Saying her Order endured thanks to Godfrey is an understatement, because he CRUSHED all enemies of the Erdtree with his army, and he crushed them so hard that he had to be nerfed by having Serosh grafted on him to quell his lust for battle and to look and behave as a proper lord. His crusade didn't start easy. The very first threat the Golden Order removed was the giants, and by the looks on the mountain top you can see they stood no chance against his onslaught, from there his crusade made it's way down south until it eventually ended at the border of Caelid where Marika personally stripped Godfrey and all of his men of their grace for reason unknown. Janet looked like a kindergarten teacher I would look forward to seeing every school day 🥲. It’s so sad she got taken away from her family by a monster.
ive heard people say she was not always the same as Radagon but the problem i have with that is. if Radagon wasnt always a part of her that she either became to do other things or physically took out of herself to do those things. like Miquella did with St Trina. how come Ranni, Rykard and Radahn became Demi-gods? if he wasnt always one with her. but she is the only god in the lands between (not counting the outer gods or any children of hers yet) how did they become demi gods? Rennala sure as hell isnt a demi god. just a really talented sorcerer
Marika and Radagon had 3 children, not two. Messmer, Melania, and Miquella. We know Messmer is Radagon's child because he, like all of Radagon's children has the signature red hair. Messmer is also confirmed to be Marika's son, so the only possible person that could be Messmer's father is Radagon. On top of that, all of Marika and Radagon's children are cursed; Miquella with eternal youth, Melania with the Scarlet rot, and Messmer was cursed with the Abyssal Serpent. All of the cursed children are the result of the incestuous relationship of Marika and Radagon. No other demigod child exhibits any sort of curse other than Mohg and Morgott, but they aren't actually cursed, they were just born without grace and were thus Omens
So how did Radagon and Marika become one? And wasnt Radagon Rennalas Husband? And why is Marika crucified but radagon not? And why are they broken? And who tf is the elden beast? So many questions
Yesen'ted Radagon and Marika were always one. After Godfrey's banishment, Marika separated herself with Radagon. Radagon and Marika had 3 more children, and Radagon left to Liurnia. Radagon fell in love with Rennala, and had three kids. Radagon was later forcefully summoned back to be full, in order for Marika to shatter the Elden Ring. Now the Elden beast, basically servant of the Greater Will, punished Marika and crucified her with Radagon inside the same body. She has the ability to change between Radagon and Marika, which is why you fifht Radagon in the final battle.
@@redbirb1571 Radagon and Marika were separate already when Godfrey and Marika were a thing. Rennala and Radagon were married and had Ranni, Rykard and Radahn. Once Godfrey was disposed of, Marika recalled Radagon. They were fused together again as punishment for her shattering the Elden Ring.
I dont understand how is she from the numen lands (even her hammer is made there) and then we find that she is from the shaman village which is referred to as "home" in the golden braid talisman. So the assassins who killed godwyn in the night of black knives who are known for having close ties with her and they were all numen women were shaman too? I just read a comment and it says shaman village is a mistranslation and it means " more like god village or something like that". Also she ascended to became a goddess when she was at the gate of divinity and we know that Godfrey married her when she was already called marika the eternal and the vessel for the elden ringl so when the heck was messmer born cuz radagon is her second husband (ik they're the same person but idk when they became like that, it is stated that the flesh of shamans was said to meld harmoniously with others which makes things even more complicated)
the 2 headed dragon was 1st elden lord fyi godfry is 1st elden lord in tittle onky but placudosax or how ever you spell his name was technicly 1st elden lord says so in the game lore
I feel so accompl by laughing at all the old lore videos. The marriage of Marika and Radagon should always be explained further. Marika did do a selfcest to give birth to Miquella and Malenia. I only wish the DLC had also mentioned the “emotion” that Radagon embodies. Although speculation does lead to obvious answers I guess.
In short, Marika wanted revenge. She got the power by becoming a god, then married Godfray and had kids. She used him to remove all opposition to her, then banished him. Origins of Radagon are unknown. I think Marika created him to gain control over the Moon faction of the Lands Between. There she had three kids with the Moon Queen. She then experimented with having a kid with herself but the kids were failed results. She sent one of those kids to get her revenge in her homeland. Around this time, her first kid was killed, who was her only successful results from her experiment, which is probably why she broke the Elden Ring out of maybe anger or resentment or something like that. This was her mistake and led to her downfall. Now related to that, this is just my theory, but I think Melina is like a fragment of Marika. We know spirit creature like Melina are created at the base of the Erdtree. So maybe Marika created her to find a creature or being capable of freeing her from the cage. Because depending on out choice, we can become the elden lord with Marika as the god, we can change our loyalty to Ranni and become the Elden lord or we can destroy this world completely for some new outer god to come and start a new experiment.
Godfrey is really strong, fighting lords and giants, but he's still a man. Radagon is a literal god. Lorewise, Radagon wins. Gamewise is different since Radagon only counts as phase 1.

