With the Blue Cord (Infantry Cord) and the mention of the deployment I would guess the sleep log is because he is struggling with anxiety or PTSD. Check in on him every once in a while and find out how he is doing. A friend like that can make all the difference in the world.
As ex-military myself, this is almost certainly why he tracks his sleep. The somnologist or psychologist he saw in relation to his poor sleep probably told him to keep a log of his sleep. This is how they diagnose sleep disorders and in the case of the military, how he would receive disability compensation after retiring.
@@Imjeezus Retired Army Major here and yep, spot on. Sleep deprivation/sleep log was definitely for annotating this for his VA (Veterans Affairs) claim. I had the same issue (diagnosed with insomnia). It's a real thing. After 3 tours, you don't even realize how bad your sleep is until it's too late.
Man it's sad to see you guys fight wars you know nothing about and in turn get PTSD and stuff. Trust me other nations don't have these problems as much as the states. Sad to see how much you guys are lied to about wars.
My Brother did 4 tours during our last war.... they have a program where you go camping and track your sleep.... it is ptsd .... I am adhd, my brother is not.... we both have to track our sleep. Mine is from 20 years of mixing large conerts.... two different circumstances. Hiking the Appalachian trail is the sheet we are probably staring at..
I remember watching your videos for a full year before I became of detailer. My very first paying customer before I was an actual business had a 2003 Jeep Wrangler that they wanted me to clean up. I ended up doing what you just did and Polished the wheels but they were aluminum so I polish them out and then painted a bunch of different things underneath like the frame in the suspension to try to make it look as good as I possibly could. Wall in the middle of working on the Jeep, the owner went to Hawaii with one of her daughters and ended up passing away in Hawaii she was only 54 years old. She always beg me to become a full-time detailer and said that I was really really good at it and I knew how to talk to people politely and whatnot but I never had the confidence to do so. After she passed away I didn't realize that you never know what can happen. I want on the head and pulled the trigger and I've been doing it since 2017 as an official business. I realize the only true failure is to never do it. So this video definitely is home and brings back the beginning all over again. Thank you for that!
This is what I love the most about this channel. It's not all super cars or extremely rare classics. Larry brings back your average off road rigs & daily drivers. Awesome inspiration to anyone wanting to detail something!!
Hey everyone, thanks so much for the support! Jim's reaction to the detail was priceless. Honored to have been a part of this project. Another milestone was the release of the AMMO Polishing Line. I'm incredibly excited to offer the AMMO polishing system that's been developed and tested in so many of these videos. I truly believe anyone can detail, polish, and enjoy beautifying their vehicles with this system. After the video check it out in the description. Enjoy!
I had goosepimples watching how in awe the Jeep's owner was with the transformation. Larry, you did great work, and is an inspiration to all who watch your vids. Gave you a LIKE.
As a Jeep Wrangler owner this has got to be my favorite episode. I cannot believe the miracle you performed restoring the pain. I was so excited to see it running.
I tested a wrangler for my channel few months ago and fell in love with it, they are special cars 🙂 if only I lived in the mountains so I could get a use out of it 😃
Larry, you’re a helluva guy. It’s great to see American vehicles saved from the crusher. Love and attention to detail cures everything. To the owner of the vehicle, thank you for your service to our Nation.
Larry, your show gives me the vibes of 'This Old House'. Your rich content deserves to be on TV to give the non-UA-cam savvy people some real, positive content.
My 95 Jeep CJ was the hardest vehicle I’ve ever owned to maintain the exterior on. Hinges, bars, indents, bolts and bits sticking out everywhere. On the other hand my 87 911 is a dream to maintain. Smoothly flowing arches from front to back. Great job Larry. ❤
I love that your videos have stayed away from the videos around selling a products/endless sponsors. Its like thr good ol days of youtube. Glad to see you havent change!
Definitely agree with clean glass being important to a customers impression. My dad is a mechanic and always cleans his customers glass before they pick their car up so that first drive away feels even better.
Very nice work Larry! Reminds me of earlier in the year when we surprised my mother with her dream wrangler. We only had a single day to prep it up to bring a great shine to the car before we gave it to her the following day. She was crying with tears from it
I’ve got a ‘97 Wrangler Sport with a five speed like this one. This was an extra fun video for me to watch. It also inspired me to replace carpets and clean the engine bay. It was super cool seeing you do a “common” vehicle - something that wasn’t unobtanium.
