@@FACTORY_01 from now on, any project with Russia will be under the constant shadow of their depleting war with Ukraine. Hope Indians will not squander this opportunity to develop their own industry. Creating commercially successful modern firearms is a story of constant improvement, aligning production lines to changes, unclogged supply chains and efficient & trained workforce. A rifle like this can be a world of opportunity if the powers that be do not gibe up on it. Make it available for export the moment production line stabilizes.
Most of the guns produced by countries other than major arms exporters we see today are some how have the looks of ak and ar. Both are considered superior arms all around the world, so design are inspired from them a lot.
Mass production is possible, since we approved the mass production of ak 203 rifles in India under licence, but it was halted due to the Russia Ukraine war. Since the war is ongoing, the project will not start any time soon. So if the ugram project came as success,it's a golden chance for it to enter production stage.
I don't know the length exactly, but the length of the rifle is approx 1metre , so the barrel length will be around 40 to 50 cm , considering most assault rifles have barrel length between 40 cm and 50 cm.
7.62×51 is used all across the world, since it's been used by NATO countries, there will be no shortage of ammo, that's why countries use it. And the gun is not a copy of HK G3
Copy of useless problemstic insas rifle execpt foldable butt stock and change of calibre the worst part is fore sight sitting on gass bend like butterfly while everything is AK copy piston extension rotating bolt magazine catch reciver etc...then why dont they copy foresight backsight of AK. flash hider/grenade projector baynot post cocking handle should be change we dont need grenede projector to lunch No36 hand grenede we already have UBGL and MGL with more accuracy i dont know WHY made same as insas.

Good video ☝
too bulky and outdated design
why every single military hardware made by DRDO look like the designer did not get a full salary.....
Looks like an AR15 had a baby with an Ak 47😂

😏this is improvement👍🏼
Let's hope it will become a reliable rifle for our armed forces.
@@FACTORY_01 😏it may be but the challenge will be how to mass produce

What is the barrel length

Our armed forces love imported weapons. They will definitely reject this under some or the other reason
They could have just upgrade SLR
