Los Angeles has some incredible historical restaurants, and on this tour I’m taking you on a classic food tour of Los Angeles!
Here are the restaurants I tried during this food tour:
1. Langer's Delicatessen - Open since 1947 Langer’s Deli is an icon of Los Angeles, and after eating there for the first time, I know for sure it’s a must eat destination in LA. They have an entire menu of different sandwiches and dishes, but I knew exactly I wanted to eat the #19 Pastrami Sandwich. The sandwich came with hand-cut pastrami on rye, and an almost equal ratio of coleslaw, which is one of the parts that makes it unique. Along with the warm melt in your mouth pastrami, the coleslaw was cool and crisp, making the perfect contrast. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life at Langer's Delicatessen.
Price - $18.95
Philippe The Original - Next stop, and not too far away in downtown Los Angeles, another timeless classic, Philippe The Original open since 1908. I ordered the beef dip (double dip), one of their signature dishes. The beef was pretty good, and they dipped their bread into the beef juices before serving it. For me it wasn’t nearly as good as the pastrami sandwich, but it was pretty good.
Price - $8.50
Cielito Lindo - Open since 1934 Cielito Lindo is known for their rolled taquitos. I ordered #3 - 2 Taquitos, 1 Chile Relleno, plate combo. The location is pretty cool, in downtown Los Angeles, and it’s another classic legendary restaurant. Overall, the taquitos were ok, but the tortilla wrapper was a little on the thick side for me. The avocado salsa though was pretty good.
Price - $7.50
Lawry's the Prime Rib - Finally for dinner, and it was a dinner I was hugely looking forward to we went to Lawry's the Prime Rib, open since 1938. There are few restaurants in Los Angeles as classic and as much of a location in LA as Lawry’s (actually in Beverly Hills). As soon as you step into the door, you know you’re somewhere special, it really is a throwback in time. I knew for sure I wanted the prime rib and after having a tossed salad a bread, they wheeled out the space shuttle looking carts full of juicy prime rib and sliced us off a chunk. The prime rib was incredibly juicy, tender, and full of extra meat juices. Not only was the food delicious, but it was a really special atmosphere.
Total price (for 2) - $110.60
What an incredible day of food in Los Angeles! I still can’t decide what was my favorite - the pastrami or the prime rib.

Such a heartwarming message❤
Awwww, I do hope this video make you smile on great time had with her. 😊
You mean early ...she's early waiting in heaven ..
Bless you Lynn. God Bless her in heaven. Make sure you go back there and just remind yourself of the good times.
Gotta love how food connects people. Bless you Lynn.
#19 at Langer’s deli is the best sandwich I’ve ever had, so well balanced and they have the best pastrami by far! Melt in your mouth tender. When he says you don’t need teeth to bite through it he’s not lying! Incredible! I finally made the pilgrimage today and my mind was blown.
I have enough food with Mark
That is the sandwich i get at every deli, but i like it grilled as well.
I love how he's such family guy! what better way to enjoy life, travel, be a foodie and be able to have your family with you. Literally the best youtuber.
HELL YEAH
Exactly what I was thinking!
I've had the #19 @ Langer's also. Philippe is the one thing that I miss about L.A. That sandwich with their signature mustard is heaven on earth. I left L.A. in 2007. I SO miss them! I loved Pink's Chili Dogs, also. Thank you for the trip back, Mark!
Micah's SMILE 😃 when dad asked if he was hungry, because he knows something delicious coming up. 💞
The smile on Micah's face when you asked if he's hungry😁😍
Love Mika smile 😊 when dad asked him if he was hungry 😋. Cute 👶 boy 👦 Every time I watch ur videos it makes me so hungry 😋 even though I just eat like one hour ago... Sweet Mika
Los Angeles is one of the best food cities in USA.
I HIGHLY recommend visiting Burrata House! Best sandwiches in North America...
it's something of legend.
Couldn’t agree more! Burrata House has the best sandwiches I ever tried in LA. Their sandwich with prosciutto crudo and Burrata is 🔥🙌🏼🤤
I couldn't agree more Lucas!! by far the best burrata sandwich I've ever had!
I had to visit twice on my last trip to LA! Just so good 🤤
I love Italian food and I couldn't resist trying Burrata House sandwiches with bresaola and burrata... so damn good !! 😍❤️
Did you just say Los Angeles is one of the best food cities in... Los Angeles? Xd
Mark's voice tone is so clear that I can listen to his speaking well. That's the biggest reason that I'm watching his videos.
I like you Because you Respect the Food you dont waste the food...Keep exploring and keep enjoying
Love from Mumbai India..
I wish I could afford to visit to review your food, too.
@@povertychef46 we always welcoming other countries people in our india we know that you like indian food we apperciate that when you visit india contact me i will show the best indian food
How u can Respect food if u kill someone to get it and by eating it u just support them?
I really appreciate cheerful, positive, super polite people, makes me happy :)
I’m so glad he has his family with him, God bless you all
I love how you handle your food. No pretenses, no phony, uptight manners. Just joy all over the place. I wish I could eat like you.
I agree with you. He's great. One thing tho. There are times he could use a napkin and doesn't
That grandma looking at u like, "what is that device he's talking into..?"
Man this pastrami sandwich looks delicious!
They are amazing! He hit the nail on the head with his description.
Would love it to eat in wrap form like burrito style
Made my mouth water just looking at that beautiful sandwich. 🤤
@@judydavis8170 ❤ pastrami sandwich plan
Dude just found your videos and thank you for giving Langers some love! So underrated and part of our city's history. My dad worked at the pharmacy across the street so we grew up going there. #19 on sourdough for me and I'm on heaven. Thanks once again
I LOVE Micah's precious smile!
Dear Mark,
My family and I enjoy watching your videos very much as we are also quite passionate for food. If you ever decide to, try making your way up to Canada. British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia - you will be amazed by the multicultural experience these provinces can provide. From fresh oceanic seafood to niagara farmers beef to succulent Canadian staples like Montreal Smoked Meat and Classic Cheese Curd Poutine - you will not be disappointed. The multi-cultural nature of the country gives you an amazing selection of authentic kitchens that will simply blow you away. Best of luck and safe adventures to you and your lovely family!
Ain't nobody wanna go to canada
I love the ending. Aww Micah so priceless.
All in one day? wow. I love how he enjoys actually experiencing foods and cultures. Inspiring, needs his own show.

