I'm a gay man I love your content. I don't like targeting children for the stuff and the Doctor Who I haven't watched it but it looks terrible.
The people in charge of the once-beloved shows are petty, bitter narcissists carrying a narcissistic injury and a score to settle with EVERYBODY, gay, straight or otherwise. Thank you for being one of the normal, critical thinking, compassionate people who sees right through their bs.

True fans dont just consume a product that has the brand name attached to it. They rebel when they see a franchise that they hold dear being decimated by a company and showrunner that dont respect what came before.
Gatekeeping is only bad when it prevents genuinely interested people from learning more about an IP.
If it prevents clowns like this from ruining it, it’s not only justifiable, it’s the virtuous thing to do.
They want fans to be drooling, mindless consumers. There are some that are... but it's not the majority.
Which is something you would think they'd figure out just by looking at Star Wars and Marvel. I know for a fact that these companies care more about profit than anything else so you'd think at some point somebody there would go "You know, it doesn't look like pandering one specific part of the population is making us any money."

Just saying its getting the worst ratings of all time doesn’t do this failure justice. In the mid to late 80’s the BBC was embarrassed by Doctor Who and were actively looking for any reason to cancel it. They slashed its budget year after year, gave them bad scripts, unenthusiastic producers, a clueless “showrunner”, kept moving its time slot round week by week, zero advertising budget and had it unlisted from the tv guides “accidently” more than once.
IT IS NOW GETTING WORSE RATINGS THAN WHEN THEY DIDN’T TELL PEOPLE IT WAS ON TV. All the money and talent they want, all the critical praise they could ask for, all the positive bots they can pay for and still no one cares anymore. No tv show has failed harder or hurt its core fans more.
Theory A: they are really bad at what they're doing.

I don’t think anyone’s looking for it to be Oscar worthy (even though the last good Doctor actually had won an Oscar) people just want it to be Doctor Who. Not the continued adventures of the Timeless Child and theys journeys through times up and safe space. Let them cook sure, but how’s about they don’t burn down the kitchen and tell us were wrong for leaving the restaurant.
As for watching the old stuff people are on mass and still RTD isn’t getting the message. When an advert for the blu-ray of a 47-year-old season gets more views and likes that the trailer for the new series. You know the shows on borrowed time.
Turning off more than 75% of the public to cater to less than 0.75% of the public is not a wise business decision.

I've been watching Disparu's reviews of the present series but I've no intention of watching the actual episodes.
Dr Who is dead, but even as a Dalek I can take no pleasure in this victory.
I normally like watching disparu's play throughs of bad shows (it's fun to laugh at and the shows are so bad they become funny) but the clips from Dr who are just sad and hard to even laugh at.

They honestly thought that long time fans would be replaced, in triplicate, by people who haven't been interested in Doctor Who for decades? Delusion at its finest.
I think it was the guy who plays the trans-villain in episode 2 who said that for every bigot they lost in the viewer count, 3-5 new ”woke” fans would come in to take their place.
Well, turns out they lost 600,000 bigots, and got 3-5 new diverse fans, so he was **half** correct.

I’ve been showing my two boys classic Doctor Who and I caught them last week building a Dalek out of cardboard and draping a blue sheet over their bunk beds with a cardboard sign that read “POLICE BOX”. I’m so proud.
Don’t worry, I won’t be showing them one minute of the new Doctor.
My 1st Doctor was the 4th and my daughters also because of repeats and we won’t be watching the new Doctor I am so sick of the woke!
My 1st Who was Pertwee. He always carried such an air of dignity and boldness.

He did always have an air of dignity to him, even as he made fun of himself at times. And She always came across as likeable, even as she spouted the early 70's feminist garbage they threw in the scripts back then.