Another great job Larry your attention to detail speaks for its self &was clearly instrumental in getting the owner back in the game with the jeep you keep bringing smiles to people's faces job done glass raised cheers all the best
The inline 4.0. A jeep worth keeping I still remember when that straight 6 came out in the late 80's. Damn near indestructible engine with tons of torque.
Born and Raised in the land of the Wrangler (Toledo, OH) and it does my heart good to see those old classic body styles back on the road. The new ones are nice, but they're not a Wrangler.
When we came back home from deployments we had to do a bunch of health assessments. Sleep was just one of them. The form was a sheet you fill out for sleep apnea. The random junk forms from my military career show up everywhere in my retirement years. It just goes with the territory.
I’m also in the military and was given a similar “sleep log” from a military sleep therapist. You don’t wake up to fill it out, but if you DO wake up (which is common if you have sleep issues) you fill it out to help document your frequency of sleep issues. Which in turn helps the doctor diagnose how severe your sleep issues are
Larry - as a recent '04 Jeep Wrangler owner myself, thanks for all the helpful tips and tricks. Little bit of elbow grease and I'll get mine looking like this too!
The spreadsheet is something I’ve done in therapy. He was in the military so ptsd is a possibility and may be part or recovery or therapy. Just my opinion. Great video as usual Larry. Keep ‘‘em coming
This is incredible! As a wrangler owner i know how tedious a detail they can be. This is another level really shows the back breaking labor of love you out into it. My only disappointment was no comments on the soft top! Ice looked everywhere to find solutions and thought this would be the one... I'm assuming you came to the same conclusion most of us do... Needed to be replaced.
Wow, Larry you did it again. Another miracle transformation and the appreciation of the client/friend is the best! Congrats on the new product release!
Hey Larry! So happy to see the new video. My Fiance is Ex Navy Counter Intelligence and we have a 93 ZJ that were building as a couple and were hoping to get it detailed by you for our wedding in October next year. And yes you are invited.
Larry you're the man, man! Way to be a great friend, good guy, and a cool detailer. Simply the best. I've learned so much from you and have thoroughly enjoyed all of your videos!!
It just goes to show, the right equipment in the right hands and amazing things can happen. Great job Larry. I am going to be ordering the cutting pads and the polish to give them a try. I love all my Ammo products.
Not sure what to say here???? What a Challenge on this one, Wires Everywhere, Bolt's Frozen, Duck Tape Stuck to the Seat??? Lord have mercy. What a transformation, and he got it Running, That's the Icing on the Cake. Nice job Larry. Didn't Look like the Same JEEP that came into the Studio when it Left. GREAT Video.
Jeep is neither a car or a truck, its a Jeep. And a Jeep is a lifestyle. I am down to 2 Jeeps currently and have owned quite a few in almost every model.
One of my favorite videos! I’m always so amazed with the before and after! Looks like a completely new car! I also love the video work! Keep up the good work!!
I had tree sap damage that bad before, I cleared it off using the same method as you to give a great finish. One week of sitting in the sun later and most of it was back, I had to go through the whole process again, being careful not to remove to much clear coat.
I slept 160 nights outside in my hammock during the winter to spring on my covered deck. I documented what I wore, temp, humidity, wind chill, wind speed, and the insulation gear used.
With the Blue Cord (Infantry Cord) and the mention of the deployment I would guess the sleep log is because he is struggling with anxiety or PTSD. Check in on him every once in a while and find out how he is doing. A friend like that can make all the difference in the world.

Yall are all correct. I track my sleep and a few other things.

As a Jeep owner myself, this one was very special to me. Thank you Larry from breathing life back into peoples dreams! You rock man.
Thanks so much for the kind words!

Let’s see if you guys can clean the airplane that’s been in the news recently 😂
I had goosepimples watching how in awe the Jeep's owner was with the transformation. Larry, you did great work, and is an inspiration to all who watch your vids. Gave you a LIKE.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Never heard goose pimples before
As a Jeep Wrangler owner this has got to be my favorite episode. I cannot believe the miracle you performed restoring the pain. I was so excited to see it running.
Thank you very much!
Jim’s reaction when he saw the Jeep says it all!! Larry you are an automotive detailing genius!!!!
