Sorry guys!! That first shot running in the park was actually with the ZV-E10 and the Sigma 16mm 1.4 with the Scorp Mini. The kit lens would not give that much blur. The REST of the labels in the video are accurate though 🤪
@@sfisogwamanda2975 fixed it
How was your experience with Sigma 16mm 1.4 lens on this gimbal? Were is a few comments from FeiyuTech representatives on Kickstarter saying Sigma 16mm 1.4 is not supported at all due to size (especially length) of that lens...
that was going to be my question! I was hoping the sigma would work this well while moving quickly for the social media commercials I shoot! I'm sold!
This project on kickstarter is a fraud! You should delete the link from your description.
@@Sehyo Yes - I deleted the kickstarter link. They sell it on Amazon now. I have been very disappointed with the Feiyutech Kickstarter campaign. I have not accepted any more Feiyutech products for review because of it. Too bad - because their gimbals are good.
Scorp-Mini is super compact and lightweight, I think it is a perfect travel companion. I like the multi-function knob, it allows me to control movement from the gimbal to tilt up and down as well as pan left to right manually.
Mark, I can't stop thanking you. Bought both the ZV e10 and this gimbal, best reviews always!
Thanks for the comprehensive walk through!! I've subscribed and your like my camera dude!!! Canucks are always so nice. Keep up the good work!!
Much appreciated!
That’s creative with the screen on the handle. It looks really lite.
You've just answered every single question I had about M3 vs M2s vs Scorp mini. I thank you, kind sir. Love your work. 🕴
Great to hear!
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis PS. You've made a little typo in the title. "Fieyu.." vs "Feiyu.."
wow - thanks. Can’t believe I didn’t see that!!
Great review as always. Especially appreciate your thoughts comparing it to the competition.
Its a awesome early price but I can't convince myself to pick up a gimbal for my a7c.
Just an extra thing to setup when I already complain about hitting record on my sony compared to quickly pulling out my iphone.
Thats just for vlogging though so I can see how a gimbal would totally be worth it if I had more dedicated 'shoots' to setup for.
yes - do not get a gimbal unless you definitely need one. They take time to setup and use (and get good at using). For a lot of people they end up collecting dust.
I just got this gimbal and truth be told, it's my first gimbal that is motorized. Since it's my first gimbal, I had to learn to balance it. Maybe many other gimbals are easier to balance, but I had it done within a five minute window my first go. The more I do it, the better I'll get. I was super shocked at how fast I did it. I'm still learning in the ins and outs of it (not too sure I like the app very much yet). But all in all, this was a great first gimbal purchase.
Great video Mark and well explained. I have just got the Scorp-C and learning how to use it. This video has helped a lot!
Great to hear!
any suggestion scorp C or mini for zve10 ?
Thanks for your detailed review about its app and humorous beginning of it. Seems it's more suitable for using light setups. That's indeed a good one for travelling to record and vlog. 😏
Thanks for the detailed review.
Loving your videos, just found your channel recently, really great stuff
Awesome, thank you!
That park is always empty. Everyone goes home when Mark shows up with the cameras. "Here he goes again..." Oh, and she made me nervous too. Funniest and most informative channel on the UA-cams. Thanks Markus.
The run when they see me running with a camera. 😂
Nice. I don’t see a need for a gimbal yet for me but it’s good to know there are budget ones coming
You are the great comedian! Love your channel
I appreciate that!
The handle layout and that control wheels makes this look great for automotive video. Getting a walk up rolling shot on vehicles at an event would make some great transitions.
That does sound like good
That is by far the best footage of me ever captured 🤣
Honestly a fantastic gimbal! I might just need one!
well you have the R!! And you've never looked better.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I may just have to dislike this comment 😏
@@TheyMakeItLikeThat you wouldn’t be the first
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for the great presentation of the gimbal! Nice device! I'll buy that! Greetings from Germany! 🙂
Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦
Looks super stable with the ZV-E10! You have me sold on the Scorp Mini. It reminds me of a Weebill S, but smaller. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these! 😁
Oh - it's great. Harder to balance than my Zhiyun gimbals and a bit bulkier, but awesome in it's own right.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis True! I'm curious to see how well this will handle the 10-18mm F4 and inevitably an 18-105mm F4 for video production.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Update: I took the plunge and backed the Scorp Mini through Feiyutech's Kickstarter campaign. Can't wait until this arrives!