Grew up in L.A. and have been to all three places!!! Thanks for the foodie memory lane.
That french dip is wild. We live in Northern Cali and our french dips come smothered with mayo or horseradish, melted swiss cheese, and a au jus on the side for dipping the whole sandwich in. So yummy!
The dessert part is playing with Micah. His laugh and belly are so cute. What a joy watching Mark's video 👏👏
Swiit Lime nothing weird..
He looks so happy, you can't help but be happy for him too.
@Swiit Lime come on. Your mind is perhaps weird. My little cousin like Micah's age always pulls up his shirt to show belly to everyone.
That's no way to teach a child to behave in a restaurant...not cute at all
I love how you showed us Micah's cuteness. He is so gorgeous and I had to giggle when he crouched down and looked into the camera as you were filming. It was really lovely to hear Ying laughing as well. Another great video that has left me smiling. Thank you for all your hard work. Xx
I’m so thankful that I live in L.A. ❤️. Philippe’s is My Favorite. And so many more places. I go too. That I keep a Secret. Absolutely Amazing. Thank You So Much Mark. Great Tour of Los Angeles. Once Again 😇
The lady that popped up behind him at 2:51 had me in tears 🤣
mark does not need weed to enjoy food, he is on a natural high with life, thank you mark
Nobody needs weed
Hes definitely off sativa
Van Damage dumb he can’t get weed out there I’m pretty sure he’s scared
I think he is high in most videos. Would explain all the laughing for no reason, loving literally any food and not being able to describe anything properly
Mark was literally born to do this as his life's experience. :))
"Micah, are you hungry?" *Micah expresses big smile. "Micah, are you full?" *Micah pulls up shirt and shows full belly, lol. Love your family and your vids. Keep em coming!
he is just like his father hahahaha, are you hungry Mark? Big smile and OH UAU!
Mark is a very good natured person who is constantly smiling and eating.
We love you from Los Angeles California God bless you always 💓❤️💜💟😘😘
I love this guys passion for food and he’s not afraid to let it show in ever bit !!!
Server: “are you on vacation?”
Mark: “uhhhhh sorta”
Little does she know
Nonetheless STILL just soooooooooo socially awkward though
Thank you Mark for an awesome tour. As an Angeleno, it warms my heart that you enjoy these wonderful spots. Keep smiling and best of luck to your wonderful family..
You gotta love how he just always finishes everything 😃❤️
Micah’s smile melted my heart!
philippe's is my favorite!!!
lamb sandwich with tons of mustard, one dip is perfect for me,
with coleslaw on the side and some pie. everything is affordable and so very very good!!! i love the upstairs dining rooms eith the exposed brick walls where people scratch or write their name on.
cielito lindo's red salsa is one of the best!!! nice smokey flavor
He is just one happy lil guy. To adorable 🥰. I know that he is older now and still adorable 🥰. Love you Mark
I just ate at Langer’s Deli yesterday for the very first time and I absolutely loved it there. Of course I had to get the #19 and man, was it filling! I look forward to going back there again some time.
How much was the sandwich?
Hi Mark! We watch your blog everyday! It makes us hungry! I love the fact that your wife and son a company you everywhere 😁
Mark you’re the gold standard of travel/food videos / this was epic in LA and your kiddo is so fun and adorable!
That last steak meal almost made cry. Here in England (even if I could afford to) such a meal would be impossible to find. My late wife and I enjoyed 4 separate coach tours of the US. We were too timid to leave any of our numerous hotels, and therefore lived on Hotel food. It is only since discovering Marks video's that I realised what wonders I missed.
And he got a small Yorkshire Pudding, puts Toby's Carvery to shame!
Please visit Los Angeles someday. I will show you all my Favorite Food Places. Everywhere I eat is Absolutely Amazing. Italian. Mexican. Japanese Sushi 🍣. Pizza’s. Cheeseburger 🍔 & Fries 🍟. In n Out Burger is The Best Double Cheeseburger’s In The Whole World And Only $4.00. Very inexpensive. So Good. We even have Great Fish & Chips ❤️👍🥂 Cheers 🍻🇬🇧🇬🇧🇺🇸🇺🇸🏴

