Love the size of this monitor. Hopefully we'll see new monitors with this size in the future. I love my Alienware 34" ultrawide. But I'd really love to get me a 45" ultrawide.

Exactly. I would much rather get that one. Being able to mount it means you don’t have to find a 30 inch deep desk too.

I wish it has 3840x1600. I can't go back to 3440x1440. Productivity was painful. 1600p helps a lot. Will stay with LG 38GL950G till next successor comes out. Also I'm in love with Sphere Lightning. Can't give it up. Too cool.
If you're playing FPS on an ultrawide, my advice is to lower the values for the HUD so it brings the minimap closer to your viewing angle.
if 21:9 was compatible with all games I would be all for it but I ended up going 27'' 240hz 1440p oled 16:9 that way no black bars and if I upgrade will be to 16:9 32'' 4k 240hz oled in 2024 if it comes

Yep. The LG OLED flex does that lol. It's OLED, 4k, 120Hz and bends itself, it's also pretty new, but soooo expensive
I cannot stand curved screens. My eyes when I look at flat look curved and took a while for my eyes to ajust back. Im happy with my new 32inch flast lg monitor. love it and all i need. This is just ott to me. I dont know how anyone can sit so close to a large screen like this

LG is coming out with this exact monitor with a fixed 800r curve that can be vesa mounted, it can be pre-ordered and starts shipping beginning of January.

I have a $11,000 budget, decking out on a a $6,000 budget PC with this monitor, the rest is upgrading my bed. Incredibly excited. Wish there was a way to vesa this monitor which is the only downside. Once the vesa support comes out will definitely get it.

Thank you for including the productivity showcase, this was a HUGE question I had about this monitor. I tend to do my video editing with two monitors. So the fact the Flex makes the workspace of the video editor look so.. "comfy" I was in awe 😁
I'm very curious though 🤔 would it be possible to use this monitor as a dual monitor? Meaning, could I also keep OBS open on one side of the monitor while gaming to see chat along with the task manger?

The resolution of 3440 x 1440 (the same as a «normal» 34 inch monitor) on a 45 inch monitor is a deal breaker

@@dorgan4335 The number of pixels on 45" is so low and it will be so fringy. it should have been 4K.
Yeah the upcoming ultragear is way cheaper with the same spec but the pixel density is off either way.
Also some oleds with the ultra thin display warp and this will 100% be wavy af within a year.
Also no way to use an aftermarket stand? Wtf.
@@dorgan4335 this is basically equivalent to a 27" 1080p, and if you've seen one of those before, its not exactly unusable but pretty awful.

They should have had this at a 40" QHD instead, or making it 4k 45". Probably 40" QHD since that will be more inline with e-sports gaming resolution of 24" 1080p. At 45" 1440p it's gonna be awful for everything.
I personally don't like this monitor, but I cant wait to see someone on setup wars with 3 of these side by side :P

I would love to have seen a higher resolution at 45 inches… a PPI equivalent to a 27-inch 1080p for 1999.99 isn’t very appealing.

I think that ps5 problem has to do with the resolution problem… if you set your ps5 to automatic resolution it should work… I think… it happened to my monitor it kept kicking me off when I hooked it up to a different monitor.

Hello TS. It's a beautiful monitor. But I wouldn't use my $2000g to buy this big ass monitor. I would use this money to purchase me a beautiful gaming PC. Because my old 13 years dell xps studio 9100 just bursted. I enjoy your videos TS.
Dude the back yard is looking amazing holy shit. Felt like it was 2 weeks ago when it looked like a baron desert.
it's worth it for me, excellent ultrabook and macos compatibility with full vrr from 50 to 240 hz, usb-c with DP and PD, very fast kvm decent HDR... downsides: needs additional corsair desk clamp to occupy less space and make it easy to flex, flex feels wonky at first but it's actually quite sturdy, no vertical alignment -- you must setup your desk height from desk legs so monitor reaches proper ergonomic height, oh and on macos hidpi resolves most issues with text fringing -- on windows you need to find a proper scaling because in 2023 windows is still very very bad at this... i work 8hrs per day on it and game / watch movies etc, i use pixel refresh after a long day at the end of it -- no stuck pixels yet ... it's september when i post this -- i would wait for the asus ones in Q1 24 and the ones showcased at CES 24 which will launch in Q3+ 24 unless you can get a good deal for this
it's useful for corner displays, with widescreens, it's hard to place because of the wall, so bending it, is very ideal if you have a corner desk