I'm just tired of LGBT being used. That's literally what it is. Using us. Just like they use us for votes they are using us for entertainment. Embarrassingly bad acting and yet another portrayal of a lack luster LGBT character. Give me Captain Jack Harness not this crap. Give me characters I can relate to and feel something with.
Worst part is, it's not a community anyway. It's like the saying left-handed, deaf, light hypersensitive, and gym goes are all members of the same community; these are ASPECTS, not the totality.
Of course, there are those who are mono-dimentional, but they are but few and far between.

I'm starting to think the word they like to use a lot, "diverse", is actually a hybrid of the words Divert and Perverse instead of the actual word.
It really is starting to look like it now.

I mean, Jack was kind of pansexual, sometimes that felt weird but also in line with the idea of his character. But there was so much more than that made him interesting. He was a character I could get invested in and he felt very masculin, witty but also heroic.
The ratings are even worse when you take into account that there are more people in the UK than there were when the reboot debuted in the early aughts.
The population has increased dramatically and they're still losing viewership.
Imagine a Doctor Who episode where they come across a planet where the economy sucks and the leader keeps telling them how grateful they should be for the higher prices, only to then find out that the leader is some “on the brink of death” old man whom they prop up Weekend at Bernie’s style every now and then because he was “elected” and they have to pretend that things are good. Allegory??? No different than what they’ve done in the past.
That actually sounds like a Who episode.

Been a Doctor who fan for almost forty years, enjoyed every incarnation of the show from the sixties before I was born, to the eighties excesses, to fringe arthouse nineties bbv productions, to the big finish audios, , to the new series with Mat Smith and David Tenant, to Torchwood and the Sarah Jane adventures (both the very adult audiot series, and the kids series for the bbc).
But after Jody Witicker's preaching and crappy story telling, murdering spiders, lecturing on climate change, and being an insufferable bitch about her companions fears of cancer, I, was out!
Now, I'm gone beyond just leaving the show, I'm supporting the Daleks: "exterminate! Exterminate! Exterminate!
Cancel doctor who again, and maybe revive it in ten years if the world is back to sanity and the identity mania has stopped, and we can fire some of the activist morons, But right now, it's not even a parody of Doctor who Anymore!

This is part of our culture as brits... and this is without a doubt the worst fall of any franchise at the moment.
Honestly the woke stuff is pretty annoying but a far worse crime in my opinion is that the writing seems like something out of a bad fanfiction. Doctor Who was basically created on the idea of great writing and acting making up for a terrible budget. That's how they made a statue that never did anything on camera, one of the most terrifying movie monsters ever made. And now that's all been lost.
Them: people only like things that reflect them, so we are changing these white/straight/male characters.
Us: well then we aren’t going to read/watch/play that.

I don’t want to see The Doctor hide behind his companion(s). I want to see the Doctor have his Picard speeches and save the day. Regarding the episode The Devils Chord, I don’t think it’s appropriate for kids to watch a show where the villain orgasms while eating the musical notes of their victim. The Doctor is supposed to be ambiguous mysterious, and sometimes even dangerous. (the Sixth Doctor anyone?) The show needs to go on a hiatus for a few years. And come back with a Show Runner that loves and deeply respects the show. I agree, they’re giving those who are LGBT a bad name and representation. These activists need to stop, before they do more damage.
It's not just Dr.Who, Star Wars and STAR Trek. It's pretty much all the prime time dramas and first responder action related shows. There's almost no way to avoid it now without pulling the plug on your TV set.

DVD box sets my friend. Get the old shows that had good stories, moral characters who were not just likable but lovable, and no perversion being constantly rammed down your throat.
Might I suggest Babylon 5 as a good place to start your collection of great science fiction, just be patient and pay attention there's a lot to learn in season 1 just setting up the plot and characters for the story to really kick off in season 2. By the end of the show you will feel like you are losing old friends.

Albus Dumbledore was NEVER gay. He was a troubled youth with a sister who had many mental challenges, a brother he had differences with, and parents you'd probably not want as parents, who finally found a friend in another young male.

