How to Change Programming Code on Honeywell/Tru-Bolt Keypad Lock

- The Programming Code for Honeywell/Tru-Bolt Electronic Keypad Door Lock is a 6 digit code that allows you to put the lock in programming mode before making programming changes.
You can change this Programming Code for security reasons. If you've just installed a new Honeywell or Tru-bolt Lock, you still have the default programming Code (123456) active, so you need to change the code for security reasons.

This lock was left in our home when we purchased it. We changed all the locks to Kwikset Touchscreen locks integrated into our home automation system but i kept this generic lock in case we ever wanted it for something. Glad to find this video how to change the code. Now ifni can figured out how to make it more quiet, this thing beeps obnoxiously loud.

You can enable silent mode. Here is how to do that:
Step 1 -- Enter the Programming Code and press the Unlock button.
Step 2 -- Press 6 and press the Unlock button.
Step 3 -- Press 1 and press the Unlock button. This will enable silent mode.

Kwikset locks are great. I've actually made programming videos about them on this channel. The latest one I bought is the Kwikset SmartCode 913.
@SmartTechVille those I know how to set up. I have them on all 5 of my exterior doors already. This ones for an interior storage room that needs secured. Was hoping just to use the Honeywell since it was in a closet. Thanks again and have a great day
