I found on the pro that if you turn the axis 90 degrees from the balance position it is much smoother to shift the balance without it jumping and sticking.
Hi Jason, I love the videos, keep up the educating for us. I've a question regarding using a telephoto lens with an A7IV I shoot motorcycle racing and would love to mount the 70-200 F4 & A7IV on a gimbal for some stable footage Would the Scorp Pro be able to handle such a front heavy load? Apologies for the noob question
I looked into these gimbals for my a7iv, Scorp Pro best one right now in my opinion but what I don’t like about it is that you can’t mount your ninja on the top of the back handle like on the Weebill 2, because of the display being there. And soon there should be a new Ronin SC3 coming if you look at the release dates of the SC 1 and 2 so It’s worth waiting a bit
Are batteries user-replaceable? That has become a big issue for me. I avoid built-in batteries when I buy gear. Good practical demo and review. Cheers.
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema Thanks for that info, will take a look. I have older Feiyu a2000 gimbal and handle, that does have user replaceable batteries. I really don't like this built-in battery trend. It is a shame that the lifespan of our gear and its use in the field can be adversely affected by the component that is most likely to fail. Keeps us upgrading and buyin backup devices. Good for them, bad for us. Really enjoy your shows. Cheers.
Hi Jason thank you for your amazing contents and this one more review. Did you manage to check an eventual remote video transmission ? (Like ronin' s raveneye) Because the remote control looks really great and was wondering if there is another innovation on video. Thanks in advance for your feedback
Do you know anything about the SCORP C? Its super cheap and supports like 6 pounds! I almost bought it but went with RONIN instead... But im seriously considering this brand of gimbal.
Scorp-C is exactly the same as Scorp-Basic but without a touch screen, the main settings have been provided with buttons behind the handle, and for more detailed settings, you need an application on your cellphone.
@@DodiWijayantoit’s $173 on Amazon right now and I don’t mind using my phone and using buttons for a good gimbal at this price so I think I’m going to buy it for my a7iv
Hello, great review, as always! I would like to know if I could use the Scorp Mini with my Sony A7S III (700 gms) + Sony 16-35 lens (353 gms.) Would it work? I reckon yes because it's just over a kilo, right? Could you say that it is comparable to the Weebill S? Thank you!
I got the scorp PRO and for me i find it best to go in the menu and set the follow speed to custom. I have mine at 2 speed and 2 dead zone, its making my movments very smooth 🙏
your review is very good 👏👏👏 Would you know if the EOS R set with the canon 11-24 lens ( 1860g) would work well with the scorpion C or the scorpion pro would be better... Due to the load capacity in theory it should work but it will be which will be usable in all gimble features, because the 11-24 lens is heavy and because of its shape, it concentrates its weight right at the tip of the lens, which must require a lot of motors..
Hello Jason, thank you for the great video! This gimbal looks to be the perfect one for me as I am looking for one to put my a7s3 on with monitor and mattebox like you did in your video. Was this setup hard to balance and pushed the dimensions of the gimbal to the limit or was it an easy job with room to upgrade? Did you need to use such a huge battery for your monitor to make it balance? :) I would love to use this gimbal with the atomos shinobi and the sigma 24-70 f2.8 with a small matte box at the end.
I bought the FeiyuTech G6 Max gimbal in 2020 and it was just awful and had to return it. Granted, it was very affordable and had some great features, but it needed a firmware update and I would download it and it would never update the gimbal. Then after it was properly balanced and held correctly it would just randomly go nuts and shake violently. I decided that I just couldn't drop that much money on camera gimbals and hope they would perform well for an extended amount of time. So, this week I decided to get a very affordable gimbal so I can enjoy what they offer, learn the craft and have loads of fun while owning something I would be happy using for client work. I got the Hohem iSteady V2 phone gimbal for $99 (regularly $129). It offers AI tracking and you can use any camera or video app on your phone. All the other phone gimbals require their app and the DJI app is just awful for Android users. I also have the Pixel 6 Pro arriving today and can't wait to try Google's beast of a camera on this gimbal. Every review of the Pixel 6 Pro just amazed me at the quality of video and photos you can get out of a phone. I've been using a Pixel 3 and have absolutely loved it for at least 5+ years, but decided it was time for a major upgrade. I would love to hear your thoughts as to whether you would consider using a phone gimbal and if so, what your experience was like. Thanks for the great video as always!
GREAT review.. this one literally sold me on the Scorp Pro. Ordering now, via your link.
Congrats on 50k ! Well deserved !
Man!! I’m definitely selling my RSC 2 now!! Great video! Thanks for the review!
Hello, wonderful video, is the guibal still working perfectly after all this time?

Can you pls compare this to rs3 pro? Thanks
This look super dope and super practical....👌
They’re awesome for the price
I wish the detachable handle/remote had support for Gyroscope Motion Control.

Could you compare Scorp Pro to other Gimbal?

Built in batteries unfortunately for you. Not many do replaceable ones now. Zhiyun usually have them

How does this compare to dji rs2 ?
They’re very similar in performance. The RS2 certainly is very well built and they both have slight design differences
Hi. Great content. Can Scorp do Sony digital zoom on gimbal itself like weebill s?
What car mount was that?
Digitalfoto car mount

I’ve only got those bigger NPF batteries and no small ones haha. It was easy to balance for me
