The deliciosa mint is not the same plant as the white monster; that's a very specific cultivar from a Japanese grower that somehow survives and grows happily with very little green at all.
Obliqua is comming down a loooot in Denmark. I saw a few plants (between 3 and 6 leafs) go for 100 USD. A cutting is not really avaliable, but wetsticks with starting roots go for about 15 USD.
That Philodendron Pluto (non-var Caramel Marble) is still a striking plant when mature. I hear its made from McColley's Finale X Tortum. Glad to hear Monstera Mint is in TC.
True on the monsters mint, I have seen photos from people selling what they think would be a mint, but upon close inspection, there aren't enough flecks to justify it is a true mint. Interesting that you said they are stable variegated, I didn't know this! Thank you for this video!
I just scored a Monstera obliqua about the same size as yours in the video for $40 from a local plant group on FB. I’m so excited, I’ve never seen one for less than $100 so I had to jump on it. I love fenestrated plants, especially the obliqua, m. esqueleto, adansonii, etc. the Monstera Burle Marx Flame is my ultimate wishlist plant.
SORRY OT- I wrote you previously about my two leaf cutting of a Deliciosa Albo that got root rot, and lost all of its secondary roots. It still had like an eight inch main root, but had some rot on the end of it as well. Thus I placed it into perlite for the past several weeks, and kept a good eye on its leafs to watch out for any changes, which there was no degradation. So I assumed it was growing roots. However, while I have not seen any degradation of the two leafs, (other than them wilting a bit), I checked in on the roots yesterday, and it hasn't grown anything new, no secondary roots over the past several weeks. And another half-inch of the end of the main root was rotting again, or at least it was soft. It still only has one long large root left (~7"), but no secondary roots anymore. ***I am also confused about when you pull rotted roots off, and you are left with that thin string, should you leave that or cut it off as well???*** So I am left wondering WHY this plant has not grown any new secondary roots over the past several weeks in moist perlite??? I switched the medium to perlite and leca yesterday, but I am mystified as to why there is no new root growth? I did dip the single large root in GardenSafe's "TakeRoot" root stimulator powder, before putting it back into the leca/perlite. So I'm asking you what I'm doing wrong??? I also decided yesterday to take it out of my den (55-65%), and place it into my grow tent where the humidity is way higher, around 87%-90%, hoping this helps it root somehow. Any information and help is very much appreciated. Please help me save this plant.
I would guess that it’s lack of light. Cuttings need a VERY careful balance of lighting. Too little, and you’ll experience kind of what you’re describing. Too much and the cutting leaf will yellow off from the plant attempting to photosynthesize. Leaving the string of root you’re describing isn’t consequential. I remove anything that comes off easily in a hard stream of water. Humidity levels sound good for Monstera-I found it likes 55-70% for cloning! Propagating is the hardest, but most rewarding part of growing plants. But sometimes it works, but I’ve killed THOUSANDS of cuttings. I hope this helps! Good luck!
I think you already know this, but a caramel marble without variegation or unsuccessfully variegated or reverted is a Philodendro Pluto. Vass difference in pricing. And in that pot is 99% a Pluto
It may just be the two plants i have, but milk confetti does not have the green on the top of the leave. And the regular confetti seems to have larger red splotches as apposed to more evenly small spots on the milk confetti.
Syngonium Milk Confetti is around 5 - 15 $ for a plant in Europe but Grey Ghost and Red Spot Tricolor are pricier to a price of 30-50$, we don't use dollars so that was my evaluation
@@prettyingreen not sure how the Thai Cons are over there, but I got mine just over a month ago for 90€ with 7 leaves most with over 50cms in diameter. A year ago for that size they were like 700/1000€ in Europe and over that in the US for example.
Monstera dilacerata was a description of epipremnum pinnatum. Monstera burle Marx is considered to be either an undescribed species or a sport of deliciosa
Hmmmm interesting. Pinnatum and Dilacerata are certainly different plants. I can see the link between BMF and Deliciosa for sure. And also Epi with Mons.
I think Philodendron Spiritus Sancti is on the list for 2023 too. And I've read an article somewhere that people mislabel Monstera dilacerata and Monstera 'Burle Marx Flame'. Monstera dilacerata is actually a synonym of Epipremnum pinnatum, so it's completely different species. CMIIW
I agree with spiritus being on this list (honestly I hit 10 plants and stopped 😅) it’s heavily being TCd and put to seed so prices have fallen dramatically! Interesting about dilacerata being a synonym of pinnatum… I’ve always thought epis and monstera had very blurry lines! Thanks for the info!
i am not a huge fan of aroids at all. they take so much space and are mostly overpriced. I need all my space for my hoya collection 😅 But I would buy definitely this Epipremnum marble. It's a beauty.
I have a few shelf sized aroids you can get from Ecuagenera, they are really rare, Anthurium timplowmanii, Caladium palaciosii, and Spathiphyllum ivanportillae, named after the guy that runs Ecuagenera. They are really rare in that they aren't really in the trade, just Ecuagenera and a couple of ther places might have them.
I like your insight on the Monstera Mint, It's not worth to pay four figure price or even 500$ dollars for a plant that is fairly Easy to care for, many plants that are couple hundreds of dollars will come to 100$ and hundred is an untold border even for variegated specimens. Spiritus sancti and billietiae variegata are being propagated on day to dya basis so Let's just wait for more people to have it, then they won't be able to keep high prices on them
I agree! We just need time for them to go into TC or be heavily propagated and it’s just a matter of time before the price comes down 😄 Excited to get a mint!
@@prettyingreen @Pretty in Green 3:55 You're holding it! 😆 But you call it by the scientific name. It comes in 2 forms without the variegation: one'a the plain green and another that looks bluish but they're commonly referred to as Cebu Blue anyway 😄

You must have an endemic plant from Indonesia, like Rhaphidophora Megasperma, Rhaphidophora Foraminifera, Rhaphidophora Beccarii, Epipremnum Kujang, Epipremnum Hanoman Bali, or Cyrtosperma.
A lot of these plants really need heat , if you are not in a tropical climate or have heating they are so slow that you,ll be on the old age pension before they get any size , probably better to find species that will thrive in your climate zone.
I just found your channel. I might be interested in the future to buy plants from you, although I would like to inquire what company you use to ship your plants? I know a lot of companies use UPS, I have had nothing but trouble with UPS delivering plants to my location. When I use the tracking option it says it’s out for delivery and either it doesn’t show up for days or it says it’s not delivered and has been sitting at my mailbox For quite awhile. Needless to say I won’t order anything that is shipped by UPS. If it had happened only once, maybe twice, I would consider using them but it has happened WAY to many times and I’m not going through the hassle of trying to prove to them that they screwed up yet again. Sorry for the rant, but if you could please tell me what company you use to ship I would very much appreciate it. Thank you. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄❄️💚🙃
