticks with his facial expressions! He would make strange facial expressions. He would make strange facial expressions.
Me and a couple of classmates in class were doing a presentation on Tourette’s for our anatomy class, and we use this video in the presentation. As soon as 2:10 played, we all burst out laughing and the teacher just stared blankly at us.
So I've recently stumbled onto her TT and the only reason why I began following her is because she's from the same state as me. I saw a video where she said that she didn't want people laughing at her but with her. People are accusing her of faking. I am on neither team (faking vs. not) I'm just legit curious about something, though. She recently opened a merch store that advertises her ticks. Raising awareness is one thing, but why would you use something that people literally laugh at you for?
I'm on neither side too but you questioning why she'd make merch about her tics because "people will laugh at her" is directly stating she's not allowed to embrace her tics simply because some people may be uneducated or ignorant. You also recited her saying she wanted people to laugh WITH her rather than AT her so your comment is just double confusing.
@@darkb4light06 I never said you weren't allowed to be all over the place, I'm just saying your question is stupid :). But alas, "you're allowed to ask stupid questions" I suppose. Ask stupid questions recieve stupid answers. Get real.
I mean, why not? If she's fine with it, good on her. She's taking something that can be considered a "weakness" and making money out from it, that's quite amazing and very smart. Many comedians with disabilities use their personal experiences with their struggles in their job as well and it's fair to say that it is not for everyone, but that's why it is, after all, their choice that relies heavily upon their own sense of self-irony. If people are gonna laugh at you no matter what, making them literally pay for it can't be blamed.
I find it very suspect that her ticks ramp up every time the show isn't talking to her. Dr. Phil starts talking to someone else and suddenly she's ticking like crazy.
I’ve been watching baylen i have William syndrome and ticks and I’m going back to college this year and I’m really excited when i have a bad day i tick so bad when i have a good day i don’t tick as much 😘

Until one day, out of the blue she told me we were done ..
I've never recovered, but I still wish her the best.
She is precious❤️
Hi Dr. Phil I don't produce any testosterone and ive been living my life since i was born like this till 2017 when i began t.r.t. its hard to live without medication and when doctors try to help, they want to put me in abtidepresents...but they wont preacrive me trt...since it clams my extreme depression that i live with all my life...thanks for all the great videos you post of extraordinary people
Bless this sweetheart ❤️ it’s hard to imagine how difficult every day life must be. 👍❤️👍
This girl has more courage than I do and I too wish her all the luck she's a beautiful soul and the world could use more people like her and she has an amazing family and boyfriend 🙂❤😁
shes so pretty omg
People that think this is genuine makes me sad for the future.
Oh shut up. You can't prove anything
@@aaronjames3228 neither can she.
@@raginggamer7207 she's not obligated to nor should she have to
@@aaronjames3228 If she's profiting from pretending, she's absolutely obligated, princess.
Its got to be exhausting for her i just think shes beautiful and such a sweet girl
My dogs freaked out during the "putting on the makeup" part.... I had to play it again for them... haha!!
WHY on THIS show was she talking so much more NORMAL, than when she does a VIDEO snd the focus is entirely on HER and she 'ACTS OUT' pretty bad? Makes you wonder.
Because she’s 💯 bullshitting us for money
She knows cussing people will watch more
I mean I have Tourette’s and when I’m super focused on something my tics go away. It may not be the same case with her but I could definitely see a nurse, paramedic, etc having Tourette’s. The only problem really is society’s view on it.
How did he keep a straight face ? I bet he was dying inside
I love this girl!
Damn I may have Tourette’s 😂
wow everyone actually believes her?
I mean until theres evidence proving otherwise we cant really say anything
@@meh.its_bleh Until there's evidence proving it yes we can. You've seen her official diagnosis?
@@justinsilverstein6278 well for her defense, I'd like to point out how hard it'd be for normal people to do the muscle spasms she's managing, even if she's faking (high doubt) she should have an incredible control of her body to do them.
So when did you get doctorate degree, does she happen to be your patient? Do you know her and her family personally?
Time to meet your grand son Dr. Phill!
I love it when baylen says your done great girl so pretty
Imagine living with this illness it must be so difficult
Wind it up
My oldest friend had this!
Thank you for helpings me and others understand what touretts is. Education takes the fear out and fills me with the want to study and understand ❤
The new Jerry Springer aka DR Phil
Why isn’t she doing all that on dr Phil?
Billie Eilish has tourettes and suppresses it probably because it's the media she's around.
@@xxbluestar_j4yx_x And?? 🤣 I'm allowed to be all over the place.
She obviously can't hold a real job she has to make money somehow. Nothing wrong with that at all
I find it very suspect that her ticks ramp up every time the show isn't talking to her. Dr. Phil starts talking to someone else and suddenly she's ticking like crazy.
Because you have tourettes?
She's definitely putting on a show and making it worse than it is.
Learn about Tourette’s before you judge an innocent person. Education is always the wise choice before making an uninformed statement
@@hazelstreet1654 do you have Tourette's? I don't think you do too judge her like that
@@hazelstreet1654 people always have something bad to say looking from the outside-in but when it happens to you then what
Imagine her as your delivery nurse. Wind it up! It's a tiny baby weener! Your done!
That would be a blast🎉
Your new grandson has passed you in subs (Ryan Trahan)
I’ve been watching baylen i have William syndrome and ticks and I’m going back to college this year and I’m really excited when i have a bad day i tick so bad when i have a good day i don’t tick as much 😘
I deal with it. What am I going to do.
This was hilarious, it's always cool to see others who deal with tourettes and listen to their story and whatnot.
Haha makeup. One of the most beautiful girls I've seen, girl you don't need make-up, and I can appreciate that you want to.
You have love and support from me ❤️.
So beyond fake!!!! It's amazing how when Dr Phil was talking about how brave she was and how great she is she never screamed out she never did the one none of that stupid s*** but when you watch her on tick tock it's constant. If you can't tell that this girl is putting on then you're crazy she may have little ticks or whatever but all that other nonsense no she's putting it on and everybody is eating it up
Can someone tell me why she says “you’re done”
Cause she has Tourette’s and probably heard it on the internet and it stuck with her
She heard it from somewhere and now it's a tic that her tourette's picked up
Dr Phil looking higher than the ISS
“Your done” as she pulls the plug on the breathing machine
What's her sleep routine like like to see it is it normal?
She is very cute!!
I read a post on UA-cam that she was "faking it"
Cartman did it
First and better
Mexican sticky balls lmfao
I cried during that episode
I remember I was watching it with my exes 11 yr old son
I fell off the couch crying
Love baylen on tik tok !!!!!!
