No dragging here- people can be cool or GTFO ;) As for a non-alcoholic version, I think it’s absolutely possible, but I have not personally tried it. The absence of the Whiskey will definitely affect the texture, so maybe either add in water, or, use a lighter milk/cream. Also, have you tried any of the N/A whiskeys? This might actually be a great use of those! I did a review a while back with a few options. I think the spice notes of those might actually work really well and give you the festive feel of Bailey’s without the alcohol content. Let me know if you try it!! Cheers!

I just finished making this recipe and it is spot on! Baileys Over Ice is pretty much the only adult beverage that my wife will partake and she lit up when she tasted it.
A year or so ago, I found a Tropical Bailey's and can honestly say...it was every bit as "dangerous" from a "not getting totally hammered" standpoint as Baileys. I would love a recipe for that, but since self control goes out the window when Bailey's enters the chat, I haven't really tried to find a recipe to make it at home. Oh, I make my own vanilla with Smirnoff and vanilla beans. Wonder if that would change anything?
The first time, I watched the video out of curiosity. The second and third times, it was to make Irish cream myself. Well, the fourth and fifth times were just to see you enjoy the Irish cream. It's so much fun to watch. And now, after making it myself, I also understand why...
I have made Irish Cream every year for Christmas as gifts to friends. It's so simple and quick. I replaced the extract for Frangelico liqueur and it gives it a nice almondy flavour
I love Baileys. I drink Baileys while smoking pipe tobacco. Smoking London Blend or American Virginia Perique with a cup of Baileys and slow jazz really make my day joyful.
A coworker gave us some homemade Irish Cream for Christmas last year. It was so good we asked for the recipe. Pretty much identical to yours. I actually like the taste of the homemade better. I made some and also use it on ice cream! Hoping for more this Christmas.
I made mine exactly as you recommended, and it was a total success. That creamy richness, slightly enhanced with coffee and bitter chocolate... I just replaced usual condensed milk with preheated caramel condensed milk (the darker and thicker texture with that caramel goodness); and whiskey with my homemade whey and barley distillate. My wife and her friends told me the result is even better than the original. Thank you so much for this video ❤🎉
OMG! I ENJOYED THE HOMEMADE Irish Creme TUTORIAL. I will DEFINITELY try your recipe. I'm a fan of Jameson as well. The presentation from beginning to end was the best. The ingredients were superficial and very inexpensive. You nailed it. Keep up the good work and WEAR YOUR SMILE. YOU WORE IT WELL!!
Went to a party and one of the White Elephant gifts was a bottle of this Baileys. When it was my turn I forgot to steal this gift. Asked where they got the recipe and they directed me to this site. Just made my own. It is perfect. This is THE recipe you need. Thank you Savidge Kitchen, great video.
Just made this myself. Might be because I'm from the UK, but it's more expensive to make this than to just buy a bottle of Bailey's. But not by much. And technically cheaper in the long run if you make it multiple times. But it's delicious. Actually prefer it over Bailey's. Less of a burn. Will go down a treat as I made it as a Christmas gift. 😊
I made this with condensed coconut milk, Elmlea Plant Cream and a teaspoon of vanilla extract, a shot of espresso instead of instant coffee and everything else the same……OMG! So gooooooooooooood!! ❤
I had lost my recipe and looked up how to make, came across you. Everything is exactly the same except the almond. And I do have some. Thanks, you did a great job.
This looks amazing. After an 80 hour week in the kitchen, my go-to sipping drink was always Baileys over ice. It was the best way to wake up. Coffee, a glass of baileys. Do my errands (I was walking around Seattle). Spend the rest of the day working on a bottle of the Irish Cream, and decompressing after stress laden hell. This would have saved me thousands of dollars over several years in retrospect haha. Unfortunately, (or fortunately?) I have given alcohol up. Really cool recipe, even if I never get to try it!
Just made this AGAIN! Went w/almond extract, followed recipe, blended, then poured into glass bottle to chill in refrigerator for a bit. Impatience overpowered me, so I poured some over scoop of ice cubes, ready to watch BritBox 😜😋 LOVELY! AGREED! Comforting!! MAHALO! 🙏🏻
Thank you!!!! I just made this for the holidays. OMG! IT WAS A HIT. EVERYONEEE loved it and said it taste just like the Baileys from store. Thank you so much for this recipe!❤
Great video -- very creative of you to come up with a homemade version of such an iconic liqueur. Love the idea of a coconut variation as well. Thank you!
My wife has it with her coffee every morning as I do also myself on occasion. We stopped buying Bailey's because of the high price compared to Carolans and Dewey Irish cream but definitely not the same. I will try this recipe and let you know how it goes. Thank you for sharing! :)
I made your recipe it turned out fantastic! I made it to gift it to my friend but I am afraid it's not going to make it to her house. It is so good! Thank you for the recipe.
