The Corroseal did fine on my undercarriage but not so good on my Bumper... I did another video... ua-cam.com/video/7yTDCZU5kAY/v-deo.html and I decided to try out POR-15 Here's another video... ua-cam.com/video/8DOlny1jaDs/v-deo.html
There is spot on my driver side. My father said he fixed it. Well he put bondo or something on there and some grey stuff before spraying over it with flex seal and the rust is heavily pitted now. Basic sand paper n steel wool wont even begin to remove it. Light rust is easily removed with acetone. Ive used it on my guns. Removes rust and it stays gone. But on a car. Its not so easy when its heavily pitting.
I'm thinking of doing that this spring. I wanted to do that but I didn't have the time to take off my bumper and do it right. The temps were dropping. :(
I’ve used DRX, and once you apply you wait 5 minutes and wash off with some pressure wash and the rust is washed right off. Forget the Naval Jelly and other stuff (except for POR 15 and Eastwood, those are really good). The only better thing is a 1000W laser (look it up). Try it!
thank you for this!!! I live in an area where the dept. of hiway uses salt, it leaves a light paste like film on my Jeep (2014) especially underneath, almost like a slurry tbh, I try to wash my Jeep but with temps dipping down to -40c...anyway you get the idea.
Sometime in the next month or so I plan on doing my frame and skid plates. Between the OSPHO and the Corroseal which one do you recommend? Also how well did the Krylon Enamel hold up?
@@JeepMomma Lol. That's good to know. I was planning on using Rustoleum Enamel Paint as a top coat on my frame and axles after I treated some surface rust and primed.
@@JeepMomma HAve you had any rust come back to your frame or undercarriage since you did this? Currently on stock bumpers so I'm not worried about them.
Thanks for reviewing those products. While in the future I will likely go with corriseal for as surface rusted as my rear bumper is... Im going to have to use number 5 (the No. Drill powered rust remover)
Hey Jeep Momma, how did the Corroseal area hold up? Seems like this was a little while ago.

@@JeepMomma thanks Jeep Mama for all of your awesome videos. Got my own project to start now. Happy New Year 2020
@@cathykitts3389 Good Luck!!!
I have used the Corroseal on my Jeep undercarriage and on a boat trailer. I have been happy with the product so far.
On the hard core rust on my bumper didn't do as well as under the Jeep.
Hey I hope to have my very own jeep soon and start having fun love all of your videos very helpful.
I wish you the best getting that Jeep! Mine changed my life.

Rust is such a nightmare!
heard best way is to grind them with wire wheel till bare ish metal then apply rust converter before a paint em

Yeah its nasty. Look into fluid film for your undercarriage
Thanks your pics are really dark hard to see the different results. Awesome
Sorry about that.
Wire wheel cordless drill equal bare bright shiny metal. There isn't any sense painting anything on unless it is shiny metal first.
Thanks
Thanks!
thanks jeep momma!!!
Your welcome!
You can use dilluted vinegar and it works great.painters it use it for a long time.check some videos.ive used it since I was very young
Wow!!! I will try it. Thanks

I prefer ospho. The krylon holds up good. Except if you scrap over rocks. 😂

@@PKendall317 yes cause I keep scraping them on the rocks
Can you use that under the jeep such as the frame?
Yes I do and did.
you need to paint all of in with bed liner the whole bumpers in a thick coat and be done with it
I wish I had the money to do that!

Your Welcome! Getting rid of the rust for good I think might be impossible
East coast winters eat cars alive. My JL already has rust spots :(
You are so correct!!! That's awful the JL already has mud.
Great video thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Can you drive it over the 24 hr wait time?
ALEX BIGGS I did. I just made sure it wasn’t raining nor did it get it wet
How do you get the rust of your Jeep parts?
The vinegar is washed off after 30 min and it turns rust black.it kills it