Godwyn was who Miquella wishes he was
Miquella became a God who charmed two demigods and had an intense sexual relationship with the ultimate Chaddest of Chad demigods. Maliketh is not Marika's half-brother, that's a mistranslation. The original meant that Maliketh was like a brother to Marika.
However just before they were driven from the Lands Between, the Queen promised him that he and his men shall have their grace returned to them after death
Godfrey did nothing. Marika slew the Giants' Fell God.
@@BulldogFromHell Godfrey coordinated the army that destroyed 99% of the giants, and Marika didn't even kill the Fell god. If she was able to do that the forge wouldn't need a guardian because it would be extinguished

Did you think I wouldn’t recognize the Morrowind theme song in the background? 😏
But marika also apparently had messmer as a kid at some point. The red hair implied it's radagon's kid, but the time in which it happened makes you wonder if it's not just simply a trait of messmer's divine flame. Idk if I'm missing something here but if I am someone please lmk
Yo you forgot about Melina the 3rd daughter of Radagon and Marika aka the Kindling Maiden why second Personality is Gloam Eyed Queen.
We don't know father of Messmer and Melina. Messmer(also a kindling guy with one yellow eye and one sealed eye) might even be the first child of Marika so they might be even before Godfrey but if Marika was always Radagon similar to st. Trina Miquella duo then they might've had them before.

Correction. Marika and Radagon had 4 children: Miquella, Malenia, Melina, and Messmer
Something that still amuses yet scares me at the same time to this day… is how Marika conceived with Godfrey… no really! The guy is literally a barbarian and is driven by bloodlust and aggressiveness! Gotta hand it to Marika for stamina here. 💀🤯
St Trina is miquella and miquella is st Trina. I would make sense that when you give something up those emotions turn into a entity itself. Could you imagine splitting all your emotions as a person and what would happen. You’d have two entity that are the same but different because of what they have.

I don't know the story of the Elden Ring... All I know is BOOM BOOM 💥 Cool weapons and skills...
I once tried to explain the entire lore as a comment, and it took me 4 hours to complete, which was before the DLC💀
Its nice to see that this dlc explains that ascend to godhood changes person. Marika wanted to punish her enemies so shr became a god and then prisoner in erdtree. One can assume now that she shattered elden ring just so tarnished can come and kill her. She was Nor good nor evil
I honestly want to see a Game of Thrones styled show based on the backstory of Elden Ring

Also any Omen with horns is of royal blood.
Was wondering because black knife assassins were the same race as marika (numen) does that mean the were all shamans from her village?
I love the lore, but I can't unhear the skyrim theme in the background
ive heard people say she was not always the same as Radagon but the problem i have with that is. if Radagon wasnt always a part of her that she either became to do other things or physically took out of herself to do those things. like Miquella did with St Trina. how come Ranni, Rykard and Radahn became Demi-gods? if he wasnt always one with her. but she is the only god in the lands between (not counting the outer gods or any children of hers yet) how did they become demi gods? Rennala sure as hell isnt a demi god. just a really talented sorcerer
maliketh wasn’t her literal brother, it’s a mistranslation.
I’m pretty sure the rune of death belong to the Godskins and the gloom eyed queen originally
Ngl the picture of the video confused me to Godfrey being such a simp he tattooed queen Marika whole body on his back.
Welp the new lore sent to us made me lean more towards the chaos😅
So as a tarnished would that make us a decendant of godfrey?
Not necessarily. We are either one of his soldiers in his army, their descendents, or we could be his kid like nepheli. Hero class hints at it.
Melina and Mesmer are also Marika’s children.
There were 4 children born of Radagon and Marika; Melina, Malenia, Messmer, and Miquela

Hey Marika...tell your son Miquella to stop kidnapping me
Not true. Marika had at least 3 children with Radagon. We’ve known this for a while.
И если смотреть так то со стороны Годфри всё были верны Марике и не желали ей зла, в отличие от Радагона и его потомков
You forgot about godrick lmao
Also it's highly hinted that Melina is also a sister to Messmer, making her a secret fourth child of Radagon and Marika.
@@Crichjo32 outright confirmed in messmers kindling description but they changed it in the last patch
I don't think Omen are born without grace, just that they are touched by a fundamental part of the Erdtree/Crucible.
So Marika was for the streets of the lands between.
in the end she chooses himself to bear her children...so we can say malenia and miqula are only her pure children
So, now I just want to know how Maliketh is Marika's half brother.
As empyrea she got a lot of buff 😂 on certain part 😂
So how did Radagon and Marika become one? And wasnt Radagon Rennalas Husband? And why is Marika crucified but radagon not? And why are they broken? And who tf is the elden beast? So many questions
thats all answered just watch elden ring lores
Yesen'ted
Radagon and Marika were always one.
Can’t forget Messmer
What about godrick? Ain't he also one of marika and godfreys children?
He is a decendant. Not a child of Marika.
Correction: Maliketh is not Marika's half-brother. He's basically a loyal guard dog. Very fondly thought of by Marika, but not related

I thought Godfrey got banished because he disagreed with merika when she wanted to snap the horns of mohg and morgot
Ok the fact that yall asked this question and a 10 minute gaslighting session followed tells you everything you need to know lol
“Morgot and mog”
If marika is radahon and radagon is marika does that mean she married herself and had children with herself?
yes , hence why they were all afflicted
Marika IS Radagon and vice verse. They’re two forms of the same entity.
the 2 headed dragon was 1st elden lord fyi godfry is 1st elden lord in tittle onky but placudosax or how ever you spell his name was technicly 1st elden lord says so in the game lore
You know what, Godfrey? You’re better off without her. You and your boys.

Honestly, truthfully, who would win, Godfrey or radagon?
Godfrey is really strong, fighting lords and giants, but he's still a man.
Radagon is a literal god. Lorewise, Radagon wins.
Gamewise is different since Radagon only counts as phase 1.