Or that last of us episode. Literally a story about two gay guys and showed gay sex. It was well written and people didn’t care! The sex part may not have been everyone’s favorite part, but the plot and acting was outstanding.
Maestro wasn't and isn't a replacement for the Master. It's an entirely new character and a child of the toymaker. That said it was still awful.
I was a massive Doctor Who fan, watched all the available original episodes, etc. But then the Danny Pink story arc ruined it for me. It's been all downhill since then. That's been 10 years now.
The last episode of Capaldi's first season was really jarring. I didn't mind Pink, not really, but he didn't feel 'organic.'
The Timeless Children killed Doctor Who during Dr Karen’s run, when RTD announced he wasn’t gonna retcon the retcon (even mentioning it in the supposedly 60th anniversary last year), that was my stopping point. Since then the show has been nothing but a corpse, that’s being abused by the same PC agenda which has been responsible for ruining the lore, overall it highlights that the programme would be better off getting cancelled, as these recent episodes have shown in viewership that touching grass has been more appealing.
Modern "inclusive" characters are basically just the 'how do you do, fellow kids?' meme.

When they announced that Fem Dr would be replaced by Race Dr I rolled my eyes so hard I got a headache. The show runners couldn’t have been more franchise blind if they tried. Dr Who is about exploring and adventuring across time and space. Not a lecture on gender rolls. So for Ncuti Gatwa Dr I was braced for a lecture on race and oh boy was I wrong. This was like a first lecture overview for a course of every pants on head retarded ideology that this production crew could come up with. I have watched every Dr who episode, including the 97 that have been lost to time (not to me though, in a family of Dr who fans vhs tv recordings are a thing.) What is sad is that as someone who under any measure be called a fan of Dr Who. I would rather the show end now forever then continue as an abortion of what it has become now.
The Meastro is a very poor villain. The idea that the Meastro will replace The Master is ludicrous. The Meastro episode was week and wasted the Doctor Who meets the Beatles moment. It should have been played that the Doctor does not even know who they are and his companion fangirls and tries to get him to understand their importance.

I gave up with the prior series where Doctor Who became a woke woman. The show was all politics and lecturing, it wasn't fun and it was rewriting history with total falsehoods and misinformation to push "the message"

They will never make a lgbt character as lovable as Captain Jack harkness
There is a difference between acceptance and normalization. Captain Jack's character was couched in quirkiness. He was meant to be something abnormal and amusingly deviant. We did have acceptance of him and he was lovable.
Now the agenda demands that this deviance be normalized. They want kids to grow up thinking that there is nothing deviant about this behavior and it is perfectly normal.
Captain Jack was more than his sexual dysfunction. He was a minor hero, and moderately entertaining. He was fun *despite* the sexual nonsense. These new characters don't even have that much.
I so wanted to like Jack, and was looking forward to Torchwood. But when they did the repeated rapid cuts from / to Jack's homosexual and Gwyn's hetero sex in a blatant attempt to mentally link the two (a deliberate psychological trick) I turned off the series and never turned it back on. That absolutely crossed the line of not just pushing their perversion agenda, but went to ramming it down my throat with a 100 ton press.
Jack was fun and a character you wanted to see more of

Dr. Who was the first series me and my wife watched teogather. It's so frustrating that they ruined it. It just got so bad that we had to stop watching it. I was ok with Capaldi at first, and then they started pushing the agenda. Don't even get me started on the Trump line.

The director came out that Monday saying that it underperformed because people are homophobic, which resulted in us closing not to see it because of that blaming.