Yeah, I’m imagining every bite of that perfect pastrami on soft rye!!! Yummy!
I can imagine him as a kid eating broccoli and be like: "OWWOOW, mom one more, please" 😅
Farid Mammadov 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don't think he ever had meat as a child.
He Probably had 10 bad past lives on the food front. So he is making up for it in this life.
LMFAO (eye rolls) omg I can taste the freshness like it just came from the garden 😂
😂😂😂
I love his happiness when he eats.
Love the places u show us! U r a great find on UA-cam.. when it’s time to travel again I am surely going to some of the places you have showcased
I love Mark's, what I call "Bite Face". That epic face he makes when taking that first huge epic bite. It just completes the video and makes it all that much more wholesome and true feeling.
You forgot the oh wow 😂
Meat collaption.. Col col collapsising . COLLAPSING. "that's all about the meat juices". 😂😂
thats what i laughed on too...collapsizing...hahahahahahahaha
Mark is just a loveable guy, there is nothing bad in him. He has a really good soul. :)
How do you know this?
@@Ricopolico If u cant see it, i cant help you.
Why even ask the question? He is a genuine dude. No question Bout it.
@@rumblinstillkid2023 - Why? Because the only valid thing you can say is that he entertains you or you find him charming. The grandest liar I ever met spent many hours in front of a mirror practicing his genuineness.
@@Ricopolico Correct. He "seems" genuine. Maybe it's a complete charade. But I will assume nah. And why would this grand lair give away his secrets.
I love your content Mark, you are a genuine guy who loves to eat and I enjoy watching your videos, never stop doing what you love ❤️
One of the absolute best videos ever! You made everything look delicious. :)
I just recently stumbled upon your videos. You're such an energetic, positive person, I love it. You get so stoked over things, and it's awesome. Keep it up.
I agree. He is like visiting a happy zone.
I have used Lawry's seasoned salt for decades and never knew they had a restaurant, it looked amazing. Your metabolism must be insane, as much as you can eat you should be huge!
Have you seen his breakfast??😁 High energy foods!!!💛plus he is pretty active!✌️💛✨
SPICE
I've been to Lawry's in Chicago . The Prime Rib and whole dinning experience was wonderful. The Prime Rib was delicious, and while it looks a little fatty, the fats give the flavor that you'll enjoy. Great show and information = Thanks Mark
I really don't like watching ppl eat .....but mark is mad cool and his reactions and explanations of the food ....and sometimes the ingredients makes me want to watch him.....he was mad for this kind of videos.....and he's always so happy great energy

Excellent video Mark. Love your work.
phillipes is the BOMB they've never changed and their horseradish sauce is amazing with their sandwiches...
I don’t know where he puts all that FOOD lol he eats a lot and I bet it just drops down to his feet 🤗
I love watching You eat Mark ...
You make everything look so Yummy 😋😋😋
Yay mark thanks for showing Micah, we all grown to watch Micah's growth in most your videos. Show us more commentacion and videos or your wife and Micah. So we're very eager to see more of your family that are always there in the background. 😊👍
I know this is an old vlog, but I just found it. The French Dip sandwich came about because at the time there were a lot of truckers that stopped along that route. They wanted to eat but didn't have time to stay to have soup or anything else. That's when Phillipe decided to start dipping the bread into the juice for a couple of the guys and it just became a thing. Voila! Love your videos.
Who else is always eating while watching these videos

Me too eating Lay's
I'm eating homemade corned beef and cabbage with Carolina white rice and a piece of a Habanero pepper. Delicious. I'm a foodie all day.

Another LA icon is Pampas grill and Portos bakery the cheese roll, parisian, guava roll and potato balls are a must
Hello Mark, Ying, and little guy Micah! Those are big, beautiful, and delicious sandwiches! The rolled taquitos and prim rib look so good too!
When you present us with food on film, I open my mouth to enjoy. Thanks.
I used to go to Langer's from the 1970s to 1990s when I lived in So Cal. Never disappointed...You're on point! Philippe, Lawry's also once in awhile!
