Thanks for the great review! Don't forget the LavaBox is infinitely adjustable. Turn it down in the wind or crank it in the still air. The regulator has a built-in safety check valve so when you turn it really fast, it will drop down to a small flame to keep you safe. We opted not to add the quick connect because they have a tendency to fail. We like things tough and simple. Have fun out there!

Hey LavaBox Team, I just purchased Tabletop Vol-CAN-no (Order #4558 ) and then found this video. So, what about mentioned rubber gasket in the hose that gets hot and sticks to the connector end? Any concerns, issues or do I need spares?

I love this video and wished you did more of them, the gear that you roll with is "Quality" and coming from you is enough for me! Thanks for this great comparison Video. It was posted on other videos that the Lava Box has a higher PSI perse on the regulator thus producing a larger flame. Great video!! 👌

I would go with the one that is "Made in the USA" to support the American labor force rather than supporting the Chinese government IMO.

I have both as well and like them both. Adding some lava rocks to the FireCan helps a bit with the flame and heat. I also think the FireCan runs longer and is less likely to set my awning on fire. I keep one in my trailer and the other in the Jeep. Both are quality.

Thanks for the review. Just ordered the Ignik fire can. Btw a quick google search says Home Depot sells the 10 psi hose with quick disconnect for $24.99. Most of them carry them in stock. If you have gotten one and the fire flame is good and doesn’t bend the fire an thin metal let me know.

Wonder if it is the regulator on the Ignik that restricts it. That or maybe some bigger holes on the Ignik would give a bigger flame.

Started looking at these recently due to the annoyance of how long it can get a campfire to be started and for it to go out, and the fact that firewood bundles are around $10 now and I can easily go through 1 or 2 in a single night.
But I think you just made my decision on which one to purchase. I think I'll be going with the Ignik firecan, see if I can change out just the regulator to a 10psi one, and add some fire rocks. I think that would make it the perfect portable little fire pit, with a decent enough flame to stay warm in colder weather.

    • @TheGrumpyGobbler

Not a bad choice for sure. One I get the proper regulator, I will probably just use the Ignik.
