@Adventuredex Hey Man love your channel as a new Jeep JK owner. Just wondering if you could give an update on the 10 inch Tablet you installed awhile back. A video or just a comment here would be sweet. I'm thinking about getting one.
Thanks Chris! I appreciate the support! I actually replaced it recently. It’s a great system for the price as long as you don’t mind android. Jeepwave 👋🏼
I learned early on to paint with either truck bed liner or rubberized undercoating before I install right out of the box! This simple step has lasted years without any rust on aftermarket bumpers and undercarriage armor, as well it’s easy to fix after a scrap occurs!
I’ve always wanted a jeep and I’m looking at a used ‘12 with some rust on what I’ve read are common places like the hinges on the back and there’s a bit of a hole on the back right just above the bumper. From the pictures it doesn’t look like a lot, there are only 3 places I see the rust. Waiting to hear from the deal before I drive an hour to go see it. A little nervous shopping for a used one on my own & making sure I spot red flags before I purchase anything but I’m reading up & doing my research beforehand. Wish me luck!
About to do this tomorrow Question: 1. Would you have just sprayed the entire fender with the undercoating? Would that have been more durable? Im thinking to use Rustoleum Bedliner, after I apply ospho. If you find anything wrong with this, Ill follow your recommendaton to a T if yours still look great.
Steel is steel, Mother nature doesn't care who manufactured it. Some powdercoating might hold up a little better than others but eventually it's all going to rust just the same. That's just 1 reason why it's worth spending the extra cash on aluminum. Just as strong, lighter & no rusting
Fender Delete i like the jeep without the fenders. Its kinda crazy how bad those rusted for the amount of money you pay.You live in a beach area i live in a snow area and the salt kills any metal.
Sorry Dex but aftermarket flares (like bumpers) are rusty crap I had smittybilt from and back and they rusted too. Some old bass-turd totaled my JKU and actually did me a favor. Riding a 2018 JLU loaded now. EDIT: Sorry Dex, but there is no excuse for a company selling crap that rusts out like that.
Thanks for the comment! Not sure I would go as far as blaming the company. I live by the beach and unfortunately this happens to everything around here not only Jeep parts lol It is common for Air-condition units to rust and outside light fixtures. Its all about maintenance and to be honest, I didn't really think about it until they started to rust! Thanks for watching!
@@adventuredex Your climate is better than mine! I had Smittybilt from and rear bumper on my JKU and they both started to rust in 2 years. An awful lot of money for something that doesn't stand the weather. Your jeep hasn't been pelted by salt trucks. Rethinking the strategy on the JLU.
Yah but it would of been expensive and not exactly DIY. These fenders were cheap for the cost of powder coating, I could of bought new 👍🏼 Thanks for watching!
That's a poor showing for those fenders. They should have been powder coated and never had that problem. I would have used truck bed lining on them instead of paint and undercoating.
COMMENT BELOW - How many times did I say "Alright guys so check it out" LOL Hope you enjoyed!!! #jeepwave

Looks great dude! Best thing about having a jeep, if the part gets too rusty it just means time for new parts! These look like they'll hold up!
Thanks man! Yup time for new parts 😉😉 stay tuned
So happy to see a post by Adventure Dex. Good info. Thanks.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate the support! Jeepwave
So where did you get that rolling stool thing?? Lol that thing is awesome

Always enjoy your video's. Jeep looks good with no fenders order the delete kit.
Thanks!! I think ama pull the trigger on them! 🙌🏼 Thanks for watching
I love your videos... great editing and awesome transitions between steps... rock solid job adventure dex. Keep it ⬆️
Thanks Luke!! Jeepwave 👋🏼
Awesome clean up and painting!
Thanks Jonathan! Jeepwave
Link to fenders
Where did you get the stool?
would Raptor liner 2k pray work and would it last ?
Yah! But I wanted to keep it simple and use materials anyone could get 👍🏼 Thanks for watching! Jeepwave 👋🏼
If i was you ill get the motorbilt super thin flares would make that jeep stand out even better
Do you think Aluminum Fender Flares would have the same Rust Issue? Love your Videos BTW.
Aluminun does not rust.
Thanks for sharing!
The tool kit is so convienet when you need specific sockets. Where did you get that from ?
The big tool kit is Dewalt and smaller one is a rachet end wrench from amazon! 👍🏼
wire brush on a grinder is much faster ..a bit better also for removing the rust..you can put more push into it ..go deeper faster
Looks good.
Thanks!! Jeepwave 👋🏼
You should put some of that undercoating behind the fender on the body so that dirt doesn’t cause that problem again.
Great Suggestion!!
Use Woolwax or fluid Flim on inside of your wheel wells and on the frame
Not a fan of fender delete, but I did like the video. I had rear deletes and any damn puddle you hit, was all over the side.
Free T-Shirts for first comment?😉 Nice video bud! From Canada so after the winter months always got to deal with the rust🤦 Jeeps looking good though👍
Haha thanks alot! I can get you a discount for a Shirt if you want to support the channel! Stay warm in Canada! Jeepwave
@@adventuredex Already got a shirt😎 But would love a discount for the next!
I've read bad reviews about Rough Country's fender flare rusting a lot. Guess it is real lol. But great job on restoring them dude! :D
Thanks!! Mine lasted 2 years so not bad for the price I paid!!

I had them as well and they rusted out bad within 2 years. Ended up swapping them out with some smittybilt ones recently
@@HaloMurderKing1 been running smittybilt fenders when I bought my jeep a year ago
Correct!!
Love it!
Thanks Matt!!
I'd go fender delete. If you're gonna keep these spray the rubber undercoat on the Jeep side to prevent rusting there too
Yah I think I will 😁😁 Thanks for watching

Screw the fenders there cheap to replace with rust its that box frame you need to worry about And why are you getting rust in CA anyway
👌🏻😎
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Rough county strikes again. Lol.
Should of got them powder coated would last longer than that spray paint
Yah but it would of been expensive and not exactly DIY. These fenders were cheap for the cost of powder coating, I could of bought new 👍🏼 Thanks for watching!
Yes fender delete it.
😉😉😉 stay tuned!! Thanks for watching
Jeep should undercoat from the factory. I have a NH rust bucket. Nightmare. Not cost effective to fix.
That's a poor showing for those fenders. They should have been powder coated and never had that problem. I would have used truck bed lining on them instead of paint and undercoating.
Yah probably not they beat coating but keep in mind I had they for 2 years and live on the ocean. Everything rusts!! Thanks for watching! Jeepwave