@@kieranwhitford well, how is it??? You have the zv-e10? How is it with it, and how does it handle larger lenses?
@@kieranwhitford Hi, how is it ? Is it compatible with those lenses that you want to try?
Thanks for the review always good to learn about new products you probably won't find yourself 🙂
yeah - it's a lot of fun for me too to find out what is out there and if it works
Great! Just got one!
Nice product.Nice price.A best choice for me to consider.
Great review, much appreciated it helps with my decision on KS platform
Glad I could help
Watched a few reviews of this gimbal and yours is by far the best Mark. Regarding the panorama mode in the app, I see there's a customize option. Can you tell me what options are available? I'm guessing it enables users to change the amount of rows and columns. Can the amount of overlap be adjusted? Does it support the burst/consecutive mode on the Sony cameras? I shoot astrophotography and use the feature that takes 5 consecutive long exposure shots. Would be handy if this gimbal supported those functions
Wow that is some really nice bokeh at beginning for a kit lens. Btw the best gimbal for the money is a hi spec expensive one that you borrow once in a while from a friend who's a retired pro.
that was actually the sigma 16!! I made a mistake. the rest of the vid is accurate, but that first shot was labelled wrong!!
so great video shooting and specify so clear about this Mini gimbal, i hope it will compatible with my Tamron New Lens 20-40mm F2.8
Marrrrrk! The new RS3 Mini just came out and the people need you to review it! Someday. 😊
DJI is really tough to contact!! But I'd love to. Might just buy it myself.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I mean if they know what’s good for them, they better be looking forward to you reaching out! 😎
Wow looks promising! Does it charge the ZV-E10 while its plugged in the gimbal?
Nice work mate!
you too - I watched yours before I did mine to make sure I wasn’t screwing anything up!!
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Haha thanks mate. I wish I could have done that too 🤣👍
New to your channel and just subscribed. Very informative content, really well presented. One small question, if you have time to answer: Sony A7siii with 35mm or maybe new 16-35 PZ. Better to go with Scorp-C or Mini? (Love the automation/app options you demo here). Many thanks
probably the Scorp c would be better - there’s likely a few features available on the app for the Scorp c as well
Nice review Mark. I'd love to see you review a DJI RSC2 (because that's what I have with raven eye). Perhaps a top 10 review in your opinion would be good. Certainly a good little gimbal but I think you're right, those twisty knobs would be fiddley to use.
Oh and I can't read the compatibility list. It's all blurred?
Definitely not a breeze to balance!!
you can download the link
Great video & awesome product. Perhaps I’m ahead of the game, but I’m still surprised that these very smart gimbal/tech companies haven’t brought out auto camera balancing? Simply scroll through a menu-select camera body & lens & gimbal instantly balances. Lens change? No problem! Scroll-select lens or load up a ton of your lenses and simply select it in your custom menu. Just like that gimbal rebalances.
I’m waiting for that day!!
You and me both@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I was expecting it from DJI with their recent RS3.
Physics! That will put unnecessary pressure on the tiny motors.
Wow. I love my G6 Max, and here's the successor. I was thinking about catching a Scorp-C refurbished eventually. Now I have a dilemma ;)
If it fits your camera - the kickstarter has a good deal on
I don't change my ZV-E10 setup.. I am hoping that using a zhiyun quick release on top of the included quick release lets me balance it once and be done. I am most interested in the ai tracking module where I usually record solo.
Good info
You're videos are always helpful. Just bought this gimbal. Unfortunately didn't come with the phone holder. I was wondering if you'd go into a little detail into why only the kit lens is on the compatibility list? I had bought the sigma 18-50mm 2.8 based off your videos. To connect with the cable, I had to turn off smartphone connect and have on PC remote function and it connected. I was able to hit the record button with the gimbal and worked.
glad it worked - sometime their lists don't have all the compatible lenses listed. Especially third party. You have to do what you did and experiment a little 😃
Big fan bro, from India ❤️
Thanks from Canada 🇨🇦
Always nice to see your reviews and explanations, but I thought that is Feiyu scorp F2 cz had monitor on handle
Thanks a lot for the video!...great and very well explained!. I've a question: I've got a Olympus OM-1 and there isn't a gimball compatible with the camera. Is it real difficult to calibrate the gimbal with all the cameras not compatible?. Thank you so much!.
