I just bought a 2021 6.4 HEMI Power Wagon level 2 trim package in Granite Crystal Metallic and black rocker panels with no outer badging or distinction from a regular 2500 heavy duty with 7,900 miles on it......what an amazing piece of equipment for $53,000!!!!!
I think the exhaust is out the side so it will not be damaged if you scrape the back, plus it is within the departure angle space, so it does not scrape before the bumper does. I also believe the low weight limit is due to the claimed off-road capability and the effect weight has on that. It can be overloaded for its low limit, but the extreme off-road capabilities (like down-hill speed control) will be adversely affected. In my '16 have carried loads of wood that clearly exceeded the load limit and it was fine in every way; braking, acceleration, stability and could climb my steep dirt driveway no problem. I have read about "speed wobbles", but that seems to be when severely overloaded with people, and cargo, AND speeding.
The reason it has a gas engine is the extra 1000 lbs on the front end with a diesel is a performance and reliablity issue for the drivetrain (in hard core four wheeling). I know because we built a couple of diesel 4x4's in the 90's.
Bought my Power Wagon brand new 2019, traded my Ford Raptor in for it and have never been happier, high clearance bumpers, 37s, better front and rear greasable track bars, piggyback fox shocks, leveled front springs and a couple other small things, never had an issue, run with a local Jeep group, if all goes well it will be my last truck ❤
I am in the market and the power wagon is exactly what i have in mind. Although I am a little worried hearing about the lifter issues for the hemi. My research shows that even the 6.4 is affected to a lesser degree. You are not supposed to idle it...but let's be honest out for camping it's gonna be on standby for a lot. Any feedback on this ?
I put 135,000 miles on my 2012 5.7 Hemi without a single issue or breakdown. I let it idle for extended periods to cool the truck off in the Summer or warm it up in the Winter before I got in. I traded it in on a Power Wagon with the 6.4 which now has 17,000 miles so I've got a combined 152,000 miles of trouble free use from Ram Hemi's. I think the lifter problem is overblown by people who like to think they're UA-cam gurus who use too much Axe body spray. You're going to love the Power Wagon! It's extremely capable off road and gets decent gas mileage around town which seems to be a sore point with some people. If you have a lead foot, yeah your mileage will suffer but by taking it easy I get a combined city/highway mileage of 14.7 which is right where my 5.7 was.
Has "off-roading" in the title, but the guy only mentions price-points and doesn't seem to understand why it's also, by far, the most capable off-road heavy duty truck. Most of the video addresses the way the truck looks and its comfort features. He glances over the fact it has a winch and disengaging sway bar (electronic), and doesn't even mention the front locker. The Power Wagon is the only truck that comes with these features because it's made for off-road...not just a "CHEAP off-roading option".
Because like 99% of PW owners that truck will never leave the city limits so crucial points and features are pointless to mention. That and the rolled up jeans and blundstone shoes explains everything you need to know.
Another Plus To The Powerwagon...Gm Heavy Duty Trucks Don't Have Front Solid Axels And Front Locking Differential And The Rear Shock Vulnerability and clearance is horrible in comparison to The Powerwagon...Seen A Number Of HD AT4xs Sitting Kitty Whompous Because They Must Have Hit Their Low Hanging Vulnerable Rear Shocks... Tremors Don't Have Front Locking Differential Either
Dude… either this guy is 7’ 4 or his truck is a fake power wagon 😂😂.. my 2021 with a leveling kit and 35’s doesn’t fit in a 7’ garage door and this dude is 6” taller then the truck haha
From Canada. I have a 2024 PW with most options. $85k Cdn. $62500 USD. Really looking forward to it!
Not going to get a new PW optioned out anywhere near $62500 USD.
@@kentsimpson850 that’s strange! I guess I got a special deal.
The best value is the 2500 Tradesman with PW package added, 40k with all the off road gear of the PW.

I figured you guys would show the extra storage/ coolers under the rear floor mats…awesome truck…
I just got a 2024 powerwagon, I tested the tremor and the chevy z. The pw just felt like a smoother ride.
I’m enjoying my 2020 power wagon, it’s a beast off-road.

I have one in Minnesota. Awesome.

@derekheuring2984 thanks for sharing ! Nothing beats the excitement of driving a RAM !
Sadly they are so expensive in Europe...used are more expensive then new in US...
I don’t understand the purpose of the 3/4 ton chassis with off-road suspension which limits payload and towing capacity
Seems like an unnecessary combo and waste of fuel
My 2020 power wagon new 62 miles on it flame red 42,000!
what!
@ I have no idea I was probably drunk 🤣
Harmon Kardon is a choice too... Both Nice Options.. Alpine for the rap and Harmon Kardon For The Rest
Rock Slider For Me
