@@Burbsi You're not going to get 240fps on Cyberpunk. Not for a while, anyway. Or *maybe* without some heroic overclocking. Even at the lowest graphics settings, at 5120x1440, my 3090FE and 5950X will only push up to 90fps reliably in the middle of the city. At ultra settings, it's more like 55fps. Oh course, it doesn't stutter or drop frames either.
Y'know, normally when I see monitor videos I'm just kinda like "neat." This is one of the few times I've seen a monitor video where I was actually like "okay, I would love to have one of these," and a big part of that isn't even the bending of the screen itself: it's the design of the base. I love the way that interface is set up, and it looks like a built-in USB hub style I'd actually *use,* especially with having useful I/O right on the front rather than on the back.
I think this idea is awesome! Having it motorised might make more sense imo though, as I can see a lot going wrong trying to bend the display by hand... Specs seem really good too!
If not motorized, then perhaps just a mechanism that bends and unbends the monitor with the twist of a screwdriver ... would make the process equally secure, but less costly to produce and less prone to catastrophic failure (imagine the motor failing, and then the monitor being stuck forever).
I can understand What you are saying! having 2 buttons on the stand where the USB ports are will be much better cause if you didn't bend it properly for example, then it might break! and since its already a 42" High res, high refresh rate monitor then its gonna cost a small fortune to buy another one! Also, for the motorized part, it'll be call if it has memory so you can have different "bend levels" that you can quickly choose!
This looks absolutely wild. I thought the fact that it was bendable was interesting enough but uits 240Hz, OLED and reportedly colour accurate with a USB hub. Unfortunately it will likely be WAYYYYYY to expensive!

Two days ago I read somewhere in the comment section when searching about curved screens "In 10-20 years we will have flex monitors, that goes from curved to flat and flat to curve on demand". And here we have it
This monitor is a true flex on those who only have 1 kind of monitor. Yours can be a flat panel. An 1800R, a 1500R or whatever you choose... Now we just need a tiny version of this, with a parallax filter or fresnel lenses, slapped into a VR headset.
1:20 - It really FEELS like this would seriously benefit from being able to be automated... sitting on the couch "Hit the Button" Sit in front "Hit the Button"! Curious about that price though.
Two weeks ago I upgraded from a 38" curved ultrawide to a 43" flat TV \monitor (Samsung QN90A) and I thought it would be awesome if you could just bend the screen a little to improve the viewing angles! I was used to sitting a bit closer to the curved screen because you can see everything clearly by turning your head. But with the flat panel I have to sit further back to see the edges of the screen (it's taller too, of course). Maybe my next upgrade will be a 8K paper thin display that's touch-enanled like in Minority Report! 😀
Thanks, Corsair your the best 🍺 Paul it's awesome to see you and Kyle back together. Does that mean Kyle going to do a product review in your new office in the future?
Pretty awesome idea, really like it, and that oled panel with 1000nits peak brightness is great. I don't imagine it's going to be cheap do, and also don't really understand why they didn't go with a higher resolution like 3840x1600 for example, although that's probably a panel limitation, all in all, cool stuff!
A good choice for those who don't know if they want a curved monitor or not. Options are always good, if they're reasonably priced. New tech is always expensive, but is it worth the extra cost over choosing a "fixed" monitor of the same type? We shall see. Good work none the less Corsair.
Looking to upgrade my monitor and I do have concerns of the QD-OLED options right now. I know that the three year warranty is great to see, but I think I may want a few more "in the wild" as it were before I start down that path. Maybe I should just keep my current monitors for a bit longer and then make a consideration. An ultrawide does look awesome though.
It interesting. I just think most people will set it to the curve they like and never move it again. It's new technology on monitors so I could be completely wrong. Will need to how it's used. Being an LG panel, it should look amazing. I have had the B6 (still running with no noticeable burn in), CX (replaced under warranty panel failed), and C2. B6 is almost 6 years old and the picture still looks amazing.
So about the stats for the monitor: 3440x1440 = 24:10 Aspect Ratio = Dual 6:5 Monitors bonded side by side Pixel Density = 82.87 PPI That's below the standard 96 DPI which is used for 100% scaling of windows fonts I wish LG/Corsair would correct that info, instead of misrepresenting it as a 21:9 monitor
putting Kyle's guns in there I see. but the best part is how the IO is accessible. having it on the stand in the back like that is great....could kill using monitor arms though.
I think the idea is awesome, I use a 34' Alienware Curved Monitor now, what I would like to see is a "Motorized" mechanism that can do it for you... My current monitor is mounted in the wall and one a movable bar, and putting my stomach on the back the "Bend it back" would not be an option.
I'd be the one to bend it and then leave it, probably. Looks like a great monitor with the exception of the low PPI of just 84. You want at least a 109 or higher with 91 or so being a standard pre-4K/32" level.
