    Vigilance just has a crazy selection of cards in this set, it sorta feels the meta is pivoting to Blue where it can manage it. Thanks for the vid, man, and congrats on the run on May 4th, it's was a really fun watch to see you piloting Chirrut, I got a lot of value watching your lines and you calling your plays.

    Baze Malbus is something you should reconsider. If you go first, you have de facto initiative, and there's no problem with that, but if you go second, there are still two safe ways to set up: claim initiative without playing anything, and play Leia/Waylay on turn two, since with that, you have Malbus for turn 3 without much trouble. And to top it off, besides Grogu, this deck gains another Waylay, so this makes it much more feasible to have cards with an impact on the board. The best part is that Malbus in that context will have Grit, and he'll be a beautiful target for the Security Complex.

      Additionally, I wanted to mention that I've been playing Entrenched in that build with Baze Malbus. His targets are space units, and naturally, his best targets are Capital Ships and Firespray. So, with 9 Sentinels on grounds, you're doing great since you're using the Control Villany tech backwards, and it's very effective against them as well, especially in your own units with Sentinel.

      He's an interesting card, I just haven't felt him to be super necessary, especially since to utilize him you need to sometimes take lines you wouldn't otherwise want. But he was a consideration for me.

    Very cool deck! I’ve been playing around with a Han deck that tries to abuse you’re my only hope and u-wing reinforcements and this deck gives me some ideas. Might try this skew instead of green.
    Did you ever think about putting you’re my only hope in this deck? It works very well with Ezra
    One thing about mill. Double loss is almost always worse than a single loss. You have to remember that opponents results matter for tie breakers so if you let them win you get better tie breakers.

      I've been running a version of han blue with R2/3P0/Ezra to manipulate you're my only hope, and after playing it the last two weeks I feel like it's a little bit too luck based, even with the manipulation those cards bring you. Don't get be wrong, I do have a lot of fun with the strategy but I think to be able to keep up with aggro or contend against something like Vader blue you need me more consistency

      On the topic of double loss: having someone get a win is generally worse for you than losing a small edge in tie breakers.

    Been testing a lot of the aggro Han Blue - with the force cards and cunning (don't have vigilance). But I struggle against Sabine and aggro. Tried Syndicate Lackeys and Greedo - will try it again along with Gamorrean Guards. That said, I like C-3P0 and R2-D2 for the card draw with Han or even for information regarding when to ramp / use Han leader ability.

      In my experience aggro is still favored vs the Vigilance Control decks like Vader Blue. Edit: I thought you were referring to the Blue Vader and Green Blue control decks that play Vigilance for 6. I can definitely see Mono Blue having a good match up vs aggro.

    Great casual deck, and I can see it doing well in some tournaments, but I struggle to see this going into top 16 at super big tournaments and doing well there. Mostly the Boba match up and you will see a very large percentage of those decks still there.
    Luke Green is going to be a mega tough match.
    To beat it you will need to bring in a lot of cards into main deck that will make it challenging elsewhere. Patrol Craft, Entrench, Vanquish, and a lot of very professional play to know when they do actually have the firespray and when they do not.
    I do over all appreciate the discussion though I actually want to try to make this.. mostly want to see what lando does with this and getting access to resources you put up earlier in the game.. and then with restock etc.. its some fun cycling.

    "A double loss is better for you than your opponent getting a win"
    A. Quite sure that's incorrect. Unless you're at a very small event, 1 more person in the event having 1 more win won't matter. There will be enough other players on that amount of wins anyway. It will also tank your opponent win % which is worse for your own tiebreakers and you have less chance of bubbling in anyway. You want your loss to be to someone who does well in the event.
    B. Not a good take for the health of the game. I don't recommend spreading that.

    • @iamwooooo
      @iamwooooo  17 днів тому +3

      I understand what you're saying, but based on what I know, having someone jump you in the standings will affect you more long term than the tiny margin you get in tie-breaker %. I don't necessarily think it's bad to talk about it though. I talk about a lot of things regarding competitive play, and as long as the double loss rule is in effect, I will have to cover situations where that may come up. I by no means am encouraging slow play. This was just a comment regarding the viability of going in to a tournament with a plan regarding the mill out mirrors. Thanks for your comment!

    • @jaydens8331
      @jaydens8331 17 днів тому

      @@iamwooooo in a large tournament, 1 player jumping you doesn't mean much. A better win % is a big deal. And if you both double loss you're still competitng with eachother on % lol. I play a lot of one piece events where 1 or 2 % is the difference in hundreds and hundreds of dollars in prizing.
