I agree cats are not stupid, I have never had one pull the floor vent and go in the vent I have seen them do a lot of other stuff though. Thanks for the comment. Ken
@KathrinHausermann yes I have been thinking on securing the vent down but neither one of my cats have done anything like that before but I put them in a stressful situation and she just didn’t want to be locked in a small space and I will never do that again. Thanks for the comment. Ken
@Blynat yeah she would have moved that, I put the cat litter box over it and left the room for about 5 minutes and she had that pulled about halfway off the vent 😂. Thanks for the comment. Ken

You need to put the scale over the vent.