Well, it's a 2k / 1440px monitor at heart. At least vertical. Absolutely doable for gamers. Jumping up to true 4k resolution on an ultrawide yanks that pricetag up fast. Then add the refresh rate, and it instantly becomes unaffordable for most folks.
@@Nightmoore It's actually not possible in many situation due to the bandwidth hitting the cable max for DP 1.4 (unless you use DSC). The DPI btw is entirely separate from the actual resolution without considering the display size. This screen is a low DPI because it's large for the resolution.
@@Nightmoore Yeah, totally fine for someone if they don't mind the lower resolution. I generally prefer a quality screen which includes a resolution of at least 108 DPI, which would be a 3440x1440 at 34" or so in the case of these ultrawides.
I can't wait until we have the hardware to actually push this resolution to 100+ fps with near Ultra settings on AAA open world titles. I'll definitely be snagging one of these on their 2nd or 3rd revision when the 16th gen Intel/RTX 6000 series cards come out.
Try 4-5 years. None of your business why I build Intel systems, and in what world are you living in where AMD has the better processors right now lmao?
@@Aliothale rtx 6000 series is 2 years away (shows your knowledge) and amd is better in pretty much every way intel is a tiny bit better at single core performance over amd but that amount is so small it doesnt make sense to pay so much more for that. also im the owner of a pc building store and we always ask what the customers goal is with the pc. most people come for gaming systems some for work systems others just need a standard pc for stuff at home. so all the gamers we give amd cus its better the workers we give intel depending on the work. and for the normal pcs we either recommend a good laptop with amd or intel depending on their budget. but seeing your childish response of "none of your business why i build intel systems" tells me you know nothing about it and just keep with the thing you think is best, a friend of mine is like that and my pc is cheaper yet out performs his pc by a landslide cus im running amd. its simple knowledge maybe try to brush it up kid.
800R though! I'm legally blind, so I kind of need to be a fixed distance from the screen and it's a lot closer than most anyone else reading this I'm sure. A relatively tiny 25" is about as big as I can go with my 16:9/16:10 display before I need a curved display. If you curve the display, I can use a bigger screen, but the bigger the screen, the curvier it has to be for me to use it. I'm using one of LG's 38" ultrawides now with a pretty aggressive curve, but not as aggressive as Samsung is using, but I couldn't use a bigger screen unless the curve were much more aggressive. 800R sounds phenomenal! I would set it and forget it, in part because I'd probably want some kind of movable VESA arm (and it'd have to be pretty beefy!) So this isn't the monitor for me, though it's still quite impressive!
I hate when stand feet prevent you from laying stuff on them flat. I also am not gonna want to get behind the monitor to bend it flat because it's usually up against a wall.
I’ve been looking for a monitor that can fulfill my minimalist needs, i.e. I have to be able to use it as a work monitor, but after work for fps gaming or entertainment. This seems like the best fit so far. The only monitor type that could surpass this for me would be a 42” 4k@240Hz.
I'd like a 16:9 (well, 16:10, but those days are long gone lol) version with true 4K resolution. It doesn't even have to bend, the panel in this thing is damn nice even without that feature.
Bendable feature is nice and all but I would like to see a 32" 4K 240Hz Gsync/Freesync HDR 1000+ nits flat/curved version of this OLED panel. Mini/Micro LED version with better brightness is welcomed too. 🐱
Looks awesome. The io and panel are so cool. If they want feedback, don't lie about the g2g frame times. It's a lg panel and they do 1ms responses. Actual 1ms, not the typical bs "1ms" time. It would be great to see then honestly represent the response times.
My next big tech purchase was gonna be the Alienware 34" OLED ultrawide that everyone rants about, but I'm gonna hold off to see pricing on this bad boy. If Corsair can keep it at (or under) $2k, this might be the way to roll. If it busts $2k, I just don't know if it can justify an extra $700.
Thanks for another awesome review, as someone who has had an OLED TV for almost 6 years now, I'm glad more are coming to the computer space. Jay covered some of my concerns, 3440x1440 seems a bit low for a ultra-wide of this size, and I'd prefer something like the 3840x1600. I understand the design with the stand, but as someone who uses VESA mounts on my desk, this would be a no go for me, if they used an external "brick" I'd be completely okay, but VESA with the "bendable" function would require "three" arms to manipulate it, so I wouldn't really be able to use it. I'm glad there's some innovation and more OLED coming, they've identified a great market, and curious to see the final design.

This monitor is a true flex on those who only have 1 kind of monitor. Yours can be a flat panel. An 1800R, a 1500R or whatever you choose... Now we just need a tiny version of this, with a parallax filter or fresnel lenses, slapped into a VR headset.
The nerd in me loves this. The practical side is a little less excited, but I am sure there are some people that could use this.
Great idea I'm looking forward to this eventually coming out.
Hows the text clarity, response time etc? I was also thinking of buying that one.
@@owlmostdead9492 it's very good. I still have a 1060 so I'm stuck at 60hz and no HDR until I upgrade.