What gimbal would you choose for filming yourself like vlog style, I use a zve10 (bought that and the godox based on one of your videos 😂)
I like the Zhiyun Crane M3 the best
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis thank you!!
Nice review.
I bought DJI Ronin RS2 Combo and never used it since 1 year and 2 months even once. This sounds like a better choice if I rewind time as I prefer handheld minor shakes with standard IBIS but you never know when you need to film indoors with those shitty 60Hz LED's around or for real estate videography.

Feiyu Scorp Mini: 4-in-1 Gimbal to Meet All Your Needs
hope you got a good price!!
Hi what’s the difference between scorp-c and scorp mini? It seems mini is smaller but will be more expensive?
Hi Mark, is this or the Zhiyun Crane M3 better for the ZV-E10 with the Sigma lenses? Thanks a lot!
I like the crane m3 better for that
Hi Mark! Great Video! Do you think that i does work with the ZV-E10 (and Smallrig Cage) and the E 18-105 f4 PZ OSS?
Best Wishes
Hard to say - but I doubt it because for the length of the 18-105
Does the Scorp Mini 3 works for Samsung A54?
Nice video! Thanks
Hi Mark, Can you mount the A7c with a Falcam F38 quick release plate on this gimbal? Lenses are a Tamron 20-40, and the Sigma 28-70. Thanx
will it work without plugging in the camera? I have a Nikon D3400 and it isn't compatible, but I was wondering if it would still work in some aspects.
This looks great! If only it works with my yc opinion chocolate se slider... chocolate se works with the scorp... maybe it will with the mini... debating between this and crane 3...
does the crane m3 work with the yc onion do you know?
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I believe so... all zhiyun should. I'm looking to cheap out and use it for pan/tilt... rather than buying a head for this as well... but I shoot things close up (little in ear monitors), so I'm concerned about distance to subject as well...
Does it work with CANON eos 200d dslr or is to heavy for this gimbal?
Nice review...
Thank you 🙂
Does this Gimbal work with Nikon Z30? I don't see it on the list but I know it's a newer camera.
Mark - Do you lose eye autofocus when connecting this particular gimbal via USB cable to ZV-E10 (and turn PC connection/control on?) Thanks!
You will always lose eye and face autofocus whenever you turn in PC Remote in the ZV-E10. And, unfortunately, as I mentioned in the vid, there is no connectivity to the ZV-E10. So it will serve no purpose.
Mark i had scorp-c and it was the worst gimbal that i ever used,it was very difficult to balance.I see the balancing points on this gimbal is very diffarent and thats why a better gimbal i think.
The scorp-c was going to all sides while walking very smooth. All the reviews from real buyers that i read on amazon germany is writing about the same problem now.I bought it 5 months ago and afther 1 month send it back. Its looking very nice but the scorp-c have realy problems and maybe of that they now bring this one out.i like the shape of scorp,it looks very cool
sorry to hear that. I found this gimbal hard to balance like I said in the video, but once balanced, I had no function problems at all. very smooth.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Very nice of you Mark Thank you for your thoughts.Keep up the making great videos,we love you here in Netherlands
Interesting. Is this compatible with a Panasonic GH5 ? (GH4 and GH5s are listed in the kickstarter compatibility file), but nobody can apparently confirm for a GH5...
Do You have the new versión mini 2?
Which one you prefer between feiyu scorp mini vs moza aircross S? Please answers
Which one do you recommend sir !? I'm struggling between scorp mini and rs3 mini. Any expert advice !?
both are great but I would lean to the rs3 mini because it can hold so much and is easier to balance
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thank you so much sir , big fan 🥰🤍
When you mention "lens compatibility", does that refer to the ability of the gimbal to balance the payload capacity? Or does it mean the gimbal cant control certain aspects of the lens parameters theough the usb c connection? Do you also think it would work with the tamron 17-70mm?