I tested a wrangler for my channel few months ago and fell in love with it, they are special cars 🙂 if only I lived in the mountains so I could get a use out of it 😃
Until the ecu goes out took me 1300 to get it back running😊
@daily_driver great car, no need for mountains if you are an archaeologist 😁
Holy crap! Nothing like those classic black Cragar wheels! That came out fantastic!
This is one of my favorite detailing rescues so far. Love to see the owner driving it around and enjoying it again.
Makes me so happy!
Larry, wow, making so many people so happy . What an awesome story. Off the hook as usual, just beautiful 😍
Thanks so much!
There’s a reason why I watch you religiously Larry… you sure do know how to bring something back to life.
This episode brings back a ton of memories!!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!! TJ's forever!!!!!
Larry’s videos are always the perfect length, one of the best time editing UA-camrs around!
Larry, you’re a helluva guy. It’s great to see American vehicles saved from the crusher. Love and attention to detail cures everything. To the owner of the vehicle, thank you for your service to our Nation.
One of the best detail transformations I've seen in awhile... maybe up there with ever!
Nice!
Larry, your show gives me the vibes of 'This Old House'. Your rich content deserves to be on TV to give the non-UA-cam savvy people some real, positive content.
I love that when he took you for a ride...the "check engine" light was on! Truly a jeep thing! Great job, it looks phenomenal!
❤
So happy for another banger upload I think in recent memory this has been the longest you've gone between uploads!
Thank You Jim for your Service..... and thank you too Larry...
Larry, I hope you know you're a beacon of joy, positivity and hope for many people out there. Great work as always
Thank you!
I was just thinking the other day it's been a while since there's been an AMMO NYC video, and boom, you drop one
I love the Jeep Wrangler
Very nice work Larry!
Reminds me of earlier in the year when we surprised my mother with her dream wrangler. We only had a single day to prep it up to bring a great shine to the car before we gave it to her the following day.
She was crying with tears from it
20:45 Best video edit on any Detailing channel I've seen.
You made that guy so happy Larry, probably changed his life. Thats so awesome, well done
WHOW!! What a challenge and what a change! Only you and your helpers / heroes manage to finish it off like this, congrats!!
Seeing his excitement makes me want a Jeep again.
His reaction was the BEST!! Amazing job
I detailed a Jeep JK and yes they have a ton of "nooks and crannies"
Nice work bringing this TJ back to life!
I’ve got a ‘97 Wrangler Sport with a five speed like this one. This was an extra fun video for me to watch. It also inspired me to replace carpets and clean the engine bay. It was super cool seeing you do a “common” vehicle - something that wasn’t unobtanium.
Nice!
I've been around for years, and that's surely the most dramatic transformation I've seen 😱
10 years and still watching all your videos! Great vid Larry 🙌
Another great job Larry your attention to detail speaks for its self &was clearly instrumental in getting the owner back in the game with the jeep you keep bringing smiles to people's faces job done glass raised cheers all the best
I appreciate it!
The inline 4.0. A jeep worth keeping
I still remember when that straight 6 came out in the late 80's. Damn near indestructible engine with tons of torque.
THATS WHY I LOVE DETAILING IN MAINE!! THE JAW DROPS AND REVIVAL OF LOVE FOR AN OLDER BUT GREAT VEHICLE!! GEAT VID
I really like how you covered up the rust to stop 🛑 it from getting worse thank you for doing that
Born and Raised in the land of the Wrangler (Toledo, OH) and it does my heart good to see those old classic body styles back on the road. The new ones are nice, but they're not a Wrangler.

missed u man thanks for a solid upload great content!
Skin and Blush are my go-to. A lot of people don't like "coatings"... it's the PERFECT answer.
This Jeep is a time capsule - those Cragar "Soft 8" wheels and the rock shift knob bring back memories for me and old Jeeps I used to have
Wow, what a special video. I love those older 90s and early 2000s Jeeps. 2 door models are the way to go!
Love your work and seeing peoples reactions. Thats what its all about. Glad to see someone so excited to be rejuvenated with their vehicle like this!
Smashed it! A man of his word too . Got it running 👍
I’m also in the military and was given a similar “sleep log” from a military sleep therapist. Steve is an absolute legend.
That first shot of the ‘after’ of the hood at 20:48 took my breath away.