I have an 38" ultrawide for 2 years now. Not a single time did i felt the need of an idea of needing to bend my screen for whatever the reason. Completely unnecessary, functionless and overpriced feature.

I just love how i can see what that oled panel does in this video through my qdoled, it is kind of strange to be honest, suck that the flex cannot be vesa mounted though...
The LG version of this monitor that is almost out can be vesa mounted, and it has the same exact specs.
The feature to bend or not is the best.

I have a question for you -
My current setup is a 32GP850 (for work and fps gaming like warzone2) and a 48" oled (for racing games)
I'm looking to get just 1 screen to use for both FPS and Racing, If I get the 27" OLED then FPS games will be great, but racing will suffer. if I get the 45" then racing will be great but fps will suffer. I did notice going from 27 to 32 a negative difference but have adapted to it now so all good.
My question is how much harder/worse off were you when playing Warzone 2 on this screen?

pretty crazy, but idk when i'd use the bending, and its probably worth as much as my pc or more.
One of my fans has started to make a clicking sound, it is annoying as hell. does this mean the fan is broken, or is there a way to repair it?

The deal breaker for me is the brightness in HDR.
What's deal breaking about it? It does 1000nits on a 3% window and 800nits on a 10% window.
HDR is junk tech, turn it off and leave it off.

Disagree with the competitive take on UW. Ive seen no drop in skill or “less wins” going from 16:9 to 21:9.
I think UW is more of an advantage in fps games than anything. Being able to see more always helps.
lg has a 45'' model just like this except you can put it on an arm its a fixed 800r curve though

This is the biggest waste of money. I don't understand why youtubers aren't talking about the price to performance like they do with AMD and Nvidia graphics cards.
as far as fps games, i have gotten used to using my peripheral to play and am probably just as good if not better than i was on 16:9, just takes time

LG has the same exact monitor coming out with a fixed 800r curve, and is vesa mountable, it is up for pre-orders now.
anything is vesa compatible... just some self tapping screws. just gotta make sure ur not drilling into anything specific... also it has that screw at bottom.... just build something that taps into it... however.. the LG is vesa compatible.. i decided to go with that just for that reason...

Good monitor. The stand doesn't make sense. Want to run this on a sim racing rig with 3 monitors. No way to hook up. Otherwise perfect monitor.
The 34" QD-OLED 3440x1440 ultrawide AW3423DW or AW3423DWF without native G-Sync is a better option and much cheaper ($1300 for DW, $1100 for DWF, $900 for refurbished DW from Dell).

How long will it take for the picture start to get screwed up by bending it? I'm willing to bet this will affect the picture quality eventually, no matter what they claim.
no issues on a ips 21:9 180hz to play fps competition games xD. Idk about This O-led . However u refer to 21: as a con in fps pros. my daughter is immortal rank in val. shes love acer x34GS 21:9
in some cases its a boost to set down to 16:9 then ur 3440x1440 change to 4k in 16:9.
i find it good for Val. most fps games i win with my 21:9 as i did with my last 16:9. i can never go back to 16:9 :)

21:9 peon, 32:9 is better. Its the same as two 27" smashed together, multitasking is way better for work and gaming is crazy cool. You are more immersed, as your peripheral view is also the screen.

My biggest problem is light reflection on the screen.
I have to turn off all the lights unless I want to see them on my screen.
Any advice for lighting that will help with this?
Or are there monitors where I can have the lights on?
