how to make TVP bars

  • This yummy bars are very easy to make, made from texturized vegetable protein makes them very low calorie snack. High in protein, sugar free, vegan.
    Ingredients:
    1. 2 cups TVP (texturized vegetable protein)
    2. 2 scoops casein chocolate protein powder
    3. 1/4 cup sweetener (like erythritol, monk fruit or any of your choice)
    4. 4 tablespoons PB2 (powdered peanut butter) chocolate flavour
    5. 2/3 cup water
    6. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    7. 1 tablespoon sugar-free maple syrup (or golden syrup)
    8. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    9. 100g sugar-free dark chocolate, melted
    Method:
    1. Grease and line with non-stick baking paper square baking pan 20 x 20cm (8 x 8inch).
    2. Combine dry ingredients together, Add in wet ingredients, stir until combined well. Press into prepared baking pan and level it. Place in the refrigerator for several hours. Cut into about 10 bars. Once ready put into snack size zip-lock bags or on piece of baking paper and store in the fridge or freezer. Makes 10 bars.