Been waiting for some new vidoes. This transformation may be best one yet!
Love the attention to detail and your constant effort to go above and beyond for your customers. If you were based in the UK, you'd be my go to guy!
The spreadsheet is something I’ve done in therapy. He was in the military so ptsd is a possibility and may be part or recovery or therapy. Just my opinion. Great video as usual Larry. Keep ‘‘em coming
Fun to see it driven again. I often wonder if people take the finished car back to the moldy old place it was. He got this thing going again!
Nothing like getting your OCD going in the morning like those before and after car cleaning videos.
Here's a thumbs up, keep it up.
This was awesome. Seeing his reaction and him driving it and enjoying was great. Good job Larry!
I love that he got it running and driving again 🎉
This is incredible! As a wrangler owner i know how tedious a detail they can be. This is another level really shows the back breaking labor of love you out into it. My only disappointment was no comments on the soft top! Ice looked everywhere to find solutions and thought this would be the one... I'm assuming you came to the same conclusion most of us do... Correct, it was already too far gone and leaking badly. Owner is getting it done tho!
I really like that you guys got his reaction to see his car on camera
Loved the video, loved the music and of course the guy’s face when he sees it. Priceless
Larry you're the man, man! Way to be a great friend, good guy, and a cool detailer. Simply the best. I've learned so much from you and have thoroughly enjoyed all of your videos!!
Finally a new video!
One of best detailer i have seen so far. Great work as always
No words can give credit to that transformation! Just gorgeous
It just goes to show, the right equipment in the right hands and amazing things can happen. Great job Larry. I am going to be ordering the cutting pads and the polish to give them a try. I love all my Ammo products.
Can you also upload a video for that murcielago getting detailed would love to see that beauty get a wash
I'm a simple man, I see Larry post a new video I click on it. Another insane transformation! Well done!
I am definitely not a fan of Jeeps but this is one of the best before and afters ever.
Detailing every single piece of part this guy is true legend ❤🔥❤🔥
That's the most dramatic change you've done yet. Even better than the old Mercedes. You're a magician dude 👏💚😁
I owned a 99 TJ and those Torx Bolts were a pain. Jeep just loved to use them on EVERYTHING in the jeep
The is the hardest I've seen Larry work lol. Jeeps have so many crevices you'd finish watching aftr hrs then you'll find more dirty spots etc
Another great detail Larry. Best line Jordan found a tooth , hilarious
Larry, you're a miracle worker 😍👑
Thank you Larry for such an amazing detail and thank you Jim for your service to our country.
Great Video, Even after 8 years I'm always surprised how great they look afterwards :)
This was a fun one, and always nice to see my man Steve! excellent work!
Thanks Ken!! Steve to the rescue :)
Jeep is neither a car or a truck, its a Jeep. And a Jeep is a lifestyle. I am down to 2 Jeeps currently and have owned quite a few in almost every model.
Not the newer ones...... the last real jeep was the TJ..........
Wow great job. And you could see the excitement and love he has and that he wanted to get it on the road asap!!
I loved this episode. More realistic for the everyday guy who wants to clean up his vehicle. Thank you for the video
So happy for the video!!!! Been missing them
This one was awesome. They all are but this was one of my favorites
One of my favorite videos! I’m always so amazed with the before and after! Looks like a completely new car! I also love the video work! Keep up the good work!!
Thanks so much!
It was so heartwarming to see how happy you both were, loved this one! 😁 The car looks incredible, too of course ✨
This is a 98’ TJ with chili pepper red paint. Best metallic paint jeep has offered. I had a 99 TJ the same color I miss it.
I can't think of any engine in any model of Jeep more desirable than the 4.0L I-6.
*THAT'S BEAUTIFUL!!*
😭
One of the best videos you’ve done!
I had tree sap damage that bad before, I cleared it off using the same method as you to give a great finish. One week of sitting in the sun later and most of it was back, I had to go through the whole process again, being careful not to remove to much clear coat.
Thanks for your service, Jim! Great work, Larry!!!
Cool to see another TJ detailed
Stellar story and refurbish. Suspect it was very satisfying for you.
I slept 160 nights outside in my hammock during the winter to spring on my covered deck. I documented what I wore, temp, humidity, wind chill, wind speed, and the insulation gear used.
Best videos ever!