Doctor Who ended in The Day of the Doctor. Saving Gallifrey from the Time War and went looking for it with all the previous Doctors.
As being British, I loved watching that blue police box materialises will that iconic sound. I watched all of the old Dr Who on re-runs cause I'm 35 now, I wasn't around in the 60's. But I loved the interaction the Dr had with his companions, the random Tom, Dick and Harry he meet along his journey throughout time and space. I became a huge fan of David Tennant's Dr and his interpretation of his Dr. Matt Smith was a bit dorky, and sort of like Jack Sparrow type which I found to less serious when he wanted to be, Calpadi's had more a laid back feel, not too serious. Then when Jodi Wittier and the whole Timeless child story that was the end for me.
Time Lords had limited regenerations 12 times and had 13 faces, now changing all that to say he didn't have a childhood back on Gallifrey, but was from a little black girl dating back an unknown amount of years.
I jumped off that band wagon during the Matt Smith era. The writing got insanely bad. They stated overtly false facts about the world such as "living trees can burn" and "life creates mass" in addition to becoming increasingly hostile towards the audience.
Dr who Died 1963 to 2013 RIP.

They sacrificed interesting story and character development for woke messaging.
And its a pity because the seeds of an interesting story IS there.
The Doctor mentioned that his bi-regeneration was him splitting his soul in half.
Then the Doctor starts acting very not like the Doctor, getting scared of monsters he usually would star down with a stoneface.
Having emotional outburst of a kind he never before had.
All of these things could have made an interesting story, ala the soul is fragile beyond belief and splitting it in two has dire consequences for both halves.
This could have been quite the story but unfortunately we get drag queens and the doctor dancing in a night club and musicals...

This happened with Star Wars too.
The 'new creators' projected their own ignorance and hate onto the audience. An audience, they showed they knew nothing of. By not knowing the Doctor Who fanbase (and also the Star Wars fanbase ..and Star Trek fanbase) were THE most progressive audiences already.
It has always been that way in sci-fi, supporting the 'outliers' (and the geeks etc). These creative idiots came along with their own baggage. And promptly showed us all their own shortcomings. They killed the Golden Goose ...all for false ideology and a percieved enemy. That was not there.
If they had looked further afield, around the globe, they might have found a worthy enemy. But they wouldn't go near that with a barge pole!
So instead, they attacked their 'home'. What a bunch of morons.
The grass feels alot better than being the visions I see on the T.V.
Just let them keep losing viewers, and by definition...money. Disney has lost an absolute fortune over the past three years, and continues to do so. It's what happens when you cater to only 3 or 4 percent of your audience. Eventually, those losses will result in a purge. Directors, producers, showrunners, writers, actors...need to be replaced on a grand scale. The video game industry is now being targeted by this lunacy. They should take note of of what's happened in the film and TV arena and bail, posthaste. Amazon and Paramount failed to heed the warnings. Just look at the drivel that's been streamed on those channels over the past few years. As for the seemingly endless agenda aimed at the targeting of kids, I highly recommend people watch the 2024 documentary titled "The War on Children", directed by Robby Starbuck.
Can't wait to see these guys reviewing Rings of Power season 2.😆
By the way, that's how I discovered KinghtsWatch and thus Shadiversity. After I've seen the first episode of season 1, I searched for reviews just to watch people hating it, and KnightsWatch review showed up. 😆

The most frustrating part is most of us don't care if someone is gay, black, trans or whatever. But when the writing is entirely focused on promoting acceptance (Which we accepted before) gets boring. Makes for awful TV.

Ratings should be taken from the first time it is shown on TV, not over a few days. And that's because you don't know how many people are watching it for the first time, , and how many are watching for the second or third time ....
I checked out of doctor who about two episodes into Capaldi's run.
I've been watching Doctor Who since Tom Baker, my wife since Jon Pertwie, and my children have been inboard since Eccleston. We all quit at the same time and haven't been back since. IMO, it would have been better if the doctor hadn't received extra regenerations.
What amazes me is that since the relauch, Doctor Who was already "woke" in its messaging and cast, BUT it was done with a fair amount of subtlety, which made it minimally, if at all, parasitic to the story.
Then Jodie Whittaker became the Doctor and it all went downhill fast...
It's truly a shame, given that with better writers and companions, Jodie would have made a good Doctor, since she was already the redeeming quality of the show, as broken as it was.
Dr. Who used to be such a good show. I hate "them" for what they've done to it.
I always find it funny when people tell the audience not to watch their show then complain when people stop watching.
