I ordered a Warn winch bumper once and the powder coating was horrible on it. I tried to get help from the place I bought it and from Warn and neither would help nor take it back. That might be a tip in itself, but long story short it took a couple of passes, but Aircraft Stripper did the trick pretty easily. In the hard to reach places I used a flapper disc. I hope this helps someone that might be doing this project. Make sure you wear gloves and eye protection because it is not for the faint of heart.
Watching you suffer through getting the paint off the can, I figured I would dry my orbital sander and 60 or 80 grit pads. I had the can almost fully stripped using up three pads and 30 minutes. Works like a charm. Fortunately for me, my neighbor has a media blaster box and took off the paint I could not get around the hinge and can lock. The result was like the can was never painted. Now, I prime and paint with the high heat stuff. Thanks for the video!
Just got to be careful when you crank it up that high that you don’t melt the hose that’s feeding the ammo can or you will create a bomb. Really needs a stainless steel braided line.
You need to use aviation paint stripper. I tried hardware stores and they only had useless junk. Had to get the real aviation stripper and wow that made a difference But powder cost is one of the hardest to remove, even with sand blasting
I did to see a air mixer valve ? Pretty much ever DIY build recommends using own or the flame gives off a lot of black soot. How has your experience been ?

Media blasting is definitely the way! Good luck with your build!
Very Cool! 😎
Very tacticool!! Definitely puts out some heat!!!
Hell yeah! Can't wait to take it out on some camping trips!
Great video, thanks for sharing! 🤘🏻🔥

How about just letting it heat up outside and burn off?
hi, on your website, is the 4ft propane hose going to be metal or plastic?
Man I’m going to switch to quick disconnect air hose line for the propane

I wouldn't say it puts out very much soot at all. It definitely has some though so I'd watch the way you handle it. But overall positive.
Unethical to carry a propane bottle? Explain, please.
Misspoke, I meant its not practical to carry a 20lb bottle with you.
Lol...that one confused me too. Using a bunch of 1lb disposable tanks could be viewed as unethical.
@@fat_head_Carland friggin expensive
Bro i was gonna jump on you about unethical😂
I use the wrong words a lot too.
😂😂 it's hard trying to sound smart
