My late father was born in a picturesque little village called Dent, in Cumbria. The village has two pubs; The George & Dragon, and The Sun Inn. Your video reminded me of it.

To each their own and all that but when abroad in warmer weather, British pub food like this is the last thing I'd want to eat regardless of quality. But it's a good job we're all different! Glad you enjoyed it though.
Sadly a great number of UK tourists want that type of food though , they don't want that "foreign muck"

While I agree there's nothing quite like British comfort food, Tenerife is probably not a place where I'd feel the need to eat it - who needs stodgy food in the hot climate?
Still, it's your holiday Darren and to each his own. We know you're not as bad as other channels and happy to eat local cuisine.

Hi Darren I love your video at the sun inn It a great bar and the food is amazing I will be there in august for 3 weeks and every time I go to tenerife I always go to the sun inn because I stay on sunset bay and I love the food and I know Steve wane and Maria they are very friendly

So far from the tennerife 'series' theres been a banana & ice cream, afternoon tea, A small overdone steak and a frozen yorkshire pudding.. You might aswell of rented a caravan in great yarmouth for the week and ate in the nearest pub chain every night.
I love Tenerife, and I eat what I like when I'm here. It's the whole experience

I have never been to Tenerife but having seen it on your vlogs and a couple of others I will try and visit myself one day. That was a proper boozer with quality comfort food, that mash looked fabulous especially. My go to drink ( although rarely drink these days ) is a Guinness wherever I go. Hope you enjoyed your gins.

Love food again,after being hit by the virus that has no name now( a few times). Don’t have a passport but looking forward to travelling around the canals in August with the family and trying home cooked pub food! Do enjoy your adventures though 👍

If you are on holiday, surely eat what you want. Yes I love Spanish food when I’m away but I also eat a steak or roast chicken. Personally, I can’t cope with the salt on the Canarian potatoes so don’t have them. Leave the guy to eat what he wants. That food wouldn’t suit me but I’m not paying for it and it doesn’t mean it’s not tasting good. Enjoy Darren.

Ah, the red face glow, The post snifter colour change 😨 The holiday hue🥵no not that one. First glance at the food 😒underwhelming sight. A frozen Yorkshire Pudding, always a gimmick in my book. Well stewed steak, mashed (albeit, buttery. Plain simple mash) With a side of frozen peas😏And no extra gravy ☹️I'll allow Ketchup as a fall back. Darren my friend, it would take more than a 4 shot gin & sprite to get me past looking stage. Your word on it's taste, is a given as fact. But on looks "A dogs dinner" 🐶On we go to the next stage of the holiday 😎cheers man. ALLAN&FAMILY

Gotta have good old English grub in an English pub, and that looked absolutely divine! No ketchup though, only on chips if they were present.
The sun Inn is such good value and nice food. That gin Is a typical tenerife measure enjoy . You ask what our tipple is with me depends on time of day and what ime eating red wine with a meal. Nice cold beer in the day . Whisky sour of an evening. Wish I was there 3 weeks and counting x

I used to eat on the beach front in Los Cristianos not so far from the port and the food was outstanding I still drool at the memory of that Hake and Bernaise meal, but it was all fantastic.

Hi Darren, it’s nice to have Spanish food but also nice to have food we eat at home as long as it’s something you enjoy what does it matter, the drinks in Tenerife drinks are always bigger they just pour it in no ripoff measures like back home, cheers Darren

Great looking food DJ and no click bait and pulling stupid faces at the food. Tenerife is a great place for a holiday so why go taking chances on other resorts. Stick with what you know and like.
The meal looked brilliant. What an excellent price as well. As for the "eat Spanish" brigade, i love Spanish food but its your money - eat what you like. Enjoy.

The Sun Inn is a brilliant pub, great staff drinks and food. One of my favourite places in Tenerife 😎🍻
Looked wholesome grub that and thought the mash looked well creamy before you mentioned the butter. I tend to look for as close to a pale ale as I can get, lager is too gassy for me.
Really looked a kick in the peas lol.
Iv never had a holiday more than two days away and that was Amsterdam with me mates not for me I don't like holidays I like being at home I'm not skint I retired at 54 I travelled for 30 years trucking now I just chill but I like to watch places people go in my chair 😂
Haha same here Chris! I used to travel all over the world - Russia, Mexico, Monaco, USA but now my absolute favourite thing is to stay at home in London and watch these videos from the comfort of my sofa 😂
Me and a few mates used to rent a villa during Cheltenham around Adeje, and used to drive down to Micky 'o'' Malleys for breakfast every morning. We had Sun Inn on our to do for Sunday Lunch next time we go, and it's nailed on now. Especially for a few Gins 🤣

Not for me on my holidays,I want food in restaurants that I can’t make at home.However if you felt like eating that,then it’s all good.
I have a place in Tenerife and my family live there. Each to their own, but I would never eat at these type of places. There are so many good restaurants out there for cheap that are authentic or not British.
