This looks like a nicely machined gimbal. It's terrific that you stressed both the negatives and the positives in equal measure. Another honest and comprehensive review on another intriguing piece of gear. Well done Maaten!
Thanks for your review. UA-cam reviews are a jungle where good part of the reviewers act as salespeople rather than real reviewers. I am looking for a first gimbal and saw you whilst browsing . A real reviewer! I knew I could trust you so I watched your review. I always liked to read manuals (from the time when you actually got a complete printed manual with the camera) and the lack of information about the operation of this Scorp is something that I don't like. I do like the shape/design and will take that into account before making my decision. Actually, I would have already ordered a Moza Air 2S but the problem is that I live in the UK and the gimbal will ship from Amazon US so return, if necessary , will be a hassle so I am considering gimbals shipped by Amazon UK. One note on reliability of reviews on UA-cam: Ten reviewers got a free kit with the Shiftcam new series of lenses for iPhones. The kit was worth $1,200 plus shipping and heavy taxes (if outside the US). Shiftcam does not provide lens caps for their lenses. Not a single reviewer criticised that or even mentioned that. They are salespeople, not reviewers. You are a real reviewer. Thanks for that. P.S, It seems that you stopped posting reviews?
Nice professional concise and informative presentation. I have just obtained the Scorp - C (the one without the LCD screen) and it works just as you described unfortunately, I am experiencing noise from the motors intruding on audio when in video mode. balancing is perfect as well as motor calibration Have you noticed this with your Scorp. Many thanks.
Thanks for your kind words. I don't use the internal mic for much except occasional background ambiance. I would suggest that if audio is important to you that you consider using external mics.
@@MaartenHeilbron followed your suggestion using a small hot shoe bar screwed into just below the hand grip. I mounted a stereo mic.....it eliminates the gimbal motor noise....Best regards. Alan.
Dear Maarten, thanks for another great video. I checked the price on Amazon and it's a little high. I have some smartphone gimbals from same brand and are great but I think will pass on this one for now. I'm looking for one small and portable for my Canon m6 mark II. Have a nice day!
Great review. I have the Feiyutech AK2000c gimbal. I think it's great gimbal for the sale price that I paid. Also got the auxiliary handle for it. The handle comes with an allen wrench that has a magnetic storage location.
I'm no longer using this unit, I didn't find that the battery drained quickly. I'd check your balance, as an unbalanced gimbal will use up batteries very quickly.
You are the soul of true fairness in Media, sir. Excellent feature rundown, though I would like to understand its value proposition in the market compared to similarly mysterious Chinese gimbals…or in more brief terms…”how much does it cost?” Is it really just for APSCand smalller, or would you say it can handle something like an A7C or A7 with a plasticky lens?
I won't be able to answer that with authority until my A7 IV arrives, but as that's the model FeiyuTech uses in their tutorial videos, it's likely designed to handle exactly that. With the A7 series cameras with a USB-C port, remote exposure control (but not focus) is available.
It has been 8 months since your video how had your feelings about the gimble changed? I am thinking about getting a gimble for my film work and wanted to know if this is a good buy because money is an option.
Please suggest a gimbal for Panasonic S1 camera which has 1kg body weight without lens. With lens it is 1.6kg. this gimbal seems small or less powerful
Great video! I have some experience with Chinese products and the problem is that they don't support their goods (firmware and etc) instead they come out new products. It's a pity little bit.
Although I have been dealing with the service@feiyu-tech.com with the assistance of their media contact, they have been helpful and reasonably responsive, as long as I remember they're 12 hours out from my time zone.

Good woman that. I paid through the nose for a Ronin S when it first came out and have since encountered a considerable amount of buyer's remorse. I really haven't used most of the higher end features if I am to be honest. Gear acquisition syndrome struck again. Great review and video as always, your cutaways are just pure class. Proud to be a member of yours.
Thanks so much for your kind words. Although there are some who seem to be able to use a gimbal for everything - I don't make much use of my Ronin-S either. No remorse though, it's a great unit, even if I don't use the advanced features, mostly all I want is stability for a moving shot. Always nice to see your avatar among the comments, thanks for your kind words.

This gimbal is light and easy to use, the shooting is smooth. Competative price. Thanks for sharing and reviewing!

I didn’t realize how I miss you Rooney until watching your video. Thank you, sincerely.
Wow, thank you, those are kind words indeed.
What makes me impressive is the scorpion outlook, ..Cool! Good to be able to know the gimbal from two sides, really want to see more footages.

Interesting. That doesn't seem to be a feature here, but I can't try as I've lost the key again.
Hi, Does your unit has a battery issue?? Like it drains from 100 to 75% to 50% at no time. and then it stays to 50 for a bit long and then 25%??

i just bought mu scrop. but when i turned on, the motors doen't work. all motor unlocked dan fully charged. can you help me?

I haven't used this one as I have a Ronin-S, which I'd recommend. Otherwise, my feelings haven't changed.
Really is interested but no way to bay it in my country
That's unfortunate.
How can I an external monitor on the Scorp C? Is there some accessorie?
The Scorp does not have any mounting point for external devices.
@@MaartenHeilbron In this case, can I put an accessorie at the bottom of handle (which can mount tripod). Like an DH03 L grip
@@asuhfarias Yes, an L-grip in the handle should work.

I'm not fully aware of all available products, however, the DJI Ronin seems suitable.

Sounds like a good pairing to me. It's about the same size/weight as the Sony 6xxx series.

I posted a comment but it was deleted! I criticised the reliability of reviews. on UA-cam whilst praising your reviews.
Which comment was deleted? Sorry to have been slow with replies while we were on holiday.