Cool idea, and I agree with the guy who thought it should be motorized.
awesome idea. love the bendy monitor, now all we need is make it portable
So we can make this a flat monitor when playing with friends ? that is quite innovative.
My don't jiggle jiggle. It folds.
Thanks, Corsair your the best 🍺 Paul it's awesome to see you and Kyle back together. Does that mean Kyle going to do a product review in your new office in the future?
Thanks for covering this Paul. I have had triple monitor set up for years. I bend the outside monitor anytime I like anyway......just saying
Toss a jackscrew drive in the base, hook up the bending arms and add a few buttons somewhere and auto bending becomes even more crazy..
Of course I watched your video first Paul! 👍
Something tells me that the pricing will be extravagant and will be for those that just wants to "flex" more. 😆
Idea is great - and so is the execution…but I could see lots of RMA’s in the future from ‘unique bends’ 😆
Great video, Paul! That is an interesting monitor... I kind of like it.😎
It interesting.
I wonder what the pricing will be for this beast? Great video!
I remember when LG Display showcased a bendable OLED.
2:03 That sound is terrifying. Feel like they could've made the bend limit a little more innocuous.
looking forward to MonitorsUnboxed doing a full review, really neat monitor for sure
10:07
Thank you for the panic attack. I thought I was having a mini-stroke.
So about the stats for the monitor:
3440x1440 = 24:10 Aspect Ratio = Dual 6:5 Monitors bonded side by side
Pixel Density = 82.87 PPI
That's below the standard 96 DPI which is used for 100% scaling of windows fonts
I wish LG/Corsair would correct that info, instead of misrepresenting it as a 21:9 monitor
"Comment in the comment section". Nice review. Kyle sure looks like he is doing well it was good to see him.
putting Kyle's guns in there I see.
but the best part is how the IO is accessible. having it on the stand in the back like that is great....could kill using monitor arms though.
I'll definitely be snagging one of these on their 2nd or 3rd revision when the 16th gen Intel/RTX 6000 series cards come out.
thats another 2 years from now atleast
also why intel? unless you also use it for work and shit just get amd its way better
Try 4-5 years. None of your business why I build Intel systems, and in what world are you living in where AMD has the better processors right now lmao?
@@Aliothale rtx 6000 series is 2 years away (shows your knowledge)
and amd is better in pretty much every way intel is a tiny bit better at single core performance over amd but that amount is so small it doesnt make sense to pay so much more for that.
also im the owner of a pc building store and we always ask what the customers goal is with the pc.
most people come for gaming systems some for work systems others just need a standard pc for stuff at home. so all the gamers we give amd cus its better
the workers we give intel depending on the work. and for the normal pcs we either recommend a good laptop with amd or intel depending on their budget.
but seeing your childish response of "none of your business why i build intel systems" tells me you know nothing about it and just keep with the thing you think is best, a friend of mine is like that and my pc is cheaper yet out performs his pc by a landslide cus im running amd.
its simple knowledge maybe try to brush it up kid.
@@thedandy6765 Nvidia releases every 2 years. 6k cards are 4-5 years away. Math is hard.
I can't wait to spend 2 high-end systems worth of money for this panel!
This was just what I was thinking after seeing the Samsung Ark. Definitely worth a while to see what it can offer after a few generations.
Can't wait for HW Unboxed to test it
Wow this looks great, i wonder how many years will elapse before i can afford one lol.👏👍😎🇬🇧
Sell your kidney.
Need to add motors for the bend and tilt function, maybe with multiple presets on the monitor and controlled within whatever OS you're running.
I hate when stand feet prevent you from laying stuff on them flat. I also am not gonna want to get behind the monitor to bend it flat because it's usually up against a wall.
its mindblowing! well done corsair!
"Do you have a curved monitor or a flat panel?"
"Yes"
Definitely one of the most unique new ideas in monitors since the LED.
That answer is quantum, truly.
Bendable feature is nice and all but I would like to see a 32" 4K 240Hz Gsync/Freesync HDR 1000+ nits flat/curved version of this OLED panel. Mini/Micro LED version with better brightness is welcomed too. 🐱
This was made for me, because i'd really like to game on a curved monitor, but do all my Photoshop work on a flat panel.
Looks awesome. The io and panel are so cool. If they want feedback, don't lie about the g2g frame times. It's a lg panel and they do 1ms responses. Actual 1ms, not the typical bs "1ms" time. It would be great to see then honestly represent the response times.
Whew this looks so good. Wish it had a height adjustment. Gonna be so expensive...
I do like how I could use it flat during the work day and curve it for fun I think that makes a lot of sense
I played the original and good Star Wars Battlefront 2 when I switched to a curved screen. I swear the stormtroopers shot better after that.
Thought the flex was a gimmick, but wow, it’s actually super nice! If I could afford it, I’d probably buy it.
