    Wow!!! All I can say is wow!!!! I just got done watching this entire build series and your attention to detail is by far nicer than most new construction homes that are built today. When I’m ready to build my dream garage I know exactly who I’m paying to build it. Beautiful work. You should be very, very,very proud of yourself and your crews. Thanks for the videos and keep up the amazing work.

    There is just something blissfully peaceful about watching concrete being poured, worked, just the craft that goes into something that NO ONE in the actual world ever thinks about. I first stood in awe on one of my first construction projects, I stood in amazment as my coworkers just sauntered passed. Love it. Oh yeah, paused the video to make this comment, so I'm gonna go back to watching haha.

    Yeah this is definetly a dream shop. Room for equipment, yardwork supplies, multiple project vehicles, enough height for a lift, all the toolboxes and tooling. Someday soon I'll be having a smaller 20x30 shop built but I'm sure it already isn't enough lol.

    Very nice shop! I really like the lean-to on both sides with an office space because that makes it so much more useful and versatile. A lean-to also keeps bigger things that can be stored outside the shop walls from taking up valuable floor space. Can't go wrong with in-floor radiant heat even if you don't use it right away, it will be there. We did the same in our shop and it was a year or so until the boiler was installed but, no regrets on radiant heat.....it is wonderful! Your attention to detail is top notch and makes all the difference with a build like this. The color choices are a slam dunk and the owner seemed to know what he wanted in a building, which helps too. Great job!

    • @forry100
      @forry100 5 років тому

      Very surprised they only did half the shop with floor heat. We have had it over 20 yrs at our farm shop, love it. Neighbor build a shop, but cut out the floor heat because of the cost of the boiler. First winter he was in his shop and ours has regretted that he did not at least install the pex piping and worry about the boiler and operation later. Have another neighbor that installed it in their wash bay to melt ice, swears we are lying when we claim we only use the floor heat. My old house will have floor heat when we remodel it.

    • @wvrockcrusher
      @wvrockcrusher 5 років тому +1

      In-floor radiant is no joke! No regrets here at all. I do suggest a floor sensing thermostat as a must and don't skimp on the insulation under the floor or otherwise, just use common sense. Floor heat is all we use in our 50x70 shop with 14' ceilings and a second floor level and I can tell you it is more than enough heat even at sub-zero temps. No dust blowing around or some noisy furnace to listen to all the time either which is a plus.

    • @forry100
      @forry100 5 років тому

      @@wvrockcrusher we insulated under our floor. Building shell by Morton, but we did all the finish work. At my home I plan to heat the approach to my garage and the front porch and walk to the parking area. A farmer an hour away heated his outside pad and has done well with it. Of course not on all the time, only when needed a few times through out the winter.

    When you build something like this, it becomes your pride and joy, your legacy, knowing that you built a building that will last for generations, and probably outlive you yourself (barring some unlikely event, like a tornado). The uses for it are seemingly endless. Great job. P.S. - Is the soundtrack the band "Nickle Creek"? I think I have that CD.

    Being as it's been almost a year since this was first posted, I'm sure somebody has told you this, but in case nobody has. The slump of the concrete is how much water is mixed into it. A 5 inch is about mid range. A 1 inch slump is very dry and tight, a 12 inch slump is very wet and loose. Just in case you didn't know, now you do.