I mean the ability to for the lens and camera to balance on the gimbal. I doubt it would work with the Tamron 17-70- it’ll be too front heavy. But Arthur R seemed to use it with all ones of heavy lenses - but I couldn’t do that with my longer lenses on the ZV-E10
Thank you for your reply! you're the most entertaining/funny camera UA-camr
Does it work with the ZvE10 and the Sigma 16mm?
Does this switch to vertical shooting mode with having to remove the camera from the gimbal?
No you just put the camera into a horizontal position and use it that way. It’s not like the DJI
Do you have a video on how to balance this gimbal?
Will it handle canon m50 & 16mm sigma lens?
I have G6max, it can do it but i can't shot underslung because i have to place camera full back & the VF bump will obstruct the movement..
please make lots of videos sony zv-e10 with kit lens
Very important question Mark . . . Have they finished their years construction on your local playground?
Not for at least 2 more years!!!
I finally got the Scorp Mini, and was able to balance both my Tamron 20-40 and the Sigma 28-70 contemporary. My question is about camera connections. What port on the A7c do you use to connect to the gimbal? The cables with the TRS and TRRS attachments will not click into the ports on the camera. The only one that fits is the USBC and that gives me an error message "Check the connected device". I'm confused to say the least. The documentation is not the best.
check out this link and check out the A7C requirements. type c to type c cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1759/9593/files/SCORP-Mini_Camera_Compatibility_List_20221025.pdf?v=1667815573
Thanks for the reply Mark. I did manage to get most everything working. The trigger still won't start/stop recording when in video mode, but the record button on the handle does. I think that the fact that I have the picture button programmed to start stop video on the camera is the issue with that. I haven't had time to test that out yet. What do you think?
Can you compare this one to the new 3e
So if you were to spend the money would you get this gimbal or the m3? For the zve10
For me, like I mentioned in the vid (close to the end), the M3 suits my workflow better. It’s more expensive, but I prefer it for the ZV-E10.
If you mounted your phone on top of your camera, could you use it as a tracker for your camera?
huh - that is a great question. Don't know it it would balance - but I'll check it out.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis that would be super cool!
How is this gimbal for lefties? Can you try using it, holding it, controlling it using its buttons with your left hand? Thanks!
My buddy Shane is a lefty from Geeky Nerdy Techy and he did a review and he thought there was some annoyance for holding it in the left-hand ua-cam.com/video/ECn8wVoIV-w/v-deo.html
Would you recommend this gimbal for a zve10 that has a matt box ,follow focus, np970 external battery set up and those sorts of bells and whistles? I do alot of vehicle based videos and am looking for a gimbal i can mount on cars and bikes for chase footage.
I would get a more heavy duty gimbal for that - maybe the Weebil 3 amzn.to/3WMp1zL or a dji ronin
Dose the Ronan sc2 support the zve10 ? Last i checked they canned the for the sc3 which holy crap the price but plenty of mounting options and has the extendedable gimbal mounts for larger setups same as the crane 3 but the weebill3 dosnt have that ability but has full function for the zve10 😭 hence why its been such a hard choice
Is this compatible a6300 with 18-105mm lens ?Will it balenced?
Can it switch from vertical to horizontal.. is there anything mode that does that?
I'm curious as to how this compares to the weebill S. If it would be good to upgrade
if the Weebill S is working for you - I wouldn’t switch. I’m a big fan of Zhiyun gimbals, Most of my gimbals are Zhiyun.
Looks like a Zhiyun Weebill gimbals (except their mark 3)
Another device with "built-in batteries" -- the only reason I can see for that is that it guarantees the sale of a new gimbal when the batteries fail or slowly deteriorate. Lithium batts do this -- not speculation. I like this little gimbal, and at the price would probably buy it but just consider that it would be a throw-away or could suffer from my technical ignorance from changing out the batteries myself. I have successfully changed built-ins but not a success on all devices. I wiaI will sh more people would complain about built-in batteries. Good review, I will be watching for them to show up in my area. Cheers.
Yes - it's the new way of things. Guaranteed disposal. I wish they would all have options of replaceable batteries. Thanks, JR!!
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis If they would do that, i would quit burning myself with my soldering iron.
🤣🤣🔥🔥
Is it possible to put Sony zve 10 and tamron 17-70 on scorp mini? Im beginer and dji gimbal is more 💸 so am interested in scorp is it any goos for my setup? Tnx 🙏
is it possible to put zve10 + hollyland mars wireless on this scorp mini ?
