We will be looking at a pure Elden Ring Samurai build in this video, going through everything you need to get your hands on to put the build together in what is essentially the ultimate guide for it and this build will deal huge damage utilizing both the Nagakiba and the Uchigatana katana setting them up in dual wield. This is also an Elden Ring dex build because we're not going to be focusing on the rivers of blood, bleed through blood loss or even arcane although arcane and even a little bit of faith are needed to put this Elden Ring build together. That and every time a strong build gets labeled “overpowered” by the community it gets nerfed into oblivion. I’ve had TWO characters level 70+ get ruined by nerfs

@@emile5921 Exactly! I wanna be a samurai, but I don't wanna have to hit the square button 200 times before each fight. Right now my samurai is a level 45 with 20 Vigor, 24 Dex, and 18 Str. I'm going for 23 Intelligence, so I can finally use the Moonveil Katana.

@@pacman5511 yea bro this is my favorite playstyle, honestly. Unsheathe is so satisfying especially with bloodflame blade. I think I'm almost a level 150, and I ended up having an Arcane build instead of an Intelligence. I play with daggers and other incantations from time to time, as well.

Hello, I would just like to let you know this build was brilliant for me. I didn't use the armour but the rest of it I used for the majority of my first playthrough (especially the double slash, that has saved me more times than I can count). I watched and made your build a week ago, and now I have completed the game. With this build I killed every boss from the fire giant to the elden beast. In fact, I only found this build after struggling with melenia and realising that I needed to revamp my character,. Thankfully after doing this I was able to beat her. I was level 150 at the time. So again, thanks a bunch and keep up the great work, you earnt yourself a subscriber.

@@AlexisSanchez-bb2hq Since using this build, I have edited it a bit as well as levelled up to 185 but I can still give you an idea of what you want your points into. So my base damage for Nagakiba is 599, I could increase this further but my dexterity level is 80, after this damage only increases by 1 per point, so not worth it. My vigor is 40, mind 26 (this gives you room to use incantations as well as your ash of war without using as many flasks), endurance is 38 (I added points here because I felt more stamina was better, you can make it 30 as that is what I had for the majority of the time). Next is Strength, I left it at 20, because it does not change the damage of the katanas by anything at all, I only have it on that so I can use the weapon (18 strength is the actual requirement, but I have 20 so I can try other weapons out as a lot require 20 strength to use). Intelligence is at 10, faith really depends on what you are angling towards, I have 40 points in it, but that is because I am using the black knife(for longer range attacks) and it scales with that. HOWEVER, you do need 25 faith for this build, so you can move the 15 points elsewhere e.g., vigor if you want to, up to you. Arcane is at 10. So like I said, im level 185, but you can easily turn it to a 150 level build with all the extra points I have added to not as necessary things e.g., the 8 in stamina, 15 in faith and 2 in strength. Back to the damage of the Nagakiba, when I apply the 3 buffs, golden vow, flame grant me strength, and bloodflame blade, I reach 947 damage on my nagakiba. BTW I am using the finger seal for incantations, the one you get from the twin maiden husks. Talismans are optional really, up to preference, you can use the video ones or use ones that fit your own playstyle. For the physick, I use the crimson crystal tear and the opaline bubbletear. This is because I have already hit the cap for dexterity, so increasing it further wont make much difference and I have enough stamina that regen isnt as big a problem. By using health and damage negation, it basically just means that if you get hit by something that would one shot you or do significant damage, it just stops you dying while at the same time healing you so I like that combination (It has helped my survive many situations). Anyway good luck with whatever you choose I just hope this was atleast somewhat helpful!

For the teardrop scarab you can snipe it with any type of bow to make sure you won’t have to chase it off the branches if you miss melees

This Will get very relevant for me when rivers of blood gets nerfed. But I will probably try it on my bleed Rex build with minimum faith to pull this off

I might try this but I also recommend using an intelligence combo of the moonveil and meteoric ore blade. Uses quite a few fp but it’s what I’ve seen people beat melania with

One question I had: is it worth waiting until the Zamor Ruins to kill Yura/Shabiri for the Ronin Armor set, or is it just not really worth the wait?
oh also, would power stancing dual uchigatana (I started as Samurai because I'm a fucking weeb) work okay if I do wait to kill Yura? Seems like the extra range from Nagakiba is really good but not *necessary* for the build, unless I'm missing something (which is entirely possible).

@@harjutapayou can use two uchis, the stats on the naga and uchi are very similar. People prefer the naga because it is longer and thus has more range. Imo, I always go for the ronin armor. But just a tip, yura will respawn possessed by shabriri in the mountain tops even if you kill him, so dont worry about that

@@remzo2713 against pve hands of melania is useless. Little shuts swat me out of the air like a fly. Something that requires thst much dex investment shouldnt be just for pvp.

Just one question. I see there is 30 points set into intelligence are those part of the build or just some extra points you put down. Trying to use this build and I'm using faith for the incantation spells that I understand but not the Intelligence part. Thanks in advance.

just wondering, should i be utilizing the nagakiba's aow more often or the powerstance moveset? i noticed that the dual wield hits do more damage and seem to be less punishing since i have to usually tank a hit or two when using double slash, also it feels slower (i think it is) than the rivers of blood aow. so when should i be using which (double slash vs left bumper attacks)
By the way, you should really make a claws-build. They're ridiculously strong, fast and stun extremely well.

I have this very build. I don’t buff for every single encounter like some of the comments are saying. I buff for enemies that clap my cheeks and bosses that clap my cheeks. I don’t do it for many field encounters as it makes it too easy. I just one had my Nag, as my potato brain won’t look past that Samurais didn’t duel weird katanas.
Even after following this build, and matching my stats too the specific requirements, my Spells are still greyed out in the bottom right corner. Can anyone enlighten me as too why, I’m very confused

I'm new on Elden Ring playing as a samurai, i have no idea how to use faith skills, still. I have loads of them, but can't use any of them. Am i doing somthing wrong? Do i need to talk a certain npc to activate them. They're in the top slot darken out, not bright like in this video.
i have a similar build for my dual daggers. recently changed my right hand misericorde from keen to blood affinity and got rid of the bloodflame blade. what has more bleed build up/ dmg a bleed affinity or a native bleed with blood flame?

Good build, best tho idk about that. Honestly I would slap on bloodhound dash to make up for those really poor defenses. Idk if you have pvp in mind but those look like the stats of people I 1 or 2 shot.

Dexterity my guy. Arcane if you’re thinking about bleed build up. I’m using a moonveil katana with a uchigatana cold infused in my left hand. I farmed that dumb bird and are level 134 with plus 15 and 4 weapons

It’s a pretty quick quest line and the weapons you get are cool so I’d say it’s worth it

or did you mean you like pick between the two when you get them and therefore can’t have both

Any katana in the game, you could also try a curved sword or dagger but it won’t be the same. Either that or go through to journey 2 when you can grab another Uchigatana or even another Nagakiba 👍

@ivanqueija39 he just switches between his offhand katana and a seal. You can't combine them but you can equip up to 3 things in your offhand and just switch between them using the left directional button

Obviously this is personal, but i really don't like buffing. It completely ruins the flow of combat. Especially incantations like Flame, grant me strength, that only last 30 seconds.
Also, the Rivers of Blood Ash of War has more range, than the Nagakiba with Double Slash.

According to this: eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Sacred+Seals, only the Frenzied Flame Seal scales with dex, right?
I guess so based on the wiki but for lightning incantations they get a big boost from the gravel stone seal. Passive effects help much more than the scaling with seals 👍