I’m going to try making this low carb. Evaporated milk instead of condensed milk, brown sugar swerve, and slightly watered down heavy cream(from shelf-stable powder). I’ll compare carbs between whiskey and NA whiskey. Another commenter suggested this recipe is as costly as Bailey’s, or more so. I’m reading responses to a comment about making this NA, such as hot sauce to replace the whisky’s kick.
Curious to hear how it goes! The texture will definitely be different, but different is ok! I love when people make adjustments that work for their particular tastes :)
I made a lactose free version, so made my own sweetened condensed milk from lactaid whole milk and some Dulce de Leche. Found a lactose free half and half and followed your recipe for one bottle and then a second with 2 tbsp of the dulce de leche. Everyone seems to like the second more. I added it based on your orange hue comment. Might be worth a try.
Excellent! I made both versions, and they came out yummy! I added xantham gum (1t for the coconut version, 0.5t for the half and half one) just to give it a smoother consistency. Thanks!!!
I saw your video went down the shops bought the ingredients and was drinking it an hour later. I think I will reduce the amount of almond essence next time but excellent base for devoping your own preferences. Thank you 😊
I been working on this cocktail for a few years. Been a lovely journey, and the almond and coconut were the last ingredients I sussed out. Here's my recipe: - Whiskey of choice (you'll end up trying vodka instead, and all sorts) - choc+coconut+coffee liqueur (or alternatives out of your cupboards) - soft brown sugar - Madagascan vanilla extract, and almond extract - single cream, and thicken with double cream as needed - pinch of salt as needed to take out any bitter notes (amount depends on the other ingredients you used) - Stick it all in an empty 4L milk carton and shake. - Let it settle in the fridge. - Stir, or gently tumble the bottle, before pouring. Enjoy
I love your presentation. I'm going out to get the ingredients today. Baileys is expensive but I'll make due with your recipe. Thank you your awesome ❤.
Thank you so much!! I hope you enjoy the recipe, and if you only make the half batch I show here, you still end up with coffee, cream and whiskey left over to use up in other ways! Cheers :)
I don't normally drink wine, beer or the hard stuff. But I do really enjoy a Christmas tradition that I started for myself many years ago of sipping Baileys at Christmas time. But this year I'm having a hard time finding it. So I'm glad to see this recipe. Really good video production and presenter presence, BTW.
Taste is acquired. Don't be surprised if our home made cream tastes better for some. Good recipe and presentation. I will try adding a pinch of cinnamon and cardamom. Variety is the spice of life. Cheers ❤
Now I'm ready to make Espresso Martini's. I just finished making this recipe using Raw Sugar and Jameson. I did a taste test with some Baileys and I could not taste a difference. I followed your recipe exactly except I dissolved the coffee in the Jameson before adding in blender. Loved it. Yesterday I made your Kahlua with Bacardi White Rum.
I make mine almost exactly the same, but I also add a little brown sugar. Homemade is sooo much better than Bailey's. btw, this makes a nice Christmas gift for your neighbors.
I tried this on Christmas this year. The Jameson Cold Brew Whiskey and Coffee flavor and it was SO, SO good. Everyone loved it and now I'm off to the store to make it again for family. 😀
I finally made this and LOVE it. I had plenty of Jameson and other ingredients. So, I made more! I added more Nescafé and added tbsp of caramel sauce, along with the chocolate sauce. It turned out decadently delicious! Thank you for this recipe/video and for the tips on altering ingredients! Super simple to follow along and super simple to make! Mahalo! 🤙
I am not much of a drinker, but my Irish cream in my coffee is a must and the occasional toddy too. Irish cream or Coureur des Bois with Milk and ice cubes. Coureur des Bois is maple syrup based. We buy it in Canada, have not seen it in the states but that does not mean they don’t have it. It is VERY worth getting…..yummy!

An awesome recipe! and very satisfying to watch! the only problem is it is impossible to ask someone who likes to drink alcohol to prepare this drink, he will never intentionally mix Jameson and condensed milk :-)
Good recipe, gonna try it. I make an Irish crean cappuccino and a Hazelnut cappuccino using International Foods creamers. Just so tasty. But I use moonshine instead of whisky since its readily available and inexpensive.
I made this and she's right. It is bang on. I had white creme de cacao so I used a splash of that 4 the chocolat. I used 10% creamo which i thought was plenty rich. And id say start w a 1/4 tsp almond extract because depending on what u have it can get too strong very quickly. Love this and so glad it turned up in my suggestions.
