This video was so incredibly helpful! My mother and I spent over an hour trying to install our new unit with the very limited, confusing instructions they included. This video helped me actually get it installed. Thank you so much!!!
Thank you for making this video - even with angle issue it's very helpful - they never answer their phone & don't call back (after requesting your name & number) - you have the only video with this model & I sure do appreciate your time /effort
Great Video! You remind me of my dad who recently passed. He was very good at giving me instructions and never yelled! Miss you dad! Thank you Roger for your wonderful instructions!
Thank you or the video it was a great help even with the bad camera. Your explaination was great, the instructions were very confusing, it only took me 15 mins to do it on my door.
Question for my left handed hinged door in the back, the locked switch is facing vertical, my right hinged door in front has the lock switch horizontal, is their a way to make the locked switch to be horizontal for the back door?
Aware of that and is noted in the video. One of the down-sides of shooting on your own, without help. However, the install is pretty straight forward. The programming is where many have a problem.
Mine won't lock either - I'm thinking the latch cylinder might be turned the wrong way - I noticed on his that the rounded side points to the outside side of his door with the straight side pointing inside - I'm taking mine apart to change it now
Well I tried installing it with the cylinder facing the way it is on his & everything works except with the cylinder half moon facing outside of the door it opens right up even when locked - also with cylinder in this position it would be easy to insert a butterknife to open - I don't know what to do to fix this as it's inability to lock makes it worthless
What stops a thief from simply looking up this video or manual and then reprogramming someone’s lock to break and enter? Seems like a huge flaw. Guess the chances are very low but still.
Change the programming code from the factory 123456 to something else, which is what I always do. Another mistake I see people do is use their address for the entry code...........Not a good idea!
blah, blah, blah...just get to the details of installing and programming the keyless entry lock. The video of this project is horrible. All you see is the bottom half of the door and the guy's body. I can't even watch it.

Great job. Even with bad camera angle, I was able to install mine with your help. The instructions that came with were confusing.
Thanks.
Thank you for sharing This was exactly what I needed to learn how to replace my batteries.

Thanks for the installation video! I installed mine last night and this video make my installation super smooth!
Great video. Can't wait to install mine. Thank you!
The whole installation was a picture of rogers back! The programming part was great
Would help if the camera was actually pointing at the doorknob…

I have a quick question the lock button on the inside, is that remain on the unlocked position.
This made me go look! The lock button does turn when using the keypad to lock or unlock
Great video if we could see what you're doing. I'm glad you're explaining and did this video but upset at the angle of seeing nothing
I can't see how your putting those screws in
Awesome I got it installed and it connected but then my dead bolt won’t automatically turn :( it just spins HELP
Check your alignment with the strike plate. Sounds like you are not aligned right.
Well explained but didn't see what I needed to see. Can you redo the video?
I can't see you installing due to your camera is pointing at the floor.
Aware of that and is noted in the video. One of the down-sides of shooting on your own, without help. However, the install is pretty straight forward. The programming is where many have a problem.
Omg the only part i need and the camera is to low and I can’t see 😭😭
I couldn't see what was being done. The camera was not on the work.
h
Have you ever had one that will not lock? Neither with the finger lock (won't turn), or the electronic lock button (hear it trying to work)?
No. I've done a total of seven of these with no problems.
Common issue with locks installed in properly. Just got mine installed and the 258 doesn’t work at all

Can't see door ,just the bottom half too bad

@@rogersshop hi please answer if I already programmed it how do I re-do the admin passcode
@@xchen8980 Unless it was changed, the default factory passcode is 123456 for admin access.
Thanks for asking this question! I was wondering that myself.
You can't see what your doing. The camera is to low.
wish I could see what you are doing
Yes, I am aware of the bad camera angle. I intend to do another one on just the programming and it will be close up and detailed.
Couldn’t even see what you were doing
Yes, I am aware that the camera was not exactly on point. One drawback of one-person videos.
Man you dnt even show what you doing!!!
cant see a lot of this!
Terrible camera angles. Come on man. You can do better.

Not very helpful. I do better with visual not verbal