Cap'n Gimbal! Friggin guy, name dropping like you grew up with Shane down under 😛 If it matters I watched your video on this, not his. Perhaps I need the lefty perspective?
Of course. Can’t get enough lefty perspective 🤣🤣
Will you choose this one over m2s or m3 or m2 ? M2s has additional led .We stick to sony zv 10 .Cheers .
The Crane M3 I think is best for the ZV-E10. It also has the same LED as the M2S but it can handle more lenses.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis i was expected such answer .😋👍
Does anyone know if this gimbal will work with a Zoom Q8n camera??? I’m talking about the camera operation button features etc?
I dont see A7riii in the compatible cameras list? but I see A7rii and many A7? is this for a reason? it is the same weight as the others, it doesn't make much sense. Thanks
yes, A7iv not there as well. I’m not sure, it’s possible they didn’t test it or maybe just where the weight is located in the camera? sometimes a small thing won’t make it balance. But my guess is that it would.
I have a zv-e10 with 18-105 mm lens so the lens is big and what do you think witt this setub work with this gimbal?
no, I don’t think it would. you definitely won’t be able to balance it, and I don’t know if the motors are strong enough to pull it up - but I wouldn’t use that setup in this gimbal even if it could.
Wait at 0:11 it is shot with a kit lens? How is the DOF so shallow?
See the pinned comment - that was a error - it was with the sigma 16mm 1.4
does it support vertical format?
Does it self level as it shoots a panorama
i have trouble connecting my zve10 with this gimbal, usb control functions won't work🤔
Though A74 is not in the list, can it still fit A74 with FE 40mm G, total weights 831g?
My guess is yes, but without trying, I can’t be sure. It certainly can support the weight. Just not sure if it balances properly.
On the kickstarter page it says it can hold 1200g total payload.
I can't find any reference to this but... I know the A7c is supported, but how about with the Sigma 28-70 contemporary?
it’s not listed specifically, but the A7C with the Sony 28-70 is listed as compatible - so it may work
I wonder how it works with the Z30....
I ordered the gimbal through the Kickstarter app. My credit card was charged, but I cannot login to the site, so it is impossible to check when it might be shipped. Other than the FeiyuTech site are you aware of any other access points where I can get any information?
I would contact customer support through their website www.feiyu-tech.com/
At $270 it's not a budget camera gimbal...and it won't carry heavy cameras...but the robotic features are pretty cool
my gimbal always sleeep mode and i cant use now
can you help me?
I would contact FeiyuTech
can you mount a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera BMPCC 4K on that ?
the Payload is 1.2kg/2.65 lbs
and BlackMagic BMPCC 4K Weight is only 1.5 lb / 680.38 g
Using a small lens of 100-200 g It should be ok
not sure - I don't have a blackmagic here and they have a different build than most mirroless cameras. Probably would work with the RS3 Mini
Lol 😂 your pretty good bro
Man, it’s a lot of gimbal for that money. Nice work on the video.
Thanks, Mark. It was a tough edit with all the running around the streets - but we muddled through. 😄
With Tamron 17-70mm F2.8 (B070) is suitable ?
I wouldn’t advise it if it’s not in the recommended list
My a7c was recently stolen 😩 I’ve been watching your videos and I’m thinking about getting this camera. Just not sure yet 🤦🏾♂️
Sorry to hear that. Which camera are you thinking about? The ZV-E10?
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis yes… I had just upgraded the lens to 20mm… and would like to keep the same style but the prices are steep… what do you recommend?
The ZV-E10 with the Sony 11mm 1.8 if you use active stabilization will get you close to that field of view. If you are in the studio, you can use the sigma 16mm 1.4 and that will give you the equivalent of a 24mm on the A7C
12:52 what if you used a third-party quick release on top of the proprietary adapter that problem would be solved right?
yes - that would be a good solution
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis great I'm looking forward to use it with my G95 hope that would be compatible. Thank you!
What file extension is the compatibility list? You uploaded it with a weird extension of ".numbers".
It’s a numbers file - mac’s version of excel. Can you not open it?
I put up a version in excel for you
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Oh thanks, have never heard of that format before. I am mostly a linux user :)
