In this video, you will join me along an exciting eurovelo 8 bikepacking trip as...
I woke up in a hotel room in Jesolo. It was nice to have warm bed, shower and morning breakfast after week of stealth camping.
Even though i had to work all day I found time in the evening to explore Lido di Jesolo beach on my brompton.
I had 2 missions, find beach dedicated to hotel guests and withdraw cash from ATM.
After chilling on the beach and scouting city for cheap ATM I heard weird screechy sound coming from my Brompton. I had to stop and take a closer look.
After an inspection I found out, that I had faulty brake calipers that were somehow misaligned. I couldnt continue my journey until i fix brompton brakes. It was just too much friction that would burn the tire. So I head back to hotel to try to fix it with my bike toolkit.
Next day I had to move to Lido di venezia by taking a ferry.
It was breathtaking sight on Venezian lagoon. Then I booked into hotel and had to work for the rest of the stay. After few days in comfortable hotel, I was looking forward to hit the road again and continue on eurovelo 8 journey.

Jesolo is a seaside resort town and comune in the Metropolitan City of Venice, Italy of 26,447 inhabitants. With around six million visitors per year, Jesolo is one of the largest beach resorts in the country, and ranks 7th overall as a tourist destination, and fourth (behind Rimini, Cavallino-Treporti, San Michele al Tagliamento/Bibione) most popular Italian seaside resort. With 204,711.4 visits per thousand inhabitants, it is also one of the 50 Italian towns with the greatest tourist pressure. Its 15 kilometre long beaches and proximity to central Europe make it a favourite destination of many German, Austrian, Dutch and French visitors.
The city's economy is mostly based on tourism. Jesolo is a seaside resort with abundant holiday facilities and its 15-kilometre (9 mi) beach called Lido di Jesolo. At the height of its touristic life, Jesolo was hosting 6.5 million tourists per year.
Venice is a city in northeastern Italy and the capital of the Veneto region. It is built on a group of 118 small islands that are separated by canals and linked by over 400 bridge. The islands are in the shallow Venetian Lagoon, an enclosed bay lying between the mouths of the Po and the Piave rivers (more exactly between the Brenta and the Sile)
The lagoon and a part of the city are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Parts of Venice are renowned for the beauty of their settings, their architecture, and artwork.
Venice is an important destination for tourists who want to see its celebrated art and architecture.[106] The city hosts up to 60,000 tourists per day (2017 estimate). Estimates of the annual number of tourists vary from 22 million to 30 million.

It is really unusual for european habits to have a limited breakfast on a plate. Most of the eatable food at the italian breakfast is sweat and unhealthy stuff. Italian kitchen is one of the best in the world, but their breakfast is dissapointing.

@@VietPhan No, a lot of the Italians eat on their way to work a bit (and good stuff) in small bistros and drink there a espresso while communicating. In the hotels the breakfast is most of the time just sweat stuff.
